I don't know what it's like over there in America Land, but ever since I've been a student in the UK, the government have been THROWING money at me. And about half of it, I don't even have to pay back! Why should some dipshit student be expected to pay less money to watch shit films than the people who hold down full-time jobs and no doubt work harder than said dipshit students? I mean, if you're in higher education, you're presumably there for a reason. You're there to get the qualifications you need to go out and get a job that pays a decent wage. People who have degrees, typically earn more than those who don't. They don't need to be spoilt with cheap DVDs on the way to all that future wealth. That's just greedy!
And if you're only in higther education cos' you can't be arsed to go out and find a job; you shouldn't be being encouraged by being rewarded with a discount price on Meet the fucking Spartans!

^ As a student I definitely appreciate businesses that offer a student discount, because who doesn't like discounts? But those are actual businesses who are benefiting from offering student deals, they are not just doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. I'm one girl who is trying to make enough money to survive and pay my own tuition. I get no benefit out of offering discounts to random people for Skype shows. The government certainly doesn't throw money at me for being a student! And I don't want to be in debt so I'm trying to get through without taking out loans. So I find it kinda insulting that someone would be like "Hey! I'm a student and I'm poor, and I want to make sure you're poor too, so here is a great idea...you should work for less money." It's pretty much a lose/lose and just made me facepalm that he would even ask. I'm not a movie theatre, dude...I'm a cam girl...no student discounts here.
