I do remember reading posts from models about how LiveJasmin will penalize models for not doing whatever the guy wants. I think that's pathetic, and I can't understand why anyone would stay on a site like that when there are other sites (with better reputations than LJ...that's for sure) that will allow you more freedom.
they got no other option, moslty of livejasmin girls can not speak english, so they cant hanndle sites like cb, mfc, strip etc ... they go to studios where trainers are typing for them.. there you type, u dont need to talk, / also other part of the models , dont wanna do any free shows , they prefer to stay all dressed till they get private to get naked .. and almost all the studious work with lj so girls who cant work home got no optionthey go to studio and stuck with this site wich got even exclusivity with studios ..

  • Performers registered in the nude category need to engage in nudity and are required to follow the customers’ requests during private sessions.

Wow, I knew that LJ was bad with their rules for models, but I have just read through some of that Wiki and just, wow, they are ridiculous (some are fine but a lot are stupid).

Definitely a sweat shop, yes. Based on what models have written here about how many hours per day they spend in front of the cam, LJ is bordering on ridiculous. In order to qualify for the basic 30% commission on LJ, models will have to spend 100 hours on cam over a fixed 14 day period. That's a little over 7 hours every day and no days off, and the studio is likely taking a cut of those 30% too. There is some other fine print too, but overall it has a smell of trafficking.

I've said it before, but spending money on LJ is definitely out of the question. That they have intrusive video pop-unders with sound on effing every adult web site in the world isn't helping either.

Who TF are these cam models having intimate conversations?
Didn't read all the replies. I can tell you for a fact that is super common on Lj, which btw was the main reason I left the site - not shaming models here, I want to be clear - but if basically most of them just do the same it can not be a coincidence, right? Not 100% sure, but I can assure you that some will keep some sort of notes on you to the point that even after a week or two they will still remember what you told them, like where you were going to, or what you were going to do. Not to mention the fact that, sometimes, I still remember I felt like I was in some sort of interrogation room. Like, What's your age? What do you do? Where are you from? Like, wtf, isn't againt the ToS to exchange personal infos or what? Totally creeped and weird me out. I guess, that's where the love con starts and vulnerble men fall for it. My 2 cents.

Yeah, I think you must be right.
I can't even remember all the details of my own personal life, nevermind a bunch of other peoples.
That would creep me out too. I struggle trying to relate to how any guy could find that attractive, rather than scary.
It saddens me, because there are literally 1000s of women on actual dating sites, who are truly looking to date men. And who truly want a relationship.

on streamate we have the option to leave notes on member accounts. i use it remember members specific show types/fetishes, their first name if they ask you to moan it, or note to ban if they come back for another show. it makes sense if some models use it to keep tabs on their 20 Q&A sessions.

Not to mention, so many members seem completely oblivious to the number of people we interact with daily and EXPECT us to recall common and non-distinguishing things about them. 🤯

Oh I'm sure they keep notes. One Eastern European model often brings up earlier stuff. Like we're both into horror movies and one time she asked if I watched that particular movie. We discussed it briefly weeks earlier and I've completely forgotten about it.
I do recall when I first met her, she was asking a lot of strange questions like what's my haircolor and even how tall I am!

Thanks to this forum, I will never be the vicitim of a lovecon. I often hear from these models how they missed me, that I'm their favorite member, etc, etc. That's always a big *rolls eyes* moment for me and I never respond to it.

Yep. If you somehow progress beyond the hellos and howareyous, they occasionally begin rattling off questions to complete the cover page on your dossier. Or at least that's what it looks like. The lure of someone taking an interest in your person is as old as mankind, although it could just as well be the model attempting to keep conversation without any particular agenda. Always hard to tell, and the us guys' spider senses aren't always working as they should when there are tits involved.

I once had a Romanian studio model pump me for info about visa and immigration requirements to move to my particular European country (I did not lie to her about this), but as I pointed out to her; Romania is member of the EU, so just pack your bags and your passport and go. She clearly had the script for "US site member" in front of her.

As a man, believe me, you really have to have to have time for that. Aways preferred thing to be more organically, naturally. Does this make any sense?
keep tabs
Makes sense. And I have nothing against chatting. You are right, even from a business perspective. I get it, I understand, you get hundreds of members visiting your chat on a daily basis and ofc you have to keep some sort of notes on them. I'd totally do the same. But all these studio models - btw I didn't even know what a cam studio was before I joined ACF - believe me, - and of I can't speak for all of them, just my experience here - do and behave exactly the same. Not bashing/shaming here, want to be clear. Everybody's got to do what they have to.

But if you switch side and put yourself, let's say in a member shoes, believe me, it's really weird, because if you follow 2-3 models on that site they basically ask you the same thing over and over, like, are you profiling me, is some kind of script going on here? Not to mention that sometimes you totally forget what you have said to whom.
I will never be the vicitim of a loveco

Joke's on them. I'm a Virgo. I have no feelings, Cannot be love conned. I'm joking.

Yes, that makes total sense. It's the honorable thing to do, to avoid relationships if you don't have the time to devote to them, that way you are not tricking anyone. It seems like some of these guys do have a lot of time on their hands though. Romantic relationships take a lot of time and emotional energy, and as most of us know they take a lot of compromises, and don't go anything like GFE fantasies that are paid for, and can be turned on and off with the click of a button.

Sometimes I wonder if maybe these scammers prey on, and target men who are less experienced.

Seems unlikely that someone with a lot of real-world social experience (let alone dating) would fall for these scams. From what I recall over the years on the forum, the victims are either inexperienced or lonely older people. I have some more thoughts on this, but I really don't want to sound like I'm being disrespectful so I hope that makes sense.

Welp, if I understood correctly how some of those studio work, the studio itself might be the one training them from the get go to manipulate that way, and yes I'm sorry to say, they 100% talk to each others about tactics and ways to scam you more, and depending on their relationships with their boyfriends too if they have one and he knows, I unfortunately personally know this.

Thank you for the conclusion to the story, it's gonna help some realize hopefully before it gets out of hand like it did for you, good luck with the recovery ! :)
Thanks all, to be honest I was a little scared to come back here and see some of the replies, so I really appreciate everyone who did and the support. Let me try to answer some of the questions

I'm partially worried now she got promoted to a trainer or admin or something. She was the studios top earner for 3-4 months because of this game. She has not cammed since mid-october, this was her retirement basically...which I guess is one thing she didn't lie about, she wanted out. My guess right now is the mom she lived with was code for her boyfriend. She would hide in the bathroom or go for walks 2/3rds of the time she phone/video called me.

big propz to you for sharing your story, which i am very sure will help a lot people in the future that supposedly fell for love and maybe will find this post.

i wish you much luck in recovering from that loss.

female cam models that do this job for a long time are getting very "smart", due those tons and tons of very intimate conversations they have with men, they gain lots of experience and EQ, they always will be in a position where they easily will be able to outsmart/outplay every avarage men if they just wanted to do so.

while i am very sure its possible to get together with a cam model (primarly from some "poorer" countries), there always will be risks involed, because everybody should see this as clear as it really is, men "fall in love" because of the exotic beautiness of the model (thinking with their third leg) and the models "fall in love" because they potentially see a much brighter future for themself in you or the benefits in general. even if you found an "honest/legit" one, one that does not try to just milk and drain all your money, it still always will be some type of a trade/deal, like some unspoken "arranged" partnership/marraiage, which - not get me wrong - dont must be a bad thing perse, it could work out indeed for both sides, but everybody just need to admit those truths. its the only real reason that makes sense, the only real reason a model (which proably will be very attractive and have a high sexual market value) will choose a men from the west or so called first world and not take one from down there.

in RO/BG even if the models got a university degree, it will not grant a high salary job or any employment at all, because the educationlevel there is also inflated like in most countries these days, i am sure nearly every woman born after 1990 will be studying something and most of them will be able to get any university degree, but in reality the avarage real earner in fulltime+ jobs (no matter the degree) still maybe gets +/- 300 USD/Euro a month, which sure will be enough to survive...

but every additional 50 or 100 USD/Euro they will earn will have a much much higher impact! on their quality of life (if they primarly live in the countryside down there, a couple of grand still could be a livechanging amount of money! to help the family or whatever), thats the reason why there are so many woman from down there doing this job, even if they get just a little amount of tokens from a user, they still will add up at the end of the month to an amount which will be at least the same or even higher as they proably could earn in a fulltime+ job, and as additional benefit they will be their own boss and could work from home and decide about their own working hours, its just the smartest way to go if they got a little selfesteem and confidence.
She liked to pull the convo game alot, but she also would just do the job at times too. She had been on 5 different sites she said, changing them as one became less profitable. She probably had alot of experience in this, and I think she had done this to a less profitable extent in the past. She told me about alot of her members, and she had alot of old ones she had "special relationships, but not like that" with coming back and giving her "lectures and speeches" towards the end. Yeah I know....red flag missed.

Not true of normal cam models. I spend and have spent 0 time having "intimate" convos with men. Sometimes weirdos try to get that way, and talk like that, and I cut them off. That is less than 2% of men and 0 percent of regulars I have. My time is spent stripping, and doing pornographic or fetish acts for money. I've been doing this 6 years, and saying full time cam models do that, flat out isn't true at all. This is something scamming models may do, and that some men apparently imagine happens lol.

I look at dicks being jerked off for money, and convo goes; "Ooooh baby yeah... ok now from behind... oh yeah baby... oh fuck baby... thanks baby, that was great. Kisses. Happy Holidays.". Then I get a message saying; You have received 10 GOLD from Superrod6969. In free chat I talk about banal superficial things or joke in an impersonal way, as most men prefer. I have 0 desire or want to talk about anything intimate with my regulars, and I can guarantee they feel the exact same.

Who TF are these cam models having intimate conversations?
Am I wrong here models? Are the rest of you guys having intimate convos? I won't even talk to a guy unless it's business/ cock related, so guys who go on about themselves and their lives and life problems, get blocked. Maybe it's just me, but that's how I make good money. Why are some men saying we are experienced at having intimate convos? Isn't that just raging paranoia, or is this part of token sites or something? Because its not like this for me on SM at all. This isn't the first time I've heard a member say that same thing here, so I'm really genuinely curious wtf they are talking about? What models are they visiting that do this?

Just saying... perhaps from a Buyer's point of view, you might want to be suspicious of models who encourage all this intimacy and familiarity, because to me, that just flat out isn't normal. So maybe that should be a first warning sign.

ETA; Glad you've come to your senses OP, and are warning others not to be duped.
Yeah, I went to the site for the same thing, just to watch some porn, tip for whats in the tip menu, ect. She was not very popular at the time, and something about her seemed different, so I talked. But she was the last person I talked to on my first time on a cam site. I work a wierd schedule, so there aren't alot of people awake when I get home. I talked to some other models after I figured things out to verify if any of the contests were real and many were more than happy to chat about it. But by that point I had a shitload of points so they probably thought i was a big spender and worth it.

Assuming this was being done on a cam site,
You should report them.
Not a long rambling report.
Just the specifics.
They asked you to give them money, and promised to pay you back. Along with any documentation that specially support this claim.

Nothing will probable happen from it, but who knows maybe the cam site will take notice and take action.
Met on CB, she moved it to stripchat because you can send messages anytime there...even offline. I reported her to the site, gave them copies of anything I thought they might need. I reported to law enforcement here and Romania as well. I was told to report all the charges to my credit card companies. Some have been returned, some not. She said her studio was working for certified with that site, and they seemed to have a close relationship, sending models to cyprus for meetings and shit. Like you said, it seems nothing will happen from it, although the site did say something about "models bad behavior" in a reply. Her account has not been deactivated, despite "no scams against memebers" being in the model rules. But like I said she stopped working 3 months ago. Some of the contests she said were sanctioned by the site, Miss XXXXchat, ect. No, she didnt win it, I checked. But she told me she did lol.

@EliMarie717 On token sites its more common to have a community and buddy-buddy relationship with regulars, but its very clearly not a romantic one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a popular independent NA cammodel pull one of these scams, at least not here on the forum.

Like makko said, I think this is a studio thing...There are plenty of naive and lonely people of there, and its built into their business model to capitalize on that. (Not saying ALL studios and EE models, but a lot as evidenced by the examples on this forum). Love scams are an old con, and camsites create an ideal platform. Think of how many ppl we get coming thru our chats who dont understand what camming is and think its dating.
Trust me, I didn't push the dating. But she knew I was looking because of intimate emotional convos talking about it. I told her specifically after I noticed how intimate they were becoming that I wasn't looking for a fantasy. I thought she was a friend and treated her as such. A month later she began the "I feel attached" and "I wish you were closer, I dont think distance is an inpediment" stuff and I reiterated my concerns. I trusted her because she gave me personal identifing information and intimate details of her life....which I assume 50% of was made up back story bullshit now. I was the perfect target, I must admit.

@EliMarie717

first of all, i can just tell from my experience, the things i see as a regular user/customer of token sites (just sites like CB)

and i am also not speaking about the models that are more- or semi- successful with 100+ users in their channel which already have their higher 5- or 6-digit follower counts, because as you have explained it correctly, they dont have the time anyway to start any "deeper" conversations besides the simple and appropriate responses to the multiple incoming tips per minute from the different users.

but those models are not the majority on CB, they are maybe just the upper 25% and there are thousends of other models doing hourlong shifts and they only got maybe just 5-20 users in their channel best case and maybe have 4 to low 5-digit follower counts, which mainly split up in two major groups, one half of it from south america who barly speak and understand any english without google translation, and the other half is from eastern europe. and those last group often speaks english on a very fluent level due to their high level of education (as mentioned before, a lot of them started studying at least something at some point in their life)

and as Makko described it before, its a very common behavior of some of them to involve users in converstations on their own! some in public chat and some by pm or both combined, i think there are various reasons why they do this (keeping the room alive and users engaged or just keeping them there (maybe for ranking reasons idk), some may just try to lowkey upsell into PM or privates or other stuff, or just trying to give the user a good or secure feeling so he will come back in near future and some of them seem to be just honest interested in the users life... maybe sometimes just with bad intentions as we have learned already... and some other really seem to search their ticket into a supposedly better world)

its mainly those group of cam models that i meant with my post above. they are chatting more or less intensively with hundrets or thousends of users (men) in their career, and as i said before they are very smart. they gain a lot of experience when it comes on reading a mens mind and his intentions and they can interpret any future behavior very accurate or even be able to direct/manipulate it in some smaller ways, just if they wanted to do so. its just a skill they have gained at work, and the average user typically does not have this same background of experience and lacks most that.

so it never will be an even situation (especially when it comes to "love"), the cam model is like a salesman from a backyard preowned cardealership which sells hundrets of cars a year, while you are the average customer that buys 3 cars in your whole lifetime... if you are not carefully, there at least is a high risk of getting outsmarted
She was 3k followers and if she was lucky she had more than 10 members in her room when we first met. Alot of times it was just us. A few months later she had 15k followers and regularly 60 to 100+ in her room. She still tried to keep up the convo, and she was working other members at the time too I realize, maybe not as hard but she gave out her name to others I have learned. Its a good way to build trust when you are confident in your scam. She would also send pictures of when she was a kid and her friends, hopefully thats another warning sign to anyone else who may come across this post.

I honestly wish these studios would go away.

These scammers just make my job harder. I just want to be paid to have some sexy time and entertain and not be harassed constantly with guys trying to meet me. Camming used to be more enjoyable.
agree to all, that was my intention at first too. I talked to someone ( not a model) from Iasi. They said that studio in particular is known for training models this way...even other Romanian models I asked after this happend talked shit about Iasi studios. I forgot to say earlier I try to hire an attorney there, but I think he doesn't really want to pursue it.

I really wish other sites would follow in suite with MFC and ban studios. I know I rarely hear/read about loveconning happening there anymore. I'm sure it still happens. I truthfully feel like it helps keep the folk trying to take advantage of others checked.
models from this studio are still on MFC, she told me some of her friends worked there.

I disagree. You cannot build a group of fans that way that will last long term. It's not a good business move at all.

I mainly work on private based sites, don't perform for tips in free chat have been camming for years and have never ever once pretended to be in love with any customer or talk about meeting them.
Those type of guys will always quit spending once they figure out you aren't going to meet them anyway. It's not a way to make money long term. The best long term customers understand this is entertainment and nothing more.

There is a huge difference between being flirty and sexy and having fun with your clients than trying to play on emotions. It's way less draining and more fun to play with men who are in it for the fun of it.
Yep, if it werent for COVID, I would have probably figured out like others. She used me to retire it seems, so she didnt care after a point about long term fans.

Emotionally manipulating men and it's men's fault. WTF. Models do have the choice not to be pieces of shit and not lovecon. Hell majority of models experience dudes trying to cross boundaries don't.

Those models aren't smart but fucking garbage. Just because someone is conflating camsite as a dating site, doesn't mean that person should be taken advantage of. If you can say no to specific sex acts, you can also say no to their romantic advances

Yeah models are going to lose members of they say something they don't like. But that's apart of the business. Members come and go all the time.
true members come and go all the time and others are coming... Unfortunatly this is how is working thats why so manny treaths about this matter . Especially on livejasmin where models dont only wanna masturbate in pvt , they wanna keep long conversations also, so finding guys for long conversations going there after a while, becouse u cant talk about wheather every day,.,,start to pretend intrested in that guy life and how he feels , , guys starting to fall in love and girls are having what they need, long privates with someone that cares , she can pretend sick he dont ask her nothing just to watch her in the bed .. Thas why i am happy i work on free sites, same attention to all the room , , people tipping togheter, making goals togheter and everyone happy .
She said that was her first site, so I think you have it right. Longer pvt easy tks.

It makes sense. I would have agreed months ago with you. Its harder when the person gives you real identity, face-times you and other things that are verifiable with a simple google search or a picture she sends. People who are not used to being around liars tend to see others as more honest. There are also people getting out of long relationships that are vulnerable. As in any scam and relationship, once you are financially and/or emotionally invested, it becomes even harder to get out or leave. There is always just one more little bridge to get over, they string it out until you are drained.
