I'm really interested in peoples voices, accents, speech patterns, cadence

I feel like (especially initially) someones voice can play a large role in how attracted I am to them and how I perceive them

Id be interested to know if models here have actively worked on their voices, whether to change their accent or get a different tone for different situations

Maybe even like "phone voice" some of you have a cam voice?

I know my cam voice is often a little higher than my regular voice. Women will subconciously pitch their voices higher when they're trying to be more attractive to a potential mate in order to make themselves seem younger and thinner.

I do character voices, too, but that's a little different. . .

hell yea.
I have like 2 absolute least favorite models... both of them have accents I hate. well, one, the accent might be ok, but her fucking bitch street hoe attitude makes it impossible for me to tell. the other one it's hard to explain, I guess some southern belle'y accents I just don't like (whereas one of my favorite models is from Kansas).

nope. I'm kinda just a blokey cunt. I don't do queeny shit or anything. a couple of my favorite gay guys are James Adomian and Todd Glass, because they show you, as Stanhope says, there's a difference between 'gay' and 'faggy'. I don't feel the need to affect some sort of character like you'd see on US TV, just because I know most of my tippers and commenters will be gay and maybe accustomed to some of those cliches in people with my body type/role/preferences/etc., I just treat it like a normal conversation, albeit one where I have to squint a lot.

I enjoy playing with accents, but I've never done it on cam.... YET -- I'm going green panties and irish accent for st paddy's day f'sure :D I doubt I'll be able to stay in character that long :p

I have a different, deeper voice when I speak English rather than Romanian I have been told. It's unintentional though :)

Haha, I have higher voice when speaking English, especially while on cam, but maybe I intentionally make it softer.

I have deep but childlike voice. Used to be one of those mute Eastern European models when I started, and I'm still very self-aware about pronunciation and vocabulary. My English is advanced, but from time to time I get short for words.

I'm very into developing a Domme persona, but I worry that making grammar mistakes would ruin my authority. :cat:

LOL I was thinking that before I even read it. -- pronunciation errors are usually so adorable.

I used to work as a telemarketer a couple of years ago, slingin' Kirby vacuums. I would have to cold call potential customers from a list of people the company would compile and convince them they wanted a free deep conditioning of their carpets or buffing of their hardwood floors. It was an incredibly competitive field, so I began working on my enunciation, intonation, and pacing primarily so as to develop a good phone voice. I gradually became interested in elocution/articulator exercises as a result. I like to practice once a day.

Here's one that I love:

Then again, the grammar nazies must feed their passion from Eastern European's rooms.
They're like kids in candy shops :happy::happy::happy:
Tried being a domme and couldn't get more than a few words out. Think English not being my mother tongue doesn't help.

The part of this I want to highlight is that you used to be one of the mute Eastern Euro models. (and I know this is not part of the OP, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway). As a native English speaker, I don't care if you butcher the language. Many people I know IRL who grew up as a native English speaker butcher the language. The grammar police has its place, but those who correct someone whom English is not their first language are just trolls.

The reason I say this is because I wish more models would speak and not just type. I'm sure there are reasons, but that's just me, I don't judge. Hell, I'm even impressed that you know a second language, no matter how limited.

I know about self-consciousness. Do what you're comfortable with, but I have been in rooms where a EE or non English speaking country only typed. Which is cool, if that's what they are comfortable with, but their typing English is better than most of the members, I'm sure their speaking English would be fine.

Just throwing this out there for any models who might feel embarrassed about their English. But still, do what you feel comfortable with.

Same here. Except that I don’t speak Romanian but German. I also sound completely different when I talk Spanish. My mom even told me that it sounds more natural and my behaviour changes a little even though she doesn’t understand a word.

I’ve been told that my voice is super soothing and seductive when I’m tired or after a night out drinking. But that’s probably normal. I don’t really notice it myself though.

To answer the initial question: Nope, I don’t have a camming voice. I’m so focused on keeping my shit together on cam, I can’t possibly focus on my voice at the same time. However, I do notice changes in my voice from time to time when I get excited on cam and then I try to calm it down a little.

@MiaCrash @LilFitVeve Oh the fear of grammar mistakes when trying to be sexy…I know exactly how you feel. I don’t have a very strong accent when I speak English or at least not an identifying accent, so I feel it would sound extra weird if I made mistakes. Like people would notice that there’s something off but they could probably not pinpoint what the issue is exactly. But that’s probably just a thing in my head and I find other ladies’ accents and mistakes charming.

What has helped me a lot was transcribing audio porn and then use some of the phrases and create my own little scripts. Literotica is great for that and if you are at it check out Eve’s garden. I love her style, she has a very natural, encouraging and positive approach but she doesn’t really do femdom. You could still use a lot of phrases and add your own little twist to it. The transcribing part really helps to get the prepositions right and allows me to give JOIs that are actually feasible for the guys. At least this is what I believe. I have yet to try my new skills on another human being. :haha:

when I'm on cam I turn on my sexy little horny babe voice and just ham it up lol. I have several tags and a few regular customers who really enjoy just hearing me talk. Ive bumped up my quality last week with a nice blue mic and I'm sure my guys in my room notice. I do face a challenge of some of the guys being content to park iin my room and getting what they want from hearing me in public chat lol.

When I first began camming I would, of course, purposely talk louder with a more high pitch voice because the members would LOVE it. My accent is 98% californian, 2% southern.

It's interesting because as a child I was always with my brother and his friends, so naturally I deepened my voice and when my real voice would come out I would get embarassed and keep it deepened. I was one of those tom boy "I can't be any girly at all" sort of girls.

Now, the deeper more mellow voice is pretty natural for me because I've been doing it so long.... That being said my boyfriends xbox friends think that I still sound like "his little sister." They think I'm a child.

I can only imagine what the monstrosity my members hear when I heighten it.

When I started camming, I knew no English. For the first year, I didn't speak at all, when I finally had the guts to do it, people made fun of my accent. I was terribly insecure so I silenced myself for another year.

Meanwhile, I developed a love for movies, so my way of speaking is a conglomerate of multiple accents picked up by mistake from movies and catchphrases learned while in my own chatroom.

When I do speak English on cam my voice goes up a note, I do not believe that is because of the different language as it is to make people think that I am more approachable.

I have terrible issues in what regards making myself seem available and approachable, people always think they will be punished if they say the wrong words or just terrified of rejection. So I decided to do that thing with my voice to seem less powerful, less sure of myself, less smart, just less because all those mentioned above seem to intimidate the guys in my room.

I have done this for so long that it has become the way I speak when I speak in English. I also smile involuntarily when I talk and my face overacts impressions, eyebrow movements, smile, laugh, I am basically a moving continuous emoticon if I speak out loud in English. It happens everywhere now, either is a work thing or a cam thing.

That thing, however, does not happen at all when I speak my native language unless I am really excited or involved in whatever topic is in the discussion. I guess that my brain is hardwired to do all those things only when speaking English.

In a way you get the real me, in another you get the real me hyperbolized. Depends on how you want to look at it I suppose.

I hope that my answer was of some kind of help.

Love accents on girls who speak English well but swear it's broken. Those I doubt are trying to do it for effect, but I think it does add a level of attraction for sure.
