I think a lot of models get thrown into a room by a studio, and barely told anything about the ins and outs of the job, what to expect or have much guidance at all. So when that initial flurry of members dies down they aren't really prepared to keep the momentum going.

I quite like a bit of openness and appreciate some candour, though of course I wouldn't expect or want a model to tell all. I've even said to some they should be more careful about what they reveal, for their own safety and privacy. Seen too many doxed or stalked and abused by psychopath members.

This particular model is under a lot of stress, so I will somewhat put last nights debacle down to that, though I still feel a bit hoodwinked.

Was the other site CB? because it is fairly common for people to use a bot to enable a hidden show when they enter a private on another site to avoid logging off, many pay 0 attention to the details of the bot they just find one that works and enable it.

I haven't done this before (just from laziness) but I thought a lot of models recorded their privates and sold them as clips. Isn't that kind of similar? Yeah, I think it's kind of confusing not knowing exactly which sites this was on.

Those are usually heavily edited. So it's typically not the full show, or even same show at all. A private on SM is not a one on one, that's a group show anyways. I resell group shows without heavy editing sure. I think a lot of people assume its the full show, and it's absolutely not. I backed away from reselling exclusives, unless the guy OKs it first. However even when I did, they are so heavily edited, even the original buyer would not recognize it. So no, in my world that is completely different.

I think a lot of people assume models who do this just slap it up there. And that's not the case at all (at least it wasn't with me).
So the assumption is disappointing. To be fair Idk what other models do though.

I was avoiding saying the sites (not 100% sure why, privacy maybe) but ok. The site I had organised the private show on was CB and she had set the ticket show on Stripchat.

She has a secret show bot on CB that enables that when she has a private on other platforms, which is pay per minute and essentially the same as spying on a private show. No issue there imo. If someone is paying per minute for a private show, then if someone else wants to have a look, in my mind they should be paying per minute too.

I actually had a chat to her last night about it, she apologised for it and made me a mod in her room on CB! Not banned at all. So I guess the answer is, 'not the asshole.' ? 😅

I took what others have said here on board and mentioned to her that in the future, if we were to do that again we will make the expectations clear on both sides. Thanks people!

She had a much more productive show last night, even putting some of my advice into practice, regained a little confidence too so it was good to see her more upbeat.

That's where I'm stuck. He said he knows her on both sites so why not offer to tip where she had the ticket show or did she go into the ticket show thinking she was complying or...I really don't like only having his side of this situation.

Kind of reminds me of a person I knew who said she fell asleep while driving and ran into a ditch and almost froze to death but failed to disclose to the entire room that she was drink driving when it happened. Like that's a HUGE detail, sis.

Edit to add: so it can't be SC or SM because how would he know both sites? You can't give that info out, right? Not even a Twitter...now I'm even more confused.
Pretty off topic at this point but I have the same username on SM as MFC so have already been recognised in under 2 weeks being there.
Definitely plausible that regulars would know you're on both if they scroll/search for your specific attributes.

I understand her need and situation. I do not feel comfortable talking too specifically as I know that "private" means different things on different sites, and my only experience is SC. If what was described happened on SC she has broken terms of service.

If it was me, I'd have just tipped the tokens in the public show.
I did end up tipping in public after the 'incident'. I had bought the tokens for her so they went to her either way. :)

Yes I believe it did break TOS (and trust between myself and her) , I should probably mention that to her so she won't get in trouble for it in future.

Again, this indicates that the studio she is in really isn't giving her much guidance as to how to manage things between the sites.

I've been debating the download feature on SM...it really would take a lot of editing to make something out of a one sided conversation and disjointed show...much easier to just make something that doesn't have "oh the c2c stopped" and me slowly reading their typing all squinty because I took my glasses off :haha:

It's dead easy to guess what other platforms a model might be on, especially when you hear tip sounds etc and are active on them yourself - or, as you say the screen name is the same.

Every site should probably have the ability to mute the sounds on the model's side, for privacy reasons. I know some models do this by muting all sounds completely, but also seen it being used to hide split streaming privates and exclusives when really they shouldn't be.

From a a user point of view (and speaking purely for myself only) no, not the same.

For me a model owns their stream, including any private shows. They can do what they like with it *after* the show is over. Although if it was a model with whom I was well acquainted I think a courtesy "is it ok if I sell our private show?" or even just a heads up "I'm going to edit and sell this private show we had" would be nice.

But I'd not sweat it if the conversation did not happen.

So far on SM the only way I can see to mute tips and random dudes c2c heavy breathing is to turn my pc sound off!
The c2c has a mute button but can only be clicked once it's already started...it's so awkward!!!

To be totally honest stream recordings really aren't that big a seller, especially if you still do livestreams...they can just watch that.
I've not sold any pvts so I don't know how popular they are, I do know that they're generally catering to the person who already has it...and the camera angles aren't as ideal as filming, nor are there set changes or anything like that.

It'd definitely not be ok to sell a PVT if it has any personal info about the buyer in it.
And silly to sell an exclusive pvt without talking first if you want the person to book again!

So, just for vague informational purposes, as a user on SC, if I buy into a ticket show I am expecting to be able to interact fully with the model. Not just sit as a voyeur.

(I have no idea of how a private show on CB is defined)

Yes your chat is seen in the room, by the model and everyone else, even if they aren't in the ticket show. It's basically a smaller public (but more private room) for members to tip the entry fee to open the blinds.

To be honest your recordings may not sell but others do. I mean what the actual fuck?

She did not, ticket show is not a public show.

ETA: I read after posting this response that the private was supposed to be on CB and ticket show on SC. No site's TOS was broken that way. Feelings and expectations are another thing, but when it comes to both these sites' rules everything was above board (and as I said above it also would be if it was the other way around, pvt on SC, ticket show on CB).

Thanks for the clarification, I'll have a read of the TOS myself out of interest :)

I find many of your comments not to be 'direct' as you like to describe, but outright rude and often condescending.

Yeah you've been a model for a long time, seen it all, know it all, will shoot a caustic reply to someone and involve yourself in the discussion then say something akin to "you're not worth my time" or "you aren't worth listening to".

I don't intend to start a war here as it's counterproductive and in general this has been an informative and enjoyable discussion. You are welcome to PM me if you have something to say, but I mean what the actual fuck.

Lol she wasn't even talking to you nor about you.

I am curious to get some clarification on that, are ticket shows on CB Interactive? If so, I would suggest that if a private show was on SC, with an interactive ticket show on another platform it would indeed be breaking SC terms of service.

I wonder if @Charlie_SC can clarify for us?

A ticket show should be, though because CB allows scripts, bots, apps etc I would imagine it would depend on what was being run in the room.

As for the TOS for SC, in the "Rules for Models" section on their support page it states;
  • Models are not allowed to stream any type of Private show to other cam sites. If you're multi-streaming to other platforms and get a Private or Exclusive Private show request on our site, you must stop those other public streams before you start the Private.
Prohibited actions include; (this could loosely apply here)
  • Deliberate/planned scamming, harassing, or insulting of users or other models in any way
  • Asking users to cover your personal expenses like utility bills, medical treatment, loans, or any other expense that would lead users to believe that you are beseeching.
There will no doubt be nuance in the way they police these rules and will likely be up to their support team as to what they decide crosses the line.

SC relies heavily on users reporting any activities they think are unfair or breech the TOS in my experience, also for the reporter to provide evidence of such. A representative would be able to clarify that further.

I didn't mean that they don't sell at all, I meant that they don't sell as well as other video types.
I also didn't say that was the case for everyone, it's just that it's generally what I've seen.

It wasn't a personal attack or anything of the sort.
I don't see why you chose to be aggressive at me.

I totally misread your tone and that's my bad, I apologize. Sincerely.

I gotta side with @misterical here.

I get that SMuser69 is a long-term Amberlander, but where I am from, you do NOT use people, you use objects. Saying what they said is certainly a bad look, IMO objectifying models.
Yeah, it was the word "use" that sat badly with me. I'm not entirely sure why as we all know that a lot worse is said in actual cam rooms but still.

And I don't profess to speak for anyone other than myself. To do so would be impossible, because everyone has such diverse views on subjects. Maybe the analogy between pirated music and so on was a bit weak but I was thinking on my feet at the time.

As far as I can see and understand there's nothing about shows on other sites during a private on Stripcjat being or not being "interactive" in TOS, only about them not being public. Ticket show is not public. As for "interactivity" - that's up to a model how they set it up and run it. Again, I'm talking strictly about the site rules, not about what is a good business practice or fair behavior.

Anyway, last night she was pretty upset about it all and offered to reduce the tokens/min cost for a private for an hour. I bought some tokens and sat down to have the private and was looking forward to it, thinking I was helping her feel a bit better and have some fun myself. I've enjoyed chatting and always tried to be fun and tip in her room to keep things going.

I start it, she asks me to wait a couple of minutes while she is typing something and I hear a bell chime go off, she had set our private as a ticket show for a measly 60 token entry on another site!

i totally understand about not wanting your privates not split streamed onto other sites but she was giving you a discounted show for an hour. holy crap, thats insane. you really werent doing her any super big favors. she was losing money for what she normally would have made in an hour-long private. normally with discounts, you need to make up the remaining somehow.

she also probably couldn't really communicate that she was starting a ticket show on another site, since that breaks TOS. sites will totally ban a model because they announced to their chat room they are offering cheaper options on another site. even if it's to a single pm. the bot scanning all our chats doesn't understand nuance.
Yeah I understand there is a balance, I suppose it does depend on the model and theres no one catch-all strategy. It's more that I have seen it happen a number of times now, the member will come in get what they want for 10 mins, spend their $20 and not come back, so aren't converted into regulars.

what you are describing is a typical private and how lots of models make their income. most porn purchases are impulse buys and the majority of the people who i have interacted with are never heard or seen from again. from my experience it isn't retaining regs, but the audience. you want that revolving door of new people, because regs do not last. they are nice and definitely enjoy the gravy-train while it lasts. when they inevitably leave, models aren't going to be hurting because it was a loss of income. her doing cheap ticket shows that are basically spy with privates is a great way to grow her audience.

now if you were paying full price for a private, i'd think you'd have a leg to stand on. im sorry if this sounded pretty mean. i dont really like when members think they are doing the model a favor when they are the ones benefitting more. if you want a truly exclusive private, pay more for the exclusivity or experience your privates being turned into spy shows.
