That would be kind of hard to trust that exchange lol not to mention you still have to do work if you want cash for it


It wasn't for exchange for anything, but as a gift every so often. But I used to get pizza gift cards some times on a weekly basis and sometimes on a monthly basis for like a few years. I did get a really nice pair of leather chaps once to do a custom, and that was pretty awesome.

*Asking me what hotel I'm staying at when I go out of town, because he wants to have flowers sent to my hotel room. Lol. Y'all really think y'all are slick, huh? And don't seem to realize how creepy this is? I don't want no damn flowers (that are just gonna die anyway) from a dude I have no romantic feelings for, and flowers don't pay my bills. Just TIP ME.

Someone wanted me to go to a sporting goods store and pick out a bass fishing boat and trailer. I let him buy me a lawn mower instead.

I've been given plane tickets and baseball tickets, MLB TV, restaurant gift cards.

Some of those things sound kind of fun.

When I first started an artist in England wanted to mail me a portrait of my face. I agreed because I'm into art myself, and I specifically went through a stage of doing faces myself also.

However, when it arrived, it was decent, but not as good as I could have done myself. And I'm OK; I'm not great or anything. So when he requested to send a 2nd in exchange for a custom (because he couldn't afford a custom), I declined. Had the first one been really great, I may not have declined, but it wasn't; it was very rudimentary. I still like it, and kept it, though, but it's not something I'd hang.

I am artistically inclined myself, so I want to do what I can to support the arts and entertainment, but I have to draw lines (haha, no pun intended).

ETA; That was a one-off, and I gave him a generic address where I was able to pick it up. I would probably never do that again, and it was my first year. In general, I want to be very clear that having these guys mail you things is risky, and something to be very, very, very careful about, or perhaps consider not doing at all.
