What would make camming easier?

Can I just say from a models perspective what would make camming so much more tolerable?

1. A simple hello from people that enter your room.
2. Put your money where your mouth is….if you say I’m attractive or do a good job send a tip.
3. Don’t just sit and stare and lurk! It’s a live chat room and it’s meant to be interactive.

What really is distressing to me and always has been is when you try to be friendly and nice and members just ignore you and continue to stay in the room.


I am trying to move from my toxic living environment to get a better place and being on cam when it’s silence and so slow is so difficult.

I don’t know how much more I can take between my personal life and toxic living environment before I loose it altogether.
so far today I have made $7.21 on cam for 1.5 hours. Sm is dead.

I don’t know what to do at this point?

And and let me add that CB decides to ban me for asking 3 weeks ago if I was shadow banned! So there is that too.

I literally sat on SM once again for close to 3 hours with no traffic! I am just gonna get some serious mental health help now….because how can anyone stay sane after the daily silence ….no income that camming has become.

I've been feeling the same way for the past 2 months. I recently decided to switch some things up in regards to my profile. I've lowered my age, lowered my prices, changed my ethnicity, and have been less interactive until I'm in a show or received a decent amount of gold. I also don't really show my face much because I can't hide it when I'm annoyed or disappointed. Making these changes has really helped a lot. I really had to swallow my pride when it came to lowering my prices but I do make money faster because they stay longer.

On days that are totally non-interactive, I sit there with my thighs, hips, and chest in the fov with no face showing. I send 3 pre-made generic question and responses privately to whoever comes in. If they don't respond or continue to make unnecessary comments, they get banned.

I also have experimented many times with no face…and just cleavage and partial breasts and thighs…but it ddint make a difference. Have not lowered my rates…because I think they are reasonable and less than most already.
But when no one enters the room for long periods of time or just pops in and leaves right away…over and over…I get too upset and have to log off.

Its mostly just pop in and leave now. I don’t know if they look at rates and go…see me..and go yuk..and go or what. But it makes me feel bad.

How about even a simple hello? Especially when the model says hi to you and even types it in case you have no sound. And it’s just radio silence….yet they continue to sit in your room? Happens all the time.
Whats the point of even being logged in? Just watch anonymously …not logged in.

Prefacing this by saying I've in no way got this completely under control and my exasperation/frustration with members on bad days does sometimes get the better of me.

BUT

When I can, I always try to calm myself by reminding myself all the many reasons members can be acting the way they do:

- Browsing your profile for videos, totally uninterested in your live stream (I've had many a video customer do this)
- Clicked the link to your profile from some porn website on a whim/just out of curiosity and didnt even really intend to be on a cam site, so left
- don't have audio and/or haven't checked your message on chat
- have clicked onto your page, then got distracted (phone call, post man, relative, different web page, you name it)
- shy and too scared to talk (doesn't really excuse the not tipping but...)
- ...trying to gauge you first before making any decisions (I've found that a LOT of the best paying customers do this - they'll lurk for way longer than you're comfortable with to see how you interact with others, get a feel for your personality etc before they commit to spending their big bucks on you)

There are probably loads of other reasons too, and of course your reasoning that lots of them are just shitty people is also entirely valid lol.

Like I said, I feel you, I also struggle to rationalise the above when the anger takes me and I'm no stranger to the odd banning spree when the lurking pisses me off. But I try my best not to cos you never know who you're cutting yourself off from...

Yep same. The ones who I notice doing it over and over again, if I can be bothered, I'll add a little note to their account saying "freeloader" or something. Next time I add to the note "block next time" and after that they get blocked lol. Like a little 3 strike system to try and reign in my ADHD and stop me acting on impulse too much. I've 100% had "freeloader" and "block next time" accounts take me exclusive eventually though.

It's the repetitive flatterers who wind me up the most. The ones who are like your loyal number 1 fans always coming in to tell you how amazing you look etc but time after time never tip. I can let them slide when I'm in a good mood cos it gets me talking and looking friendly in front of other members, but if any of them catch me on a bad day, it's like swatting flies, so satisfying haha

How about the guys who ask you a bunch of questions about a show…you say yes you can do that and they just leave and don’t do the show. Seems anytime someone asks questions before a show they never do a show or never even say they change their mind they just go.

Well another dead day on SM. I literally have not a sole come in my room again.
and this is why I get discouraged and depressed.
2 hours trying and I can sit for up to 15 minutes with not a sole ?

This is probably not as noticable on token sites like Chaturbate but on SM and LiveJasmin for instance it's really noticeable. The visitor may want to look at photos or view the list of things the model is willing to do and end up sitting there in silence while they do so. Generally I like to engage and chat but because I'm a bit of a room hopper, I often end up chatting out of politeness then making my (very bad) excuses and leaving. I'm not sure that would make the OP feel any better than saying nothing in the first place

I only room hop when I'm not logged in. That way, the model doesn't get her hopes up/annoyed for no reason and the site will automatically kick me if I've stayed too long. If I'm logged in to my member account, I'm watching a specific model and I'm tipping her. That's how I'd want everyone to behave towards me, so it's how I behave towards others

I am so frustrated on cam I had to log off yet again in tears. Two hours into live cam and I made more selling a couple small videos than camming. And video sales didn’t cause me the mental torture live cam did.
I can’t feel good sitting in a dead room on SM. Then when people come in …the few that did couldn’t even talk or tip at all! Like live cam just seems impossible!

When some of those guys want you to "tell them about your show," I feel like some of them are mid-stroke...trying to get the model to give them some free dirty talk. hittThere really is no need to ask any more than a few questions before clicking that button to take the model private. Not every single private show will be exactly the same, and it's really not that hard to nicely tell a model what you're looking for.

It's not required for you to be a cam model in order to stay on the forum though. A lot of the people on here don't cam, or cam like a few hours per month. Many people on here sell videos and/or do sexting and/or phone sex. There's also cam site options where you don't have to sit in free chat at all, and you'd be earning money the moment a member starts live video chat with you (Cams Nude Chat...SkyPrivate...CamModelDirectory).

I will open a private window when I am just browsing. That shows up as anonymous/not logged in, even when the starting browser where I click on the open private window is logged in.
