After spending WAY too long last night trying to troubleshoot why suddenly I had no microphone on MFC, I came across this wacky issue.

After you do the "big" April update to your Windows 10 OS, it's possible that your microphone does not have permission to be used by some apps. In this case, my logitech c922 was the app, leaving me without any sound. Grr! Below are steps to fix this and/or ensure that your setting is proper:

1. Settings from your start menu

2. Privacy on the settings window

3. Microphone on that menu

4. Allow apps to access your microphone, turn it ON.

Below that it'll give you a list of apps that you can disallow/etc.

I hope that helps some of you! I ended up on cam an hour later than planned last night when all it should have taken was 4 clicks. :)

If anyone else has come across issues and fixes that are necessary for the big update, please feel free to add them here. Tutorials with screenshots are handy!

Always remember to be aware of personal info when screencapping your desktop and all that jazz. ;)

@Miss_Lollipop What is not working in many cam?
Is your camera not showing up in manycam? if so, does it show up in other apps like chrome?

or is many cam not showing up in chrome? if so, What about in firefox?

Based on what AmberCutie said.
Have you checked App Permission for Camera & Mic?

  1. Start Menu
  2. Settings
  3. Privacy
  4. Camera (left column)
  5. Camera access device should be ON
  6. Allow apps to access your Camera ON
  7. Under Which apps can access your Camera make sure logitech is ON
  8. Mic (left column)
  9. Mic access device should be ON
  10. Allow apps to access your Mic ON
  11. Under Which apps can access your Mic make sure logitech is ON
