xHamster asking for ridiculous things

I created my profile a month or so ago and kept it under the rug as I didn't yet upload any videos or photos in my gallery. I got verified and everything was just fine.
Yesterday I decided to launch my profile there and uploaded a short tease video, similar to what I started doing on pornhub a week or so ago, to drive traffic to my website and subscription pages. Now after posting the video, which was a really annoying process already, I have a private message from "xHamster" telling me:

Dear Creator,
For additional verification provide selfie(s) of the performer(s) starring in the video ******************
One of the following conditions must be met:
• An element of decor/furniture/background appearing in the video is also seen in the selfie
• In the selfie the performers are wearing one or more items of clothing that also appear in the video
• In the case of sending nude photos of the performers, distinctive body parts/marks/tattoos must be visible in the video.

If you find it difficult to meet one of the above mentioned requirements, please contact us on ***************************

Looking at the profile,.... The profile contains some dodgy titled videos. The posts on the profile seem legit though. There are tons of comments on it, but no answers to commenters. Fb page - Faphouse, twitter page - xHamster, Instagram page no longer exists, reddit - banned. A badge on the profile says reviewer but when clicking on it, it takes me to a blank page.



If this is legit then fair enough, I will definitely delete my profile because I am not about to get all dressed up to send verification selfies every time I upload something. If its a scam, then also fair enough, the profile will be blocked.
I didn't find much info online.

I guess this is there way with dealing with catfishes? Seems fucking bizarre. Idk this shouldnt be an issue if they are properly verifying models and approving content. No other site asks of this. Even pornhub.

I guess this what happens when your adult site business model was allow everyone and anyone to upload content (mostly stolen) for years. Literally trust no one.

Sounds like a scam, although I can't see why a scammer would want options 1 or 2? It seems sus to me that they would PM you instead of emailing in relation to important verification requirements?

This is legit, xhamster only allow verified members to upload content to prevent people from using other's content ,they also ask for all performers verification to make sure you really got their permission to publish the video on xhamster.

This reads like a scam, but if anything I would send support a message, through the contact information on the site, and not whatever is included in that message.

I am verified. They asked for aditional verification for the content I uploaded.

If the video you uploaded has another performer than you, they ask for verification for this performer too so just send them selfie or whatever verification document they ask for to verify the other performer. If you are performing solo in the video, it is obviously odd to ask you again for verification given that you has been already verified to be able to upload videos, in the second case contacting support is the best solution. If you do not mind can you share with us the profile link of the account that messaged you ? with a simple look I can tell if it is a scam account or a legit support staff account, you said that it has a badge that says reviewer, this is a sign that the profile is legit and is from Xhamster administration, but still would like to give it a look to confirm you if it is so or not.

Xhamster recently lost a court ruling for amateur content uploaded by people other than the person in the video (prior SO with no legal standing to upload and similar), so this is probably their crude first attempt to prevent that in the future. I am guessing the accounts doing the uploading were verified(in the lawsuits case) but that they did not actually verify all (any?) performers in the content, and this is their way of overdoing/overthinking it. The tatto part would seem to be an add-on to the faceless model verification that CB does sometimes on live streams to confirm the current performer is the verified one.

Porn site xHamster ordered to delete certain amateur videos

A judge ruled that the site must obtain proof of consent for all performers.

There seem to be a lot of other lawsuits against them, so they are attempting to (over)validate. I would probably not get near them until the process gets figured out.

in my case, it was solo videos. I'm a solo model. No reason to re-verify me, especially not with such dumb requirements such as same clothes or filming spot. I had long moved and changed my whole wardrobe since that vid was made.
Anyway, I deleted my profile off there cause I can't be fucked doing this every time I upload something.
