I'm not really calling us all sluts, but I kinda nicknamed my area my slut setup.

So I was wondering, how do you have your room, or area, set up?

I'm in the corner of the room, with an airmattress, and recently added, a folding chair with a bedsheet over it. Then I have two white shelves one holding the laptop, and one holding the lamp and webcam. Pics will come later of this clusterfuck, lol

What I've observed - not having a slut room of my own. :)

Several sorts seem to be common.

There is the stereotypical asian camgirl room - which has a off-screen fan, a large fabric print of some sort, and a bored looking manikin in the front.

Then you've got 'random room in the house' - kitchen, ...

And then you've got the properly dressed 'play' room - most of the top 20 use one of some sort.

Wander around ebay and your local market/second-hand-shops for inspiration.

Avoid too strongly coloured backdrops, they can screw with your skin tone.
Don't have flapping/moving backgrounds - they eat up bandwidth, and mean you may go blocky.

Tidying up some is always a good plan, as is checking health and safety - though falling over can be very funny. :)

...

Dig around in the attic to see if anything would work well.

MORE LIGHT! Doesn't have to be that expensive - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-500W-HALOGEN- ... 4153713be2 - bounced off the ceiling even.

Anything with fine detail in it simply won't be seen, unless the camera is very close to it.

You should put some of your persona into the decor. This can vary lots.
Kittens and soft-toys work for some, others have large arrays of various whips hung on the walls.

Look at the room you're thinking of using through the webcam for a bit, while thinking.

Random thoughts, while bored.

I have two commercial grade shop lights in either corner of my room, they're quite industrial looking and have to be taken down when guests come, but the whole set up only cost about $80 bucks at HomeDepot and then I threw pieces of pinky/orangy coloured fabric over them to help combat how bloody pale and ghoulish I look. They're flourescent and don't get hot, which is ideal, and their light is brilliant white and daylight-like to help brighten the room. They're light enough to mount on hooks in the ceiling for easy take down. They plug into regular residential grade power, although I'd recommend a power bar or something to protect from tripping your breakers (helpful hint: don't run two commercial grade lights, a blowdryer, a space heater, and a curling iron off of one plug in, it doesn't work lol)

Do you have any idea how much power that thing sucks, and how much heat it puts out? Not an ideal light source at all.

LMAO, Pyrite is correct.

I had one of those in my old apartment to light my loft- holy crap did it ever get hot- and it *still* wasn't enough light. I used a shoji screen to diffuse the light rather than have it pointed at me, then two more lamps off to the side.

are the heavy lamps how the girls keep a tan even in the winter? J/K

I think no matter what you setting is... a lot of guys like to see a little piece of you. So the less it looks like a "studio", the better. That's my opinion :)

I just cam from my bedroom. Some times I move to the bathtub or living room. Hopefully one day I will have a more private backyard and can even cam from there!

4-5 tokens an hour.
I'm probably not thinking about heating rationally, as mine is broken ATM. :)

That is 1000W of halogen lighting, stand in front of that for a few hours and you'll wish you spent a day in the sun...

So the electrical cost of the lighting is balanced by it doubling as a source of heat!?!

Dude, then I can keep the apartment cold like he wants it. while still having my room nice and toasty warm so I can stay nakkie longer!

:P

Wait, sun for a day? BURN BABY BURN! I burn in 15 mins... in the shade...
