Sounds like you got the answers you were looking for, but my two cents (or near half a token) worth - Of course, it depends on the tipper. My good (frequent and high) tippers have been pretty respectful and understanding, having built rapport and such. Usually. Either way, it's been about whether he's a reasonable person or not. If he's not, then all bets are off. Otherwise, a simple "Sorry, I'd rather not" is usually sufficient. My boundaries are tested (not by those good tippers, necessarily) are asking unseemly stuff about my family. And those reasonable ones will back down with a "don't worry about my daughter."
