Account was banned. My toddler was watching cartoons on the laptop and he turned on the cam software. Did not realize it until it was too late. What can I do to unban?

I'm sorry but I can't even imagine how this could happen. Sounds like a really long reach of an excuse.

Its really not. I let him watch cartoon on the laptop. I didn't dream for a second that he could turn on the cam. I am embarrassed that it even happened. It was not intentional at all.

So you gave your toddler access to a laptop that had all of your adult site logins/etc saved and able to simply be "clicked" by a child? Some lessons are learned the very hard way. Yikes.

A toddler navigated to chaturbate, selected a broadcasting method, and managed to input all the necessary information to begin streaming? Well if that is truly the case, I don't see how any site can safely allow you to be a performer on their platform. Your child is simply too wise. 🤔

Yes. A very painful embarrassing and humiliating lesson. He is not allowed on it anymore. Its is totally my fault for not staying right there with him when he was watching the cartoons.

I had everything minimized and opened a new browser for the cartoon. I'm not ever sure how he did it. If someone reviews the video I'm sure that they will see that this was not intentional. But it is clearly my fault for not staying right next to him. I'm sorry.

That's exactly why I reacted the way that I did. This kind of carelessness is a sign a person is not fit to be in the adult industry.

I had everything minimized and opened a new browser for the cartoon.
minimized? you were logged ON to chaturbate and handed your tiny child your laptop? without even logging off, let alone logging out of your own OS user account and into a child-safe one?

I especially stand by what Mollie said. You're not fit for this. Sorry not sorry.

It was a mistake. I didnt intend for any of this to happen. I was only trying to make the child happy before putting him to sleep and then go to the site to earn tokens. I feel completely foolish and I don't find fault in what your saying. I came here looking for help. I don't know how else to say im sorry and that this ever even happened.

I am sorry we are being so harsh and critical on you, but really this is a mistake that should have NEVER happened. There are certain precautions you have to be aware of, willing, and able to make when you step into this line of work. Your actions were careless and I am afraid I feel like the banning was very just in your case. As I said, some lessons are learned the very hard way, and this is a hard reality to face. I cannot imagine you getting your account back, this carelessness may not warrant a second chance.

I only have one laptop and we do use it for everyday thing too like watching cartoons together. I put on a privacy slide on the camera, put on a password to the laptop when it turns on. And you are right, as a mother it was totally my fault. Being harsh is the right thing and I don't hold any ill will towards anyone that has strong things to say. The moment I realized he had it on I turn it off. I can't even tell you just how horrible I feel. If anyone reviews the video they will see that it was just a child playing and nothing more. To everyone I'm ever so truly sorry. This will NEVER EVER happen again.

Accidents happen, sure. But this is one thing they are zero-zero-ZERO tolerance on. A child appeared and streamed on their porn website. Even if it was an accident, it is ILLEGAL in every way, and they could get in a lot of trouble for situations like this. This isn't a grey-area that they can really forgive, because it violates one of the biggest and most important laws of the US Porn Industry: 18. U.S.C. 2257, which basically states that all performers are above the age of 18. Even though it was an accident, your child streamed (and therefore performed) on their pornographic-website. That's one of the biggest rule violations that can happen, accidental or not, and could probably risk huge fines or even the shut-down of the entire site. Heck - separated parents could use that as an excuse to get a child taken away, and custody could be lost. THAT's how big of a deal this law (and any violation of it) is. Which means Chaturbate cannot afford to take that chance. Children don't belong anywhere near porn sites for any reason, both for the protection of the child and all of the models who perform on the site. Legally, I believe their hands are very much tied. No amount of apologies can give another chance for breaking a very, very, very big law that their entire website needs to obey in order to keep functioning.

And even if it were an accident, I think for the sake of the child, they would ban regardless. In your case, it happened because of a careless moment, but there are some very sick people out there who expose their children to predators for money. They could easily say it was an accident, get forgiven, and have the chance to do it all over again. Because there are bad people out there, even good people cannot be given extra chances, on the slight chance it could potentially put the child in danger. And Chaturbate cannot and will not risk that. I don't think it's wrong. I'd rather someone get banned because of an innocent accident and know the child is safe, than have all accidents forgiven and potentially let one child be put in a dangerous situation.

It was an accident and it sucks and I'm sorry. But a very big law was broken, and they can't really risk it happening twice.

I feel for you, but that's not one you're going to come back from with the same site. Pick a new site. Start over and implement some changes on how you handle your passwords and equipment. I don't remember what Chaturbate's login page looks like, but if your kid is that savvy, I'd just never have them use your laptop. So many ways that could go wrong.

A few years ago, my toddler managed to Tweet to Sophia Locke on my phone. I was pretty mortified. Deleted everything Jicky from my phone. She wasn't even allowed to have my phone in the first place. Not sure how she unlocked it or got to Twitter. Still feels kind of bad to think about, but at least I know that I made sure it didn't happen again. That's the best you can do once you screw up.

To put into perspective how seriously this mistaken is taken by the industry, sites and models in particular, a bit of OG context:

Years ago, a model on Streamate was actively advertising her toddler for sexual activity. This was caught not by site support, but my fellow models who, for the sake of the child who was being horrifically abused and the basics of common decency, documented and reported everything not just to the site, but to the authorities. We're talking FBI, police, everything. And Streamate did exactly the same, turning over all relevant information on the performer to the authorities and instantly banning this woman within an inch of existence. The child was pulled by protective services, thank fuck, and the mother arrested and charged. But none of that can erase my memory of comments made by the members who were in that room, egging this "mother" on, sexualizing this poor child, and being vile beyond the telling of it.

Not just because it was the right thing to do, but because that was the minimum reporting requirement for something like this least they be held legally liable.

There's a lot to unpack there, but the gist is this -- while what you're describing certainly doesn't rise to the level of the above piece of human garbage, it still exposed your child to people who actively had a hand on their genitals. Sit on that for a minute from an outside perspective. Best case scenario, no one did anything besides report it and GTFO. Worst case, someone did -- screenshots, recordings, and worse, to use for even-god-doesn't-want-to-know-what in the future.

Accident or not, fluke of technology or not, that level of mistake is the sort of epic fuck up that no site can risk. Even if you somehow did get your account back, and god knows I'd never want to touch anything to do with it again, the best case scenario is that some asshole shows up every so often to remind you of that time your kid was on your stream and makes a vile comment about it. This isn't a one time incident that goes away; the internet remembers.

Also, and by all means I am trying to freak you out a bit here, should anyone have personally identified you, it would've been grounds for child protective services to investigate your fitness as a mother and potentially take your child. Models have lost custody for camming in the same home as their children. CB could still report you, and may be required to by law. Like, that bad.

If I were you, I'd be nuking that entire persona before even considering a new site with some serious parental controls in place. At minimum. Because you're not getting that account back and, frankly, you shouldn't want to. Personally, I'd be taking a long, hard break from the online adult entertainment industry.

I don't think you really understand the impact here. It makes no difference if the child was just playing and it was an accident, the child appeared on a porn site.

Locking the laptop with a password is not enough. You should have made a completely separate login for when you aren't working if you can't use another laptop and had everything on your own profile locked so it cannot be viewed with the other profiles. Here is how to do it if you have windows 10: https://www.onmsft.com/how-to/create-multiple-windows-10-user-accounts-single-pc
and other operating systems usually have a way to create different users too.

The feds could shut down Chaturbate completely for this. You could have taken away not only your own income but others too.

Not to mention you could lose custody of your child. You still could.

btw, it's normally rather complicated to Open a browser, connect on your account, start the stream and so on.
So, just like any professional computer user, concerned by his security and the security of his customers and contributors, never let your account connected even for a fast BRB when anybody else is at home.

Or just never cam when not alone.

I just don't understand why you would keep those pages minimized. Why you would even think that's okay to do?! I have 3 kids and they have their own login for our pc but only able to use it when they are being supervised.

If you want to let them watch cartoons, buy a tablet. Anything but leaving them on something with all your cam software running. It was an extremely naive and stupid thing for you to do and I'm hoping you realise that. I also wonder how long it took you to realise the cam was on?

I'm sure this is gut wrenching accident for you but all the same, it's a huge huge deal, and if CB were to unban you for this, I would seriously reconsider my affiliation with them because I don't want to be anywhere adjacent to this.

Agreed with all, esp @MsVixen . Nuke your persona. Take a break. And then, if you decide to start again, have a much much MUCH better system in place.

Edited to add: Also, there are bots perpetually recording every stream. Google your cam name and see if that stream made it up to any of those pirate sites. I don't even know how to DCMA that with that kind of subjectmatter, but you should at least check to see if it's out there too.

Dude, it's time to start being responsible what you hand your child.

Take ownership of you stupid stupid fuck up. Because this isn't a mistake, this is a huge fuck up and incredibly negligent of you. I live with my husband and two dogs. I close all my streaming stuff when done, because I don't know who is gonna break into my house and steal my shit. I don't want them having access to any of my job or funds.

It's start acting my responsible, momma. You cannot expect people to forgive you and allow you back on when you could of gotten the whole site shut down. I don't really have sympathy, because the trickle effect of a child being on cam can be a FBI site nuke. That means every model on that site is out of a job. Also CPS isn't gonna by the excuse of letting your child have access to a computer where you were logged on and ready at anytime to stream. They will she that as negligence and poor judgement.

I don't care, I don't feel bad. This is what you get. Also no one here can unban you other than Chaturbate. So I don't know why you are begging us like we have some authority over the matter.

Wow.

To the OP and anyone who may take as cavalier an attitude toward absolutely locking down all access to their adult business, consider that "minimizing" your porn stream is much like tucking a loaded gun under a cushion. You wouldn't just pop a handgun under the couch seat so your kid can sit there to watch cartoons would you? The ripple effect of a child coming across either one is just as wide. (<-- Please stay out of independent sex work until the analogy in this paragraph fully sets in)

I am struggling to understand why you would be too pressed to wait until AFTER you were done setting your child down to bed and assured that you were in an appropriately guarded setup before getting your account logged in and ready to roll? A moment of hurry, a lifetime of worry.

Edited to add: Also, there are bots perpetually recording every stream. Google your cam name and see if that stream made it up to any of those pirate sites. I don't even know how to DCMA that with that kind of subjectmatter, but you should at least check to see if it's out there too.

This. Time to get as proactive about containing this aspect of the situation (your son's protection) as you've been about getting your account back. Not to mention that going back on the same account or even the same site is likely to attract a new, unwanted segment of clientele, made of those who recall or come to know that you'd once had a brief appearance by a child on your broadcast. The type that would be very intrigued with him. Due to that alone, I'd not want to be recognized in connection with anything that had been touched by this incident if I were you. Not the same name, the same site or even the same appearance.

You only had things minimized... surely that would mean the cam was still connected since you did not close it, you simply minimized it.
My brother and mother are both very not tech savvie but even they would realize to "logout" of anything before allowing anything like this. To ONLY minimize everything is just very bad practice.

edit:
Just to say, I just saw the other comments about bots maybe having recorded and uploaded that stream, in which case do as said and look: also because of this remove your name from the first post so any person who is fucked up can not try look for it themselves.

Not necessarily. You can disconnect your camera without leaving the broadcast page. I wouldn't recommend it, but you can.

As a mom to young kids this absolutely disgusts me. Speechless disgusting. Complete lack of common sense and brainpower on this one. Your lack of foresight put your kid on a PORN site. There’s tons of disgusting people who troll those sites and as a grown ass woman I can handle myself but would never allow my child to come into any type of adult oriented exposure. I use a separate computer set up in a separate locked floor, completely sound proofed and I don’t cam when they’re not fully watched by another adult.

You seriously should step away from considering camming in the future. You could take down one of the biggest cam sites because of this. You could lose custody because of this. CPS is gonna wonder why it was so damn easy to get a toddler on a porn site “by accident” so they’re going to look hard at what else you could have screwed up on. Camming and motherhood is a hard thing to navigate and you have to be smart. Put your kid’s best interest first. Ugh I’m just so grossed out by the negligence. As a kid who was abused myself from age 4 this is NOT ok

Just an FYI I don't know if it was ever fixed or not but in 2018 there were multiple reports that a model leaving the broadcast page open had their broadcast automatically start on its own.
I've also come across, Originally staying on the resolution setting page,
When I've combed my hair. And suddenly I saw,It has entered the live stream page.
Now,If I'm not ready, I'm not going to go to the website.

With OBS it's just one-click away from broadcasting, right? I could also see the "left window minimized" thing happening. Yeah you fucked up... I wouldn't unban you if I were chaturbate.

However I don't see "exposing your child on cam" as bad parenting. Just illegal and very stupid. What is bad parenting is to leave potentially pornographic images on the computer while they're using it

My suggestion is sign to other websites and create users in PC: one for him, one for you

Right.

And with OBS you don't have to be logged on your broadcast page to stream.
Launching the stream from OBS, or letting obs streaming will open your room or keep it opened without you in the chat.
