I'm normally following stuff like this quite closely, even if I live so far away because I think it has an effect on us all.. but with 2 weeks until my deadline for handing in my master thesis.. very little focus goes elsewhere.

I have not had time to follow it as closely as I once was. I've been following some lower profile cases, for my interest, and I'm always limited on time.
But that's hilarious.
I hope it's a Judge trial, because that's so unfair to ask jurors to sit through that without being able to burst out laughing!

So far the jury has been extremely stoic in keeping their reactions to a minimum. It's the witnesses who are being total shitbirds. I don't have anything better to do during the day so I keep a rolling feed of testimony going. Sammy "the Bull" Gravano has been brought up multiple times by the talking heads. "Yeah Sammy was a liar, a thief and mass murderer but he still got John Gotti put behind bars."

Speaking of, did you hear about the school that was letting kids go into school in furry gear?
ETA: Is it not common knowledge that furriers is a sexual thing or do we just spend to much time on the internet?
It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen in a criminal trial. Well heard. No one saw shit because no cameras, but yeah. So redirect happens tomorrow then everyone goes on holiday then deliberations begin after summations next week. This isn't even the most important trial, Georgia is. I have enjoyed the hypocrisy of the defense pinning its hopes on “Cohen is a bad guy and can’t be trusted,” given who the defendant is.
Suddenly they’re force to pretend that a guy’s integrity actually should matter.

Furries isn't automatically a sexual thing. I know a bunch of them in the real world, it's more of an offshoot of cosplay. It's just a bunch of people who like to dress up. And nothing pisses them off more then people assuming that it's a sex fetish (I blame that old episode of csi).
An old friend ofine still thinks the average furry is a middle aged white guy, despite me telling them that all the locals are 20 something girls and a couple of guys.

Yes I checked that already. None of the big English speaking countries, that I’m aware of, have Mothers Day today.
Maybe he thinks I’m from his country but I do primarily speak English in my room and make it abundantly clear I’m US … so it’s still a bit wtf?
ETA; oh I forgot France. I speak French too and there are a bunch of guys who think I’m lying and secretly in France. You’re right. I keep telling them I’m not French… I think some of them have the fantasy I’m there. Well that’s still cool. Although it’s annoying the French conspiracy theory actually carries this much weight, but whatever. Eli and the “French Connection” ? Theseguys are something else…
