the thing i'm worried about the most is someone digging this up when i'm a senior doctor.

will you even be recognizable as the young med student who did porn by then?

and what reason would anyone have to care that it was you? how extreme/perverted/evil/shameful were your shows? ...if you were just one more pretty girl on the internet enjoying herself, your content will probably never be seen again ... buried under 4-hour shifts of camming x 2,000 girls x several websites x 7 days a week. what will make your thumbnails leap out at a person?
there's probably nothing to worry about.

@humdrum I would disable the comments section if you're going to be making youtube videos, and I personally won't be making any unless I've the intention of outting myself as a camgirl on a non porn related site.

i'm not going to make a youtube channel, i think its definately too risky, thank you for your response. do you think i should delete any other social media?

my face was in the shot and i was fully naked and using a deoderant bottle, if you know what i mean. i feel embarrased even typing it, i cant imagine people seeing them. i feel like i was a completely different person.
thanks so much for your reply, you're really nice. do you know at this point how i might be able to find out if there are any of those videos somewhere. i've searched under my cam name but its just my thumbnail, which isnt explicit and doesnt show my face.
also i was worried about if i apply for jobs, could they somehow see that i have been paid by a cam site. on my statement it shows up as something that doesnt sound bad

really? she said she did 2 months. ...my first 3 days were up on the piracy sites by the end of my first week. Do some sites have protections against bots?
really, what sites did they find you/ what did you search?
does it come up under your cam name or something else?
i've searched my camname and variations a hundred times but am starting to be paranoid that i should stop searching my name

does everyone think i should just leave it all alone and move on or should i be trying to do more now to make sure things stay hidden.
also thanks so much everyone for your replies, they've really helped me cope.

a fan just told me a couple days later. I just had to search my username, they'd lifted the associated profile info (location/etc.) along with the stream (displaying like 20 thumbnails from it).

sounds hot, but not that uncommon (reminds me of a meme: a picture of a shop display of all kinds of hairbrushes with a sale sign that reads 'teen dildos' ... the cliche is everyone has tried all kinds of things to see what feels good before actually getting up the courage to invest in sex-toys). uncommon in camming, maybe, because most camsites 'terms and conditions' I've read have said 'you can only use sextoys, not repurpose household items', that's really the only downside.

I can think of one really hot pic I saw years ago where a chick is riding a deoderant thing and someone has found a picture of the whole bottle and opaquely matched it over her body to show depth and angle (makes it kinda intriguing). ...I went to google, and knowing exactly what I wanted to find and these keywords ('cause it can't be as common as normal dildos) I tried to find that picture ... and failed. So, what're the odds someone would find or accidentally run into yours?

one day you'll be a doctor and every day or so you'll be assuring someone 'it's nothing to be embarrassed about, we see this sort of thing all the time' about things much worse than a young woman having fun and looking good while doing it.

do you know at this point how i might be able to find out if there are any of those videos somewhere.
nope. but I guess the silver-lining to that is...it means other people will have just as little luck.

I know nothing about being a doctor, but I can't imagine why years down the road some hospital will have the right to ask for detailed bank statements of yours.
if you're that worried, open a new bank account with a new bank and start using that for your normal financial history so you can pretend the other one doesn't even exist.
(a job might want your bank account number and a stamped verification, but they have no reason to know how much money you have in how many accounts from who). I think you'd have to get audited for something like that.

Oh yeah it's very likely they will be uploaded somewhere, probably guaranteed if you're on a major cam site

I think the main thing that makes them not so much of a problem for OP is that they need to be found to be a problem, and to be found you need to know they exist and what to search for

If they are no longer camming, deleted profiles, the risks immediately drop

As long as OP wasn't incredibly uniquely hot and didn't do anything extremely unusual (both things that would make her video more likely to be shared), it's 99.9999% likely they will be buried under the avalanche of other capped videos and never see human eyes again

In the coming years I wouldn't be surprised if many of these capping sites no longer available anyway

In the coming years I would expect social attitudes to change around stuff like cam work and it no longer be so scandalous

In the coming years I wouldn't be surprised if many of these capping sites no longer available anyway

kinda hope one day we can approach it at something like a class action level (instead of thousands of models being on their site ignoring it or paying some company $10 each in hopes that their DMCA claim won't just be ignored and that one infringement will come down) and just strip them of everything they've stolen, stored it on, and everything they've earned from it.

@IsabellaSnow I thought MFC can use your content for advertising? As far as I understood the rules I read recently.

I may be wrong on this but I remember when I signed there was nothing that said they could use content or my image to advertise except if I won miss MFC in which I could choose to remain anonymous (but couldn't win first prize). I've never seen a myfreecams advert pop up like live jasmin or seen them using images of girls on their adverts who aren't top models or girls I think would agree to it. Sometimes you'll get the homepage being advertised in the background which I'm sure we're all at risk of having our avatar pic put up there.
A girl I met at one of the conventions just over a year ago who had been a relatively new model at the time and I think cams on MFC very little mentioned one of her reasons for no longer camming was that she believed MFC was recording and sharing her private shows. She told me to look up my model name, but I've done shed tons of private shows over the years and found nothing, nor have I ever had a private show posted publicly, which leads me to believe that she was just getting someone taking her private (or spying) who was capping and sharing her shows. I've heard similar rumours over the years about this but nothing that's ever sounded convincing. As far as I can tell there are so many career cam models who would jump to be used in advertisements for MFC I don't see why they'd use random girls who don't want it. I'm also pretty sure that the lack of advertisement is a reason why MFC gets lower traffic than other sites. I could be being totally naive, just saying, in 6 years I've never come across myself used in advertisement. I also don't see why they'd so clearly have the option of being anonymous in the miss MFC competition if they were then going to advertise us anyway.

I'm curious about this though, is there anyone who can clarify this? I looked up on the wiki and am trying to find the terms but I can't find anything on their advertising policy.

@IsabellaSnow doesn't the last sentence of 1. in the model contract sort of state their rights?

@humdrum I deleted my personal social media. I can't tell you what to do but I would certainly not have public photos of yourself/use your real name/have public accounts at least

My only experience with this was a model who noticed she was being recorded and was worried about it. She told me the site (we all know the name) and there were pages of her. Not much I could do about it and it is one of the main reasons I am at acf (aside from trying to figure out what I did wrong with a different model) cause I wanted to see what could be done about that site (me being a newbie white knight).

That was in 2015. Later, she quit the studio she was working with (I think she only used them for the profile), changed her name, got a new profile, and now all those pages have dwindled to 13 possible uploads (one page). And, it is mainly just the stuff she was doing when she would do a free show showing and doing everything in free chat that she does now in private (basically). Apparently I was never around to tip for that experience. And, it almost seems impossible to find her unless you know her exact name--crazy people might spend hours looking, but most normal guys will be thrown off the trail because they get bored and there are other boobies to distract them.

My tipping just to hang out with her is what got deleted (pages and pages of boring stuff), so, if you were boring then don't bank on it staying around, but certain naked stuff stayed and I kind of feel bad about missing out, but I ain't giving them my cc number to see what I missed. I don't need that worry.

To sum it all up. I doubt you have much to worry about.

@Influenced how much time had elapsed between when she stopped and when she was found out, if you know?

That was one of the major things she was upset about. She told me she had done it for only a very short time and it had been over 3 years, so she was very shocked to see that not only had someone found something but her boss had uncovered it. She went searching herself after that and did find the content uploaded by someone else on a site I will not mention by an anon uploader, it was one of her cam shows and it was only one, but it was like an hour and a half show. She said the show at that point was pretty old and she showed me a screenshot she took of it and in the image, it clearly showed how old the show was because she had a counter up and the date.

but her boss had uncovered it.

I'm still gonna go with the OP has nothing to worry about. Your work seems chatty...(I always keep my headphones in at my job). Nothing personal, but, unless 'uncovered' is explained possibly looking at tax documents, etc.), I just don't get it.

Sigh...Look, I just answered a question that was asked specifically at me, that is all. He uncovered it by finding it online if that clarifies anything for anyone, which I thought I made clear in the last post to the question that was posted towards me.(Do I know HOW he found it online? No, but like I said in the last post after she got word he found out about it, even she went looking and found it online!) I agree with all of you that I do not think the OP does not need to live in fear of anything regarding this and should not, I disagree with those of you that say it either cannot happen or that it is severely or completely unlikely, I suppose we will just have to agree to disagree and move on from it, I respect your opinions but that doesn't mean I am going to change mine, especially since I have seen it happen first hand. :)

Weird, I've just had a look up of the release form on MFC and it does revoke the rights. But when I signed up nearly 7 years ago I looked through everything I signed and got it checked with a lawyer to see if there was anything like that and couldn't find a thing. So maybe me and my lawyer missed something, didn't sign that particular form or they have changed it since I started. This might make sense on why newer models have complained about shows being released etc but I have had no issues. It isn't completely far fetched that they've made new model agreements seeing as the rules have changed etc. But surely if that were the case they would have made me sign the new terms.
Anyway, I've never had any issue so I would guess they're just covering their backs. I do always think it's a bit dodge when a camsite says that they can sell your shows for as long as they like without paying you, because technically they didn't pay you for it. The member paid for it and the site has already received their cut. Then again I also think it's ridiculous how mobile phone apps ask for so much irrelevant information and access to your phone, and people sign ok because they want the app and have no other choice, not really thinking about what they might be giving them. So I guess camsites can ask for lots because they know girls will sign it.

Worked with a girl for about 6 months, the district head of our department did thorough searches of all employee's, not just when you are hired but also random check I am not sure how their exact process is, I do know that she was fired after 6 months, after discovering she used to model for a cam site.

So they did a check, found nothing, hired her, then after 6 months they found she worked on a camsite?

What did they do differently after the 6 month period?

What sort of job was it that having performed on a cam site, it would be inappropriate for her to work there?

How the district head found out about this stuff with her past in camming we never found out, we tried to find what he said and we couldn't, she said she only did it for about 4 months and then quit.

Why did he tell the rest of the staff?!

The only reason we know for a fact that is what she was fired for is because later on the district head was arrested for some other non related content found on his computer at work (he was stealing from the company, I have no problems saying that in this post after what he did) and among these things were things related to her and her time camming, dating back to the time she was fired.

So the police took his computer then told you all "hey staff, Police investigator here, we found your boss had been stealing and also something about a girl who used to work here being on a cam site hehe"

...Or did some other boss tell you all? and if they did, please refer to my above question but directed at at that person, why did they tell the rest of the staff?!

This whole story is just.. :wacky:

Okay I'll just take these one by one here on your questions MFCGod.

1st One: So they did a check...etc Answer: Yes they did their first check as they do for all employee's before they hired her and found nothing and yes they did hire her. After six months they did find out she worked on a camsite in her past yes.

2nd One: What did they do differently..etc Answer: If you would have read my entire post you would have seen that I have already stated I have no clue how they do their checks or hers in particular, everyone assumed, I would wager that they were just your general record checks etc but obviously it turned out to be more than that since (as stated later in my other post or the same first one) I do not think you would normally find out about someone camming running a routine record check, but I honestly do not know if they found it through whatever system they were using or not, I am not discounting it but it is unlikely in a record check.

3rd One: What sort of job was it..etc Answer: It was a job where you get paid. I am not going to post that info in this forum. As far as their policies, if you would have read the post (I mean seriously) I said they said they didn't fire her for the camming reason in order to cover themselves because that would have been grounds for a lawsuit, they made something else up. However as I stated there was talk all around the job about the fact she was fired for something in her past that was "sex" related and then not to long after she tried to sue the company because she believed that was the reason she was fired as well and took them to court and lost. I am not going to give out her personal details or everything she experienced down to the thumbnail though. She had reason to believe she was being fired for the work she did camming, she came to that conclusion because she knew people in the office that were telling her this, coming down through other managers down to the other employees and she confronted them about it, she then got a lawyer and the rest of that is her business, but I know she lost because she had no way to prove she was fired for that reason, per her telling myself and others in the job the outcome of it all and why she lost, no evidence of such. No one from the job that had any real evidence would help her, she had plenty of us to call on for hearsay but that was all she had.

4th One: Why did he tell the rest of the staff?! Answer: Really? I have no clue why he would tell certain members of the staff, managers etc or exactly who he even told it's not like he made an announcement over the intercom...Your guess is as good as mine. To embarrass her? To humiliate her? because he knew it would get back to her and he knew she couldn't prove anything? Again I do not have that answer.

5th One: So the police took his computer etc... Answer: All we were told was that our district manager was fired for stealing from the company and that there was an ongoing investigation, other things were confiscated as well during the jobs investigation and other things happened as a result of him stealing,(not going into the entire investigation) one of the first things that was found out, because corporate had to get involved directly with all of this again, was that they lied about why they fired her because of a file that he really should not of kept about her camming, employee file, because they said they fired her for something else, which if you are going to say you fired someone for something you didn't fire them for, then you better not have the file laying around your office for someone to find with the real reason, handed down from higher up about the real reason she was fired, her "sex" work aka camming. Do I know exactly word for word what the file said, of course not. How do I know for a fact that is in fact why she was fired? Because the person that took over for the guy that got busted for stealing did tell many people about this file and many of us made many attempts to get in touch with her so she could take the company back to court and win because now she would have real proof. Again she left the state and she started over way before this. She left none of us (friends from the job) any of her new information. The new manager that took over did make that part of her file available to us and said he didn't care if he got fired for it, what the company did was wrong he sad and if any of us could get that information to her so she could take them to court to get Justice, he was there to help, something he didn't have to do.

You obviously did a pick and choose and did not read all my posts associated with this @MFCGod. Some of your questions were already answered in the posts themselves. Maybe not to your liking or sufficient detail, but most of these I cannot tell you why bosses did what they did, or didn't do what they were supposed to, or speculate on how they found out what they did. She knew for a fact that is why they fired her because information was passed down through the ranks because other people besides him that held the same or higher positions had access to her info and knew the real reason she was fired and let it leak out down the chain. Because they wanted her to get Justice? IDK! Because they wanted to humiliate her? IDK! Point is she took action and lost and she found her own content online that was years old on her own through simple searches. There are many ways, them finding out could have come about. Some of which I mentioned. He could have had some attraction to her and been stalking her and just come across it the way she searched it herself and found it so easily, it could have been some in depth company search they do that I am not aware of that came up with the information. Fact is when she is told by management that doesn't agree with company policy that you were fired for your "camming related affairs" but are not willing to testify in court about it "and yes it was found out through online sources" then there wasn't anything else she could have done. She did everything she could and moved on when it didn't work.

As far as your saying the story is wacky, that is your opinion. I answered your questions for the sake of the forum, not to validate the story to you specifically. This is as much detail as I am going to go into with this though. It is more than plenty! The fact is it can happen and it does happen and anyone in my opinion that thinks it is severely unlikely or whatever word you want to put before unlikely is someone I do not agree with. It's as simple as that, personal experience with it with a past good friend and seeing it first hand are my reasons. It is nothing personal! I respect everyone's opinion on this forum (I have even apologized when I have been dead doornail WRONG) unless they are just looking to troll me! I read stuff on here all the time I do not believe @MFCGod sometimes I say something, sometimes I do not. I cannot control whether you think a story is wacky or not nor anyone else but I respect your opinion on it, even if you think I am full of shit.

I take these types of things very seriously and I feel very bad for this old friend I once had and I shared this experience with the community. I feel bad for anyone facing this type of judgement, hardship, ridicule and harassment. It's Sick!

The fact is it can happen and it does happen and anyone in my opinion that thinks it is severely unlikely or whatever word you want to put before unlikely is someone I do not agree with.]

Usually I would guess it's most common to happen either of these of two ways

When someone you know sees you camming live

When you have someone you don't know who sees you live and decides to "stalk" you and actively search for your personal information and finds it.

^ Both of those are for active models, obviously OP is not an active mode

The bigger the site you're on + more time you spend online + the more popular you are + how careful/knowledgeable you are about protecting your identity = the likelihood of the above happening

Since OP has already quit and deleted her profiles + with her description of her camming career, I will again say the likelihood of someone she knows randomly coming across her videos it's extremely extremely negligible

Now in your (sorry but unreliable) story it did happen but people getting struck by lightning happens too and we don't all stay at home or walk around in Faraday cages

If someone posted here "I'm worried about lighting" would you post "you should be! people get struck by lightning! I know someone!"

I do believed you shared the story to be helpful and that's to be commended, but to me, it was misguided .

I do believed you shared the story to be helpful

Now in your (sorry but unreliable) story it
Really? You really have no leg to stand on with the unreliable part, just fact.

it was misguided .

Misguided in that you do not agree with me, okay, because otherwise it is hardly misguided to share one's experience with the community. That is what we all participate in the forum for to begin with. :)

When you have someone you don't know who sees you live and decides to "stalk" you and actively search for your personal information and finds it.

This is what I mean by naive, he worked with the girl and a bunch of us thought he had the hots for her already anyways for months, so it isn't that hard to make a jump that he was stalking her social media and somehow came across this, through that or some other source. He was a creepy person to begin with. Again these are my opinions but I mean get real you do not need to be an active model for someone to be stalking you and coming across this information. There are sicko's on MFC that have posted private shows to porn sites of models that haven't been on the site for eight years @MFCGod and they are still up. It's disgusting.

kinda hope one day we can approach it at something like a class action level (instead of thousands of models being on their site ignoring it or paying some company $10 each in hopes that their DMCA claim won't just be ignored and that one infringement will come down) and just strip them of everything they've stolen, stored it on, and everything they've earned from it.

I actually briefly presented this idea (class action against cam piracy) in a pre-consult with a well-reputed law firm that specializes in revenge porn, and found that they were working with a number of other cam models and porn performers with similar issues.

The consultation fee was $350 I believe, and I wasn't certain of what the fees would
be _after_ that, so I didn't pursue it...but thought that other models might be interested in crowdfunding the fees for a potential class-action?

(I mainly mention this to suggest that it seems plausible, and in the near future too,
but if anyone wants more info, or to pursue it, I'm happy to PM or make a separate post.)

Dude, I wasn't attacking or anything. I was just curious about how investigations and uncovering happen. I have no clue. I am learning. Sorry to make you sigh, though it is interesting to see it fleshed out a bit (even for the concerned op--we all learn a little bit). I know shit can go horribly wrong sometimes.

For future reference, it's not a good idea for cam models to discuss on a public forum the name of websites their pirated stuff is on. You're telling readers on here (including the lurkers who never post here) where to go to find that free fap material. Every once in a while, we get people on here posting panicky "Help! Someone posted my video on _____!" threads, and they're actually putting the name of the website and everything. Don't do that.

If cam models wish to give each other a heads up about such and such site (full of pirated vids), it's best to do it either in the Models Only section, or through a private one-on-one message on here.

First of all, you DON'T look on cam like you do in real life. Its different light, you are naked or semi-naked and probably sexy makeup/hair. So I doubt someone would actually recognize you in real life.
Second, on the internet it's your cam name, not real name, so I dont see how someone would even make a connection. I think you're just stressed out about something that is not a real problem. You should just focus on the med school and the future. good luck!

For the first 20 years on the internet I used my real name everywhere, participated in every sort of forum (forum? what's that? We have FaceBag now) and even that is long gone. Once on the internet and forever - a morality tale more than a data proof.

As long as OP wasn't incredibly uniquely hot and didn't do anything extremely unusual (both things that would make her video more likely to be shared), it's 99.9999% likely they will be buried under the avalanche of other capped videos and never see human eyes again

Those few who did something extraordinary are still found. News reporter having sex in the van, check. Dancing baby that was all the rage and featured on the hit new show Ally McBeal? A third generation gif of it on a site collecting old memes is all that's left.

Plenty of women have appeared in Playboy in roles from centerfold to representing their campus and gone on to have full professional lives: that actually is archived and resold daily. Still in that 99.9999% clear.

Go on and have a happy life, think of this when you're a little bored during sex and need a spark.

It's Sick!

Was she able to get another job?

Was she able to get another job?

As stated in my OP she moved out of the state and started over @Guy she left no one her new information, she told a few of us that the incident affected her so much she felt she needed to just cut all ties and start over completely. So, I have no clue whether she got another job or not. I would assume she did get another well paying job as she was very talented and skilled however. Anything after the fact of her leaving the state and cutting all ties to the people she knew, on my end though, would be pure speculation.
