Hi

I did some camming a few years ago for about one year. I only ever did ONE public show on a mainstream cam site but I decided it wasn't for me because I didn't like that I was being watched by many people at the same time.

So I found MyGirlFund which I liked because I could arrange cam shows ahead of time and do it privately. I only showed my face naked on cam if they paid $6 per minute, otherwise I kept my face hidden. I probably did around 100 private shows altogether. I actually really enjoyed it and I made some decent money.

However, now I'm a little bit older and I no longer cam, I look back at that period of my life and see how naive I was to potential privacy risks and the possibility of being recorded. I fully realise now that I should never have got into camming in the first place if I was worried about being recorded and exposed, but there is nothing I can do about it now.

I have google searched my MGF name thousands of times and have never found anything of me, but I still have a constant worry that there are videos out there that I have no idea about - someone could have uploaded webcam recordings of me without mentioning my MGF name, in which case I have very little chance of finding it.

In your opinion - how likely is it given my specific circumstances that there would be an identifiable video of me out there that someone I know could stumble across one day? Should I expect and prepare for it to happen to me one day in the future, or is it unlikely seeing as I stopped camming around 2 years ago and nothing has happened?

I am driving myself crazy and losing sleep over this because I would be very humiliated if my camshows were seen by anyone from my real life. Any advice on how to accept this and move on?

Thank you

Super helpful. Anyway...

OP, if you can't find it, it seems unlikely that anyone else would. Not impossible, but unlikely enough that I would recommend chilling out about it. I hope your username here is unrelated, simply because that would ping the google. But if it has been years and no one has accidentally found you yet, you are probably effectively buried unless someone has a reason to dig you up and a tip to run with. Especially if you only cammed on a private-based site like mgf. I can't say it is impossible, but I think it seems highly unlikely that you'd be found.

I would still prepare mentally incase if you do get outed. Since you haven't been able to find anything is a good sign you probably won't. If it is causing you stress and anxeity, it might help to speak to a counselor to help cope and have a safe space to express your fears. LGBT friendly folks are more likely sexwork friendly and won't shame or guit you.

Hugs, so many hugs. Go enjoy the rest of your weekend before the holiday. :h:

Even if someone DOES stumble upon it, can you tell us why exactly you're worried? Because I promise, it isn't a life ruiner.

If you work with children or something like that, I could understand, but if you're not, there really is no reason to be losing sleep over it. I work vanilla jobs and have a degree and despite everyone in my life finding out about it, from my professors, to my family, to my employers, my life has never been ruined by it.

Should you prepare for people finding out? Yes.

Should you freak out over it? No.

Porn is so over saturated that the chances of anyone finding anything are slim to none. It's going to be okay. I promise.

Always be prepared for the worst case scenario, but don't let it run your life.

So much stuff is capped and pirated, that things get buried. I would assume if yours is from a while ago, if it even exists, that it is buried pretty far down as well.
