I would wager a guess that most models quit on any site fairly quickly.

Most either don't realize it's going to be work or thought they would make more and decide it's not worth it.

91% of new models quit within 6 months of joining and I think that number could be lower if there was more traffic per room.

This is a sexwork thing. The high emotional and physical demanding work makes it hard for most to last in any branch. Porn, camming, clips. I've noticed most models and performers don't last after two years after they get through the 6-month hump. This is an industry where it's expected that you aren't going to last long in due to its nature.

And this isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are a lot of jobs that require special people to do that not everyone can handle.

And the estimated percentage of new models quitting on Streamate within the first month is around 85%.

It’s been common knowledge (at least among models) that most models don’t last 6 months, ever since I can remember and I’m basically a senior citizen in cam land these days lol.
Can you even imagine if even 50% of models didn’t quit within the first year? Oh gosh... you think the market is over saturated now. Please... keep quitting girls haha!
Jk but srsly

OK so perhaps updating the site to get more new members might not help with the high model turnover, but can't we agree that some design changes to the site could make sense? Like to access My account I can both click on the link that says my account in the right hand menu but I can also click my name in the green field at the top of the site a few inches away, perhaps that could be changed? Talking about the green field why do we have this massive green field with nothing in it? They could surely put the MFC Mail there, but instead of typing it out just make it an envelope icon with a number that show how many unread messages there is. Why not put the news feed in the massive green field so we can easily read the latest new, there sure is enough space for it? Personal options why not just stick that somewhere in the my account menu it is not something that most people need s access to several times a day every day? Archives and history could also go under my account. Then we have most popular rooms, trending rooms, model explorer, tags and topics this could probably be integrated with the combine panel at the bottom right hand corner in such a way that it makes sense. The link for Miss MyFreeCams could be made more visible in the top banner where they already showcase previous Miss MFC crown recipients.

I understand that some people like the icon hyperlink aesthetic that MFC have and they can keep that, but we ought to at least have menus that makes the user experience better.

I've come to appreciate the function over style. A lot of the web looks like mobile casino games with crap popping up all the time.

MFC may be boring, green and Web 1.9. Genius designers put years into Windows 10. Is it a better interface?
Old isn't bad because it's old, and new isn't better because it's new. Old has the attribute of having proven to work; new needs to prove to be better. Otherwise it's just for the sake of being the new shiny.

It actually is a bad site, on a technical level. It's 2019 and they still expect people to use Flash for the "best experience."

To be fair to them, it's not an easy change (they literally have to rebuild everything under the hood from scratch). The only real criticism that is valid about this IMHO is that they took way too long to realise they need to work on improvements (HD/removing flash) and now they are working against a very tight deadline.

Because they are dumb dumbs and don't realize that Flash is dead/dying right? They're definitely not working on fixing that as soon as they're comfortably able to. No way.

Is this guy trying to troll for another site?
I go to a site to look at women. I couldn't care less about palm trees or the other bullshit.
Models might use MFC because it's higher profile (exposure), higher model payouts or better support than others. That's the model's choice.
I don't see threads on here about MFC accounts banned for no reason, like other sites are.
:wondering:

function over style.

I am with this 100% -- but I also like pockets on my dresses, even if they make my hips look bigger...becouse they are functional!!!

I also greatly appreciate that (unlike most sites) MFC takes there time with changes to make sure they are not just making changes for the sake of change...but because its wanted warranted, and beneficial. They allow some models to test features as well, and I really respect that they value our impute.

So personally, I think it's worth the wait for the changes because they are often smoother and based on the lack of backlash that MFC gets compared to many other sites when a change or addition is made...I think many would agree with me.

I feel like the only person who’s never really thought mfc looked that bad... lol.
It’s very straight forward and easy to use and navigate. It’s layout is similar to a newspaper and every time they add new features it doesn’t change the basic functionality of the site and navigation.
You aren't the only person that thinks that. While I only have CB to compare with as I only have accounts on two sites, I find the MFC layout much easier to get along with.

The "90's website" vibe is also appealing for older people who probably aren't very used to bright, graphic UI interfaces - and also I think it adds to the "dark web" aspect of a porn site. Like Clips4Sale for example. That site looks like a butt in comparison to any other visually heavy site - BUT because it looks so underground it really helps the image for hardcore fetish and the other weird types of clips that succeed there. Cam Sites totally I think use this type of marketing too - it looks "bad" but it also sells the idea that its a naughty community for naughty hidden things, you know what I mean?

MVLive is also a great example of the opposing argument to this. MV is technically very beautiful - but the MV community is largely other models communicating with each other. MV live traffic is super tiny compared to any other cam community - and at least from my experience MV members that buy my videos or send me messages are never over the ago of 50. Older viewers who are used to going to grimey porn sites are probably turned off by all the flashy extras

MFC, Clips4Sale, and Niteflirt all have something in common: A heavy user base who's been there since the beginning and doesn't want to move on to a new platform because they're comfortable where they are and don't like change. If any of those sites were to do a big appearance overhaul and bring their looks into this decade, the long-standing customers wouldn't know what to do with themselves. Especially the older fellas, anyone with a living grandpa knows how well they handle technology updates.

I think it really boils down to one simple factor, regardless of which site it is: people are there to get their jollies off, they are not taking notice of the actual website too much other than where are the models - and where is the buy tokens/tip options.

I'm waiting for someone to mention Jerry Lewis.

...oh, I guess it's me.

I looked at bongacams and I don't see a huge improvement. In fact by comparison with mfc it is overly busy in the cam-rooms. The home page is similar to mfc's - and to other cam sites I've seen. They all feature a wall of postage-stamp sized windows arranged in rows and columns. Each window has an avatar or still or moving image - and there is total lack of design/color coordination between them, because that would be impossible - not to mention that they are each competing for eyeballs. So, there's just no way to make a cam site with aesthetically pleasing front page. If you know of one, please post a link.

I had a French teacher (boomer), she had a weird acid sense of humor haha her classes were all about to laugh or get offended. She was really "rude" to us, she said is because is French but well... the Internet is not only FRENCH. We might take care whenever speaking on a worldwide site.

I dated a French man for just over two years (Canadian French) but he forever changed my sense of humor. Him, his roommate and his cousin would laugh over the most awful things and I would just sit there like "ruddddeeeee" at first.

Then I met his family and some friends while in Quebec and realized they were all like that.

By the end of the relationship I was laughing at the same awful shit. He's one of my best friends now and pretty much everytime he texts me an article or a picture or something I know I'm going to cry laughing and probably feel guilty for laughing.

I really think it could be a cultural thing. I can't speak for every French person obviously but every single one I've ever got to know had a very "rude" sense of humor. Often at their own expense too.

I think my ex is a special case of "rude" but everyone he knew was pretty similar but toned down.

OMG I’m French Canadian and people always think I’m rude. I read the post from the guy and didn’t understand why people called him rude. It’s true the site design is outdated and it’s just a very direct way of saying it.

People also need to pay attention when we actually bother to say « sorry English isn’t my first langage. » some things translate from our langage to yours and the gentleness of it all maybe gets lost in between. If you translated word for word what we say back to French no one would call you rude because it’s just not rude in our langage and culture...

The internet isn’t only French but maybe you should appreciate someone making the effort of speaking a second langage in order to be able to communicate with you? How many langages do you speak champ?

I definitely agree with that. I don’t want to loose my grandpas cause they get too overwhelmed! Slow and steady! Changing a little thing at a time is good. I never thought the site looked good but it never bothered me that much. Would just be nice if people could do privates from their phones or tablet.

Do not take it personal Amber :) he is not rude .... he is only tipical french costumer :))))) and as a 99 % of french alawys have something to complain or not being happy about :))) , same as italians :)
But never think it's mean.
We don't like it so much.
Its just a way to train ourself for revolutions. ;)

So guys and girls

The french , the italians and roumanians in particular when they speak they are very acid and rude but thats because is part of their culture not because they want necesary offend you .

For example a italian or a french and roumanians would scream to a woman at the street wooooo what a fucking ass , or woooo you have good watermelons ( refering too boobs) or whatever you can imagine , and you will see the women simply going and not even take a look or pretending to not hear it. Why ? because as a man is normal to do so but as a woman is very rude to react. If as woman you react you are considered being a slut or that you like what he said and you like him but you pretend that you do not , so he contine offending you as a part of his atraction :))))) . Same apply between friends and close friends, they would call themselves a faggot , a shit , a dickhead , a broke ass , a pussy , a gay and so on and on and make bad jockes one about each other , but in the same time they sit at the same table and laugh their ass out. the tonality is the only thing that makes the diffrence between an offence and a jocke.

Portuguese and spanish ar in almoast the same pot but they are more selective. Spanish allow such behaviour only to close very close friends , and portuguese ony to the best friends :)

German and swiss and english people they totally not allow such and behaviour and language and consider it highly shitty. Rarelly you see one of them laugh at bad jockes , and those that do is because they worked too much with the groups of french , italians , roumanians and so on :)))))

I agree with most of what you say but I disagree with the French yelling on the streets about boobs and ass. I wouldn’t ignore it and they would also not be able to ignore my fist landing on their face. I don’t know about the Italians and Romanians though I’ve never been there.
