So I was wondering about framerates for both camming and for offline videos.

Which do you generally stick to? Is it worth camming at 60fps if you have the internet speeds for it or does it tend to look "Too real" and notice 24fps looks nicer?

For videos you upload or sell, do you stick to film framerates at 24 or 60? I just invested in a camera for both videos and taking photos, and was wondering what to stick with. Thanks!

Idk about live camming, I think SM caps my framerate off at 30 automatically unless things have changed or I am mistaken. I use SM Connect w a Logitech Brio.
For clips 60fps is worth it for me, I notice the same clip at 30fps, and 60fps, looks a lot better (to me) clearer and sharper at 60fps.

For videos I think 30 is pretty standard, but go 60 for that extra crisp look.

For camming, 30 does just fine and puts less stress on all the parts involved.

I cam in 60fps and have shot most of my videos in 60. I would say try it out, and see what response you get. For me it has only been positive. It's also a nice way to set yourself apart from other models as there is a different feel to higher framerate videos.

The "too real" thing is only really a issue in film, simply because we are use to film being "cinematic" and far away from reality. Having a more real feel can have the opposite effect and make your audience feel closer to you.

I asgree, i've never seen anyone say this about 60fps porn.

if you have too much movement then lower fps can get blurry, so you should try higher fps. Also, if you want slow motion in your videos then again you should use high fps.

But for streaming you can go with 30fps or so.

If you dont move very fast or film in slow motion, you dont need 60 fps for filming.
It takes too much time for rendering and file size will be big. And human eye can't catch 60 fps, so quality doesn't improve for normal speed action. 24 - 30 fps are good.

24fps is too low. 720-1080p @30fps is fine but 60fps can be worth it if you have the webcam, encoding power and internet connection to support it. My own webcam only does 30fps at 1080p so I have no choice. With porn videos 60fps still isn't super popluar, IMO, so it feels strange to me watching the few I find at that fps but I really like the way webcam streams look at 60fps.

24.9 is the EU standard and 30 is US. If you stream, the quality will be downgraded anyway. If you record videos for download the human eye can hardly distinguish between the two in videos. The difference is that the 60 fps video is larger and more taxing for downloaders...

Maybe for traditional content like film where it's mostly 24fps, but with the switch to digital there is no real standard anymore. Tv is shot at 24/25/30 all the time. Online content is anywhere from 24-60. Nothing about streaming downgrades the "quality" of frame rates and the human eye can easily distinguish between different framerates.

I can imagine that if you're watching streams on an old little laptop with a 720p screen or a smartphone or anything like this, it might not make a big difference. But especially as someone who prefers private shows, high video quality is a very important factor for me, because it gives a much more lively experience with the model. And 1080p 60 fps with a good bitrate gives a very lively experience. With a good and large screen, you can see a very big difference compared to 1080p 24/30 fps with possibly a lower bit rate. And I don't even look for models streaming at 720p or less, I just filter the search function for HD+

This is absolutely untrue, for the equipment which I am using. Unless I'm really an alien (that was a joke btw since you used the term "the human eye"), there is a huge visual difference between the same video at 30fps, and 60fps. The difference is astounding, and I personally way prefer FULL HD 60fps.

However, if there was a porn model I was really into, and they could only offer 30fps due to equipment and financial limitations, it would not be a deal-breaker for me. I would just suck it up and deal with it, because I liked that specific model for whatever personal reasons.
