About a week ago I was on a search for a decent paying work from home job, there are none as I'm sure you all know. That is unless you want to sit in front of your computer for hours on end taking surveys and maybe, just maybe you'll be lucky enough to have earned $5. Then I thought of web cam modeling. :)

I began looking into various sites and I noticed MFC was mentioned in a blog, so I made my way over. I've basically been stalking MFC, watching many girls, trying to get an idea of how it all works.

Now after hours of watching I noticed one thing, none of these girls have stretch marks...or not at least of any that I can tell.

I'm 22, I have a toddler, and pregnancy wasn't very kind to me. My stretch marks are faded/silver now, but they're still fairly visible. Aside from my stomach and my boobs no longer sitting right below my chin, my body is in pretty good shape (I'm 5'7" and 135-140). I'm still giving this all thought as well as hitting the gym a little harder in the mean time, but do you think that my stretch marks would be a major problem? I don't know if it's a requirement to be damn near flawless. ;)

I've also been reading that a model should only do what makes her feel comfortable. I'm comfortable with blow jobs. I know I can't have a male on camera with me, but I was thinking about investing in an ejaculating dildo. I really do not like the idea of using toys on myself, I don't in my own time. I absolutely hate the idea of inserting anything inside of me other than an actual penis. Another kicker, I do not plan on removing my panties. I know, I full of boring rules and this was one limit my husband requested. The idea of me blowing a dildo on camera, being topless, touching myself over my underwear, and so on doesn't bother him in the least, it's just actually showing myself that he has asked me not to do.

I'm beginning to ramble, but I just wanted some opinions. I know my limiting myself I will be limiting tips, tokens, and viewers, but I figured it would be worth a shot.

Thanks! :-D

It's always worth a shot! It can't hurt you to try MFC. If you feel like you're not making enough money there for the time / effort you put in, you can still quit it.
There are lots of girls who don't even take their bra off on cam, let alone their panties, and some of them do really well.

I think it is definitely possible for you to cam and do a good job with the limits you've put in place for yourself.

However, it is always wise to be realistic.

There are some models on MFC who make $50k a month. Many new models look around, see how much other models are making, and say "I should be able to make at least $100 or $200 an hour because I'm so pretty (or whatever)." But that is definitely not how MFC works.

It's a job, just like any other job. To be successful you have to put a lot of hours in and work hard. You will start slow, and you may increase your earnings to a certain level, or you may not. Some models have been earning the same average hourly rate for 3 years without it increasing. Some models make an account and find that they are a top model in 3 months.

You should definitely be able to make at least minimum wage, and hopefully two or three times that. However, I agree that limiting yourself with no penetration and no full nudity will probably limit your initial earnings until you can build up a fan base.

I have stretch marks, not from pregnancy or anything, but from growing fast when I was younger. I have stretch marks all over the place, and cellulite and chubba and all things most real women have! So don't worry about it! get a decent camera and nice lighting, which'll be more flattering, but we're real girls and that's what's nice I think!

Good luck! x

I have stretch marks on my ass...lol.

And no, I don't think stretch marks will be a problem. As far as I know, most guys who are already loving you/your room aren't going to leave just because of some stretch marks. In fact, you'll probably get some guys telling you that the stretch marks are sexy...lol.

One guy even told me that he thinks my stretch marks give my butt character (or did he say 'pizzazz'?).

Actually, what make any cam girl nice and desired is her smile... Most of the models are so boring and cheerless, they forget that the guests come to ENTERTAIN themselves, not for seeing their sad faces. Just smile, be live and active, and you'll stand out against a background of most of the models.

Just throwing this out there as it's something you might not know about, but you can do couples camming on Streamate. If your husband is comfortable, you could always just have a sexy good time on camera with him. You might not be so limited after all. :)

It doesn't hurt to give camming a try. I think if you're going to try MFC and are serious about camming, then you have to take it seriously. There's a lot of helpful advice on this forum for new models and I suggest reading through that stuff.

Also, like AllisonWilder says Streamate allows couples cams and so does Cam4 and Chaturbate.

Instead of quoting each individual post I'm just going to lump it all into one.

First off, I'd just like to thank all of you for your feed back. It was very helpful.

For right now camming is just a thought. A part of me would love to jump into it right now, but another part of me is trying to be wise about this. I appreciate all of the websites that we listed, now I can read up on them and perhaps stalk them as well, lol. I realize the internet is forever, you can't always prevent your videos from leaking, and it's a matter of when your family and friends find out not if. That's a big reason why I am taking my time.

As someone mentioned what makes any cam girl is her smile and I've noticed that (as well as personality) between watching new models and some seasoned models. I have noticed a lot of the models who have dedicated a lot of time and built up a fan base can just sit there to chit chat about their day, and be themselves. I have no idea what they do in private since I've never taken a model private. I've also steered more towards watching the newer models since that is what I will be. I wanted to see how the chat rooms went, the amount of tokens they asking for, and just how they interacted. Of course I am no cam expert, but I feel that a lot of the newer girls that I have seen are lacking in personality. For example, I watched a new girl for roughly 30 minutes as she ate almonds, chips, and an apple all while looking completely uninterested and waiting for tips. I realize that men are here to pay to see your tits, to watch you masturbate, and so on, but from what I've gathered if that's all that wanted they could just search free porn videos. It seems to be more about building some what of a relationship, to have some human interaction whether they're lacking it from their SO or just in general. I feel like camming goes a little deeper than just porn, but perhaps I'm just reading into this too much.

To touch base on another reply of being realistic, I can definitely see where you're coming from. After watching cams with my husband and doing research, we've talked about the financial possibilities with camming. Although I think I'm attractive and have a great personality, I don't believe that alone will pay all of our bills. I'd be happy to make $100-200 a week after a couple of hours for maybe 3-4 days a week (keeping my limitations in mind). Camming for me wouldn't really be to pay bills, more so it would for savings and any little extras I may want. After my husband supporting me for the past 3 years that I've been home I would just like to make some money of my own, something that I've earned. Socializing is another big part of it, as well. I don't get out much with having a toddler.

I'd also like to thank the other models who added in about their own stretch marks, that makes me feel better. If any of you ladies have suggestions for a good cam and good lighting I would definitely appreciate that.

Again thanks for all of the replies! :)

My boyfriend and I work on chaturbate, sometimes we get on just to chitchat when xpeeps is being a bitch. Last night we hung around for two hours talking about movies and video games. We brought in two new members and ultimately made about 500 tokens just sitting there. We did a show earlier in the day and we made about $100 after being online for about 3-4 hours. It's not as much as we could have made, but we also do not start our shows until we have met our goals:

400 tokens for naked (I get naked, he still wears his boxers), 700 tokens for blowjob show, and 1,200 for the ultimate goal of a sex show. We met all goals on Chaturbate within two hours. We sat there talking, having fun, being friendly with everyone then we met our goal and got down to business.

There's a few assholes, but quite a few nice people there. Ultimately yesterday between two websites and quite a few hours, we made about $150.

Our first paycheck on chaturbate was $500, not much, but it was fun and that is what we like. We do rely on the money to pay our bills, which is why we work on a couple websites, mygirlfund is one where I sell my videos as well.

If you are worried about videos leaking, then camming really isn't the best thing for ya. However, you can do non nude or do privates only, still there's a risk of being recorded. If you are uncomfortable, I would suggest you avoid making any videos to sell, but all in all this is a lucrative business! You just have to give it some time. Start off with just chatting, hanging out, then see where you feel about it. :)

You definitely seem to have the right attitude!
As for camera most cam girls will tell you Logitech is the best option; Quickcam Pro 9000 is a good basic choice, and then there is the C910 and C920 which are great. A lot of models (me included) start out with just laptop cams which works for some but I don't totally recommend it. A webcam should cost max $100 so it's a worthwhile investment. (I had a friend try out MFC and decide that because of her regular career it just wasn't for her: she bought her cam at BestBuy and was able to return it  ).
As for lighting I hope someone else will answer that because I definitely don't have the best lighting setup. Just try to have as much light as you can. Extra lamps behind your camera work well (maybe not shining directly in your eyes though!).
If you decide to give it a go, good luck! Camming can be a lot of hard work but it can also be super rewarding (both emotionally and financially!) and a lot of fun!
