yesterday i finally got that butterfly feeling you get when you know you have to change...
so i spend 6 hours on paint... google.. and the model admin.. and changed about everything in my profile...

http://profiles.myfreecams.com/TashaDutchBBW

let me know what you think.. cause i spend aloot of time and concentration into it...

soon i will offer pic sets...
i will put more work into getting promoted by sexyladyshow..

so what did the new year change for you? camwork wise?

Is there a reason why you posted this thread here and in the Models Only section?

yep i like the opinions from both models and members..
as you may have noticed.. not everything that was included in the models section was included in this post.
you did sound a little snappy.. not sure where that came from... :?
if you have something nice to say i appreciate that.. but i dont appreciate snappy comments that have nothing to do with the topic i created...
if you need to ask me things like that... it might be a good idea to pm me the next time...

No, it wasn't snappy at all, I was just asking why you did that and you answered the question.

Its just that an instense, bright color on black creates a lot of contrast which can be hard on the eyes. Perhaps you could try a lighter background in the text boxes and a more "brick" shade of red?

As for the font choice, comic sans has its uses, but it feels very out of place on an adult website. Its a little hard to explain, but the font was created with the intention of being a free font packaged with Microsoft Office for use in things like comics. Try Arial or Helvetica- they provide readability without the bubbly/child-like feel of Comic Sans. (If you want to watch a short video about Comic Sans look here The Garfields are a little confusing too.

If you need any help with the graphics or a free copy of photoshop let me know, Id be happy to help :) I used to do graphic design freelance in highschool and its what I studied when I was in college.

Your main photo is gorgeous BTW

Why does she have to say anything? She asked why you posted it twice. This is the ASK A MODEL section and the other is for models only, so it stands to reason that this was a redundant post. Would have been better if you had simply posted in the model advertise section or general discussion rather than here as well.

Also, websites like Twitter have widgets that you can use, located >here< so I am wondering why your images looked so rugged? Their .png files are really just better looking than the one on your profile.

Comic Sans is also the joke of the type face community. It looks goofy and kind of unprofessional. I can't think of a single person that actually likes that font....but to each their own.

Also, it seems like you saved a lot of the images in the least quality, maybe bitmap? They look fuzzy and they aren't crisp at all, which makes them a bit hard to read.

Well of course Miss Holland wants some feedback! I just did the same thing last night, although I am not quite finished with mine...I changed my avatar and I added a bunch of new pics and organized them a lil' differently (more galleries, less pics in each one). I still need to do some work on the graphics, etc.

I think you did an awesome job, TashaTypical...I am on my stupid lil' netbook and I had no problem reading the red on black or the fonts or anything, but sheesh what do I know, I am totally new to paint, etc, and havent much experience with graphics. I also use comic sans all the time! oops....but anyways I thought it looked good, and of course I also rated and admired you bb's!
I also like the name change!

I really recommend learning Photoshop, Paint.net(free) or the GIMP(also free) or a program that will allow you to save high quality .jpeg or .png images. There are tons of great tutorials online to help you learn the software. Its worth it as a model to learn to do this stuff yourself rather than pay a designer, as we are responsible for our own advertising/public image.
You don't have to be a professional to look professional, just some research and practice really pays off :thumbleft:

Oh Please please! Help me bb's... I have had the fuzzy thing happen before and I had no clue why some pics turn out that way, while others don't. I have NEVER taken any classes on any of that stuff, anything I have figured out was completely by accident...its sooo embarrassing, I feel like an old lady in the dark ages sometimes!
:-D

And yes, I loved the main photo too...wowza!

thank you! well i was going with something i really love... which is garfield! hehe
i would have done winnie pooh bear.. who i my absolute fave.. but that kinda felt worst.. is that makes any sense...
i did butterflies and other more abstract stuff.. but that just suit... well.. me
comic sans has always been my fave font.. and i always use it everywhere...
i think cute things can combine with porn.. its not like 10 year olds are gonna find my mfc profile and confuse it for something else...

i suck at photoshop.. i had.. and can still get free copies.. but the whole setup confuses the shit out of me...
spend hours searching youtube and google.. but still got no clue...
i'm gonna see if i can make the font more 'adulty' haha
and gonna work on the colours tomorrow... i do still love garfield tho.. :p

thanks for taking the time to respond and help me :)

for all the negative and almost childish comments: i was looking for well meant and substantiated feedback.. not a burn out... everyone has their own taste...
and to be honest... i'm not a porn barbie at all... so why would i have a profile like one?
i just dont get all the hostality... all i asked for was feedback.. about MY profile...
jessi did a great job at that... so i dont get why it has to turn into some 'burn on that silly girl' thing..

Really the only things that are important to your profile are 1. a sense of your personality and 2. readability
I don't find it hard to read or tough on the eyes, but my screen is kinda big. Comic Sans isn't my fave, but it conveys a sense of humor/silliness which seems to fit you. So why not? Then again, my profile is a melange of evil bunnies and underpants gnomes right now. Perhaps this is not my area of expertise.

Do you want honest feedback?

honest doesnt means harsh to me...

Nor me. I haven't offered any yet.

I'm perfectly happy to offer my feedback as long as you're willing to hear it honestly.

I just thought I'd ask first because I know that when you've spent some time doing something, it's not nice to hear how it should be changed sometimes.

The comments weren't mean, they were constructive criticism. You can't ask for opinions and ignore the ones you don't like. That's not how opinions work. If THIS hurts your feelings then I am not sure how you get on MFC without crying every night.

Our comments aren't meant to be mean, they are meant to help you improve the way your profile looks. It looks bad. Now, that's mean. I said it in a nice way the first time, but if you insist on calling my comment mean and childish then I won't play it nice.

What the fuck is a porn barbie? No one said you were anything, every comment was directed AT your profile. I am not sure where you are getting your feelings hurt, but it seems silly to completely ignore any comments about your profile that you so choose. Maybe you should have reworded it and said you were looking for praise and not negativity.

i think only pointing out negativity isnt 'constructive criticism'
if it were that.. you would like to help me make it better... it more sounded like you just wanted to tell me everything is shit...

its just the way that the things were written down.. the tone... even in text that shows up..

as i said before.. there were comments that were both negative and positive..
i also responded to those didnt i? unfortunately they werent coming from you...

a profile should say something about a model IMO.. thats why i pointed out i'm not a girl who would have flashy graphics with pussy and boobs on her profile..
thats just not me...

i understand that everything i say cant always be understood like i mean them.. as i assume that happens the other way around...

ofcourse i like feedback.. else i wouldnt have made this topic...
its never nice to hear people say bad things about something you spend the whole day doing.. but it can all be said in a way where i can relate and change...

I'm totally agree. Using another program the same images could be so much better. Maybe you can put the background in a lighter color, it's only a suggestion. And love the Garfield cartoons.

haha well.. that was my point.. i hate when people say that its hard on the eyes.. so i have no problem changing that...
but i also feel that a profile should say something about the model herself.. and garfield sure does explain alot about me
mfc is mix of friends... and porn.. so having a less 'adult' like profile seems to make sense.. if that suits you...
there for.. i dont think anyone can be a real 'expert' about profiles or so... ive seen white and green default profiles of girls who have a 5000 camscore..

thank you! i dreamed about him the night before i started re-doing my profile.. so it kinda felt like a sign... haha
i will look at the font and background colours tomorrow.. and i will download photoshop to see if i can make it happen.. i think my dad just downloaded 10 'how to do photoshop' dvd's
so i should manage to get some simple graphics out of that ;)

Then.. Keep it as simple as you can. The Problem I see on your Profile the Mix of Comic stuff..Coloring plus to much Boxes for not much Informations.

Thats not entirely the point I was trying to make. Of course things can be cute and sexy, but Comic Sans isn't cute, its just completely wrong for this use and it looks awkward. There are TONS of fun, cute fonts that you could use that would be so much better. This font is cute, and probably would work on a model's profile so long as it wasn't long blocks of text. And of course, I wouldn't suggest that you have to become a designer or anything like that, Im just suggesting that you might want to think about how you represent yourself if your goal on MFC is to make the most money possible.

You asked for advice, and we gave it. Its your profile and if you just want to ignore it that's your prerogative. If you decide you want to change something, by all means PM me and Ill help the best I can. Best of luck. :handgestures-salute:

Red on black is readable, just, but a higher contrast would be much more beneficial. Maybe try a light background, or a lighter font.

Images
Look, you did everything on Paint so you can't expect much, but you can tell how it was done. It's of poor quality. There's no nicer way to say that I'm afraid and I don't mean it in any mean way.

The use of children's characters on an Adult website has always felt odd to me, but if you feel it reflects your personality, then that's fair enough.

Background
Repeating images never look great, particularly when there's no continuity between them. The image you've used can still be implemented, but say, just as an example, if you had a small black gradient fading out from the edges, it would look much cleaner.

Font
It feels out of place on everything. Comic Sans is just that. Comical. But then I'm a nazi when it comes to typefaces. It has to be perfect.

Should you pay someone to help out, or someone is kind enough to do it for free, ANY profile can be improved upon. A good profile will attract new customers. It's practically your business card for MFC.

As for the other replies in here, I don't think any of them have been rude, or set out to be. They have all offered criticism of some kind, and for the most part, been accurate. On here I've noticed people asking for feedback on their new profile, only for everyone to tell them how awesome it looks, despite often being hard to read or full of low quality images. That helps no-one. Honest feedback is what you should be looking for.

thanks for the advise people... i may have came off fishing for compliments... and a part of me was.. since i spend so much work on it... but it wasnt interely just to get compliments...
i'm going to bed now.. but i will get photoshop.. and look into the things you told me tomorrow...

i still dont fully understand the comic sans thing.. but i guess i'm not in the business to understand.. hehe

if i get all the new things into my profile i'll post it :)
