hey guys! so i'm fairly new, been on mfc and chaturbate a couple months now.

for a while i was doing super well on mfc, was staying steady over 1000 camscore.

the week before last i dude really well. Then on the following tuesday... it just dropped! i went from a peak of 90 and average of 40 max per day, to like... 10-15.

i wasn't going on cb much at the time cause i prefered mfc. so this week i go back on cb, since at least i don't have to worry about camscore.

this monday, i had 300 people in my room and did super well!

then the last two days... suddenly can't break 120 people.

Could something be wrong? are notifications not working? i'm so frustrated! :(

I’ve noticed a pretty big drop in viewers on MFC as well. There’s a lot less “guest” viewers, like I used to have around 15-20 in my room before I even logged on. My guess is that maybe they cleared out bot viewers? I don’t know if that’s it for sure, though.

I'm going to blame the holiday seasons, people are spending less on models and more on the people offline in their lives. I logged in to CB today and couldn't get more than 5 registered viewers in my room at one time (but I wasn't on for a show)

I’ve noticed a drop in chaturbate viewers recently too! I think it’s just the holiday season with a little bit of end of month slump thrown in. I also wonder if their server issues are affecting things? I know some of the members that frequent my room are getting really tired of all the lag and crashing!

Truuuu!!

I did my birthday show today so i was split camming, which was mostly fine but every now and then my fps would drop to like 2 on chaturbate then go back up to 20-30 a few min later lmao

and yeah end of month seems to be super rough I've noticed, forgot about that factor too! shitty combo

In the past month there has been a huge number of new models on chaturbate. It's the largest number of new models I've ever seen and some are even getting on the first page on their first day.
It is the holidays. Ppl trying to make that extra coin for it.

They have definitely cleared out a lot of bots, I used to have tons of guests in my room even before I logged on and now I have like 6 the whole time I'm on. I was always sure the majority of them were bots, probably ready to record shows and post them to other sites so I think it's a good thing!

You should block any suspecting Grey's already camping in your room before going live. Because lol fuck their recording.

Well... me, I collect data about camsites ;)

i would prefer if you are gonna collect data, you properly label it when presenting your graphs ;) i have no idea what the y axis numeral represents. also do you track just the main camsites, or do you also cover all affiliates/white labels too? i'm not trying to discredit you, but i don't trust any traffic analytics unless it released by the actual site. yours is a rough estimation to the data you have available. this isn't that much of a significant drop imo or anything to be worried about. every year people complain about a drop in viewers. i'm sure we all read chicken little as kid.

models keep in mind:

it's the holidays, people are spending less. end of the year means a lot of big bills, ie tax bill. another factor is there has been a lot of nasty weather. california was basically all on fire up until last week and now the north is being pummeled by snow. when it's slow, you have to put in more time and may more of an effort. get some extra eggs in your basket to help make up loss of revenue.

like i said, this happens EVERY YEAR, and slow periods are just nature of the business.

The y axis is the global average viewers on MFC. Sorry for that. I am used to look at raw data. This data is collected by checking the room count of all models online every minute. The room count on MFC includes guests and bots, so this can be manipulated.

also do you track just the main camsites, or do you also cover all affiliates/white labels too?
Only main sites. But it wouldn't make any difference. Everything that happens on the main site happens on affiliates/white labels, so the data (models online, viewers, privates, tips etc) is the same across all them. That, of course, if the site has a white label, which MFC has not.

but i don't trust any traffic analytics unless it released by the actual site
Does any site release this kind of data? I am not arguing. I am sincerely asking because I don't know. If any site does that, thumbs up to them. It is very useful for models.

Yes, the drop is not huge, but it is there. Doesn't mean the end of the world, just holidays. The same happens during Super Bowl, but on the next day everyone is back.

I just automatically assumed it was his own collection of data given his history. I maybe mistakenly assumed most models here knew who @MyCamgirl was and what his site is/was over the last 8 years.

what is the numeric value though? i'm assuming it's not the literal. 1 = ? thank you for clarifying. i was just staring at this random graph for some random site.

so you can only view members who are logged into room? since mfc opened mfcshare, i think you will have a harder time judging traffic since members now have different options to view content. i do believe white labels would be much of a difference for other sites, so I disagree, since this is MFC, that doesn't apply. most sites allow customers to stay invisible or their whitelabel is a rebuild of the site. i've seen a lot chatroulette clones of camsite white labels that function not like chatroooms normally do. like members are unable to interact or see one another. on streamate, we finally got a counter on actual number of viewers/potential customers.

Does any site release this kind of data? I am not arguing. I am sincerely asking because I don't know. If any site does that, thumbs up to them. It is very useful for models.
sadly the only site to do this is porn hub network. which if they ever put any information for pornhublive (their streamate whitelabel) they would only able to provide amount of sign ups and link engagent to the white label. do appreciate the effort you put in, especially with limited data you are able to collect. i have used your site for SEO research countless of times.

I was just looking at this graph with no context. i didn't know which site or what is it for exactly. just needed mah dude explain what im lookng at lol

I think its funny, I've been around MFC for 4ish years and for just as long models have been complaining about declining viewers

Yes, there is a drop.

For comparison's sake, same period last year.

Those are useful graphs. Is there a page on your site where you keep average viewers updated for the major sites? Or were these graphs something you did custom for this conversation? I would love to bookmark this if it is a public resource. Do you have these graphs for CB as well?

Looking at the average line you constructed, there is between a 14% and 20% viewer count loss this year versus last. That seems like a bigger story than the large - but probably holiday-related and temporary - spike down that is recent.

Is the y-axis the average viewers per room? If yes, this would ignore the total (average) number of models on the site during each of the sample periods. In cases where the number of models is increasing over time, this would have the affect of decreasing the average number of viewers per model, but the overall site traffic might be less affected. Is there any way you can produce these graphs using total site traffic, maybe annotating at the top of each graph how many (average) models comprised the sample?

It would be interesting to see how this plays out for the top 100 MFC models. In conditions of increasing competition, maybe the top models are more insulated from the decline, and maybe the brunt of the increased competition is felt at the bottom.
