I'm rather new here so bear with me. I only recently stumbled upon this article today! What other alternatives
are there for wishlists? Do you think this was simply because they were more "well known" than most others? Do you think there's a high likelihood of it happening to your average cam-girl?

That particular article is from well over a year ago. And I didn't do a thorough Google search but the few links I could find also were from around that same time. So I think if it was an issue it has blown over.

If called to their attention Amazon will still delete accounts if they feel like it. Its not a witch hunt anymore but they can. Its why if you have issues with gift cards getting refunded or members buying something off your list for goods from you that doesnt show up its best to stay mum to Amazon about it. They will not be on your side.

Do some models have ebay wish lists?

PayPal split from eBay last july
Not really. Ebay is still required to take a certain percentage of Paypal payments. Its a pretty high number but I forget the exact amount of the deal. But second even though the businesses may not link the sellers still mostly only take Paypal.

I couldn't figure out how to use Amazon without giving my address so I didn't have a wishlist for the longest time.
Then I found DeliveryCode. It's pretty cool cus people can "vote" for you and it gives you .10 cents. Not a whole super lot but hey I already have a 1.30! And it's cool cus you can add stuff from almost anywhere on the internet. :)

I haven't had anyone buy anything for me on it yet so I don't know how well it works but I see a lot of others models use it as well, and maybe if they see this thread they'll chime in! Definitely an option to look at and discuss though ^-^
www.deliverycode.com <---the website.

I also use Deliverycode and have been happy so far. Amazon can be a gamble anyways for security reasons.

These are the fees for paypal if one is sending money for a good it ends up being 2.9%

One could always use a Universal WIshlist tool like
http://www.wishlistr.com/
http://www.wishpot.com/
Oh this seems promising, thank you :h:

Thank you so much, this looks great as well. I'm having the same issue with Amazon.

DeliveryCode keeps your address and info private as far as I've researched. They specifically mention it in the FAQ I believe. I didn't even have to put my real name which was a super plus for me since my Amazon is my own personal Amazon and I was super worried about people seeing my full name on there.

I'm not positive, but I think Delivery Code was made specifically for cam models/sex workers/whatever. They keep all of your info private, and it's really convenient to put stuff on there from anywhere on the internet.
I've been trying it out, in addition to Cyberdust in lieu of Snapchat, which lead to a discussion of my being a "knock-off" cam model in my room the other day. :haha:

DC was created specifically to answer the issue of Amazon in keeping people's shipping information private. I've talked to many porn stars, cam girls, and other adult models who have horror stories about rabid and obsessed fans stalking them. Of course this isn't only a concern of sex workers, but since we have all worked in the adult industry for forever, you guys were on our minds when creating it!

Probably a good thing you are not on Amazon. 5 years ago a model/friend claimed she was completely anonymous. I laughed at her and she challenged me. I went to her Amazon wishlist, identified all the items that were offered by a third party, ordered the cheapest one (was like $2), then I sent the third party an email asking if they could verify the correct address. They responded with the address complete with the apartment number. I haven't done it since then but I could if I wanted to.

Cyber Dust does not allow pornography https://www.cyberdust.com/terms. Wickr is the only alternative to Snapchat that does not ban adult content https://www.wickr.com/. With Wickr you can set the expiration time for your messaging content. It is also compatible with Windows and Mac.

This is why you should never add items from a third party and keep checking. Sometimes items which were offered by Amazon switch to third party.

You have to do more than just not add them. By doing that guys can add their own third party items to get your address. You have to actually select on amazon to not give out your addy to any third parties to begin with preventing that work around.

Ah yes, this is true.

Actually, I've also had people say such items cannot be sent to a gift registery address.

If you block third party sellers then they can not be cause they cant get your address to send it to. Amazon wont give it to them.

However like said before Amazon itself has given out addresses to members so using them is still not safe.

Can MFC ship items from amazon for you?

I usually just have a wishlist for show (they can't actually buy things and send them to me as there's no address associated with it) and have potential clients send me an amazon gift card if they really want to buy me something. Delivery Code seems promising though, although I recall some people having issues where the address was mixed up somehow. Might have a hunt for it and see if I can link it in this thread.
