If she is with anyone - anyone at all - I’m going to ignore her and keep moving. Because I’d have no way of knowing if that person knows she is a model. It is not cool for me to put her in a position to have to explain where she knows me from, or why I referred to myself as a username, etc. Or worst case, have someone she knows accidentally find out about her modeling because of me. Not worth the risk IMO.

If she is solo, I’d still probably leave it alone in all but a couple cases where I’m confident the model would want me to say hello.
This is perfect

Also remember this, no matter how well you think you know a model, that is a persona. You have no idea how much that person's real life might differ from what they present to you. I know most of you swear that you indeed know your model friends for real, but always keep that in mind, that person you see irl might be a completely different one.

You're grocery shopping, at the mall, in a restaurant, whatever some ultra public place. You see a model you know. What would you do?
If I only knew her through the cam site and we'd never met in person before, I would do nothing and mind my business. I would approach her if she was somewhere in a professional capacity where that was the point - an adult convention or something similar. But if I encountered her in my day to day life I wouldn't approach her at all. For my privacy as much as hers.

Conventions scare me to death. But that's another topic.

I occasionally toss this question out to viewers to judge the creep factor. I remember one guy saying not only would he approach me, he would be more than happy to call my name out across the store to get my attention.

Yikes. Some people don’t think. (Or don’t care.)

Yeah I wouldn't approach them but next time they r on camera I would point out I've seen them as where i live there's a high chance that I would bump into them/see them again.

The funny thing is I don't think I would react if someone called me by my cam name. Hell, not sure I would react if someone called me by real name. I never hear it or say it to anyone.
This is so true. I remember my first shooting, the director kept calling me and I wouldn't answer to Lilly, took me so long to actually get used to it. I think today I would though, I do think of it as a second name of mine.

Maybe that's it? I've never heard anyone call me by that name. Hubby calls me a nickname from decades ago and he's the only human I talk to outside of customer service people.

That’s a good point. I wonder if it would be helpful to the model to tell her after the fact (during a show, not in the public setting).

Models, if a member had spotted you in public, would you want them to tell you, just so you know there’s a chance of it happening again in that location? Or would you rather not know?

I don’t know how common it is for members to use fake names in addition to their usernames, but I have one. After a couple models had asked me what my name was, just for ease of conversation, I came up with a fake name that I give to all models if they ask (same name for all, just so I can remember it easier and it’s basically my cam identity across the board).

But I have the same problem. Every once in a while they’ll say my fake name out loud and I have a moment of “oh, right… that’s me.”

That's funny isn't it? Nobody calls me by my actual name either, my name at home is just my status here if you know what I mean and I basically don't interact with people from the outside world 😂

edit so i wont dp:

When I was younger I would come up with a different name every time with random guys (and with my first "experimental" clients if you will) and forget what name I came up with and soon it became such a mess

@Lilly_____ I know the status you speak of, mine is the reverse. 😁

If anyone told me they saw me in the wild, I would immediately lose my mind and shut down the show and probably stop working for a good long while because some of these weirdos list their location in detail on profiles. Even if it was a joke, I'd be upset.

ETA: Telling me takes away my peace of mind the same way someone saying they found videos of me on other sites that I didn't post does. It's removing me from the bubble I have carefully curated. I am not in this business to be recognized or be famous. I enjoy it up to my comfort line and try to make the best out of the worst of days.

I remember NerdyCamGirl told her horror story about how an MFC member recognized her in the store, and he was following her around the store and shouting out her MFC name. When she got to the register to pay with her debit card, the creep asked the cashier to tell him what the name on her debit card is. 😲 The cashier told him to leave her alone. She said that when she left the store, the guy touched her (I believe she said he grabbed her) and she hit him hard and quickly got out of there (in her car, I think).

JFC what a total scumbag. He's lucky she wasn't armed and I'm glad she got away.

Unless this situation was explicitely mentionned between the model and me (which has never been the case so far and probably will never be), I would just let him/her mind his/her own business and do the same.
On the same topic, some weeks ago I saw a viewer in public chat asking a model how she would react if he recognized her in the street and came to her. She was kind of freaked out by the question. This is so creepy

Even my husband calls me Amber so I would probably react without even thinking twice whether I should.

I don’t think I look anything like Amber when I go out in public, though, for the most part. I rarely wear makeup, I wear my hair differently, and dress in a way that I think would surprise most people who know Amber.

This, too, for me. I am rarely dressed up or have makeup on and any identifying characteristics are covered while out and about.

I wear the makeup and nails etc but I dress in huge sweatshirts and baggy pants so that vs the lingerie makes a huge contrast! I don't think it would be easy to recognize me

Very thoughtful reply and confirms everything I was thinking when I asked the questions. :) It's frustrating to me that I go into other rooms and see viewers talking to each other and not really at the model but in my room people talk directly to me and ignore everyone else. I could be doing something sexy while they chat among themselves. Instead I feel like I'm the subject of an FBI interview.
lol! That is hilareous. I totally get it though, and you're bouncing your attention back and forth to most guys in the room. It definitely is a lot of energy to give! Fun though :)

Just as a side note, I am scared that one day of bumping into a cam girl that knows me. U know how it goes people go to some popular tourist spot (say the effiel Tower for instance) in another country and bumps into someone they know who's also on holiday.
Some girls know what I look like so how would it seem if I bump into them? Would they think im stalking them?

Interesting scenario. If it were me, no I wouldn't think you were stalking me, simply because I never tell anyone where I am going or what I am doing until after I have already been and done what I set out to do.

I think most girls have too many clients to recognize one among a crowd like this, unless it's someone who share their cam really often

You call out a random woman in line at the grocer, "hey, you're bbbb on Chaturbate!". What could go wrong? Better to keep your fantasies to yourself :)

No. I probably wouldn't talk to you or acknowledge you, if it were me. But if you smiled or winked at me or waved or something, I'd return the gesture. Otherwise I don't acknowledge anyone, because client ho pivilege/ privacy. I'm one of the few models who's had benign experiences bumping into guys in public. It happened to me a few times, and I was lucky enough that the dudes never did anything insanely inappropriate. Unfortunately it's pretty common for models to have bad experiences w it though.

One of the times the dude just couldn't stop giggling, and saying "Omg it's you, it's really you". I thought it was funny, and he never said anything more, so I laughed and encouraged him to continue crossing the street, and get out of the way of cars. But if he had said any names, or followed me around trying to talk (he absolutely didn't, he was a cool guy) it would have been different.

Replying to multiple message so I don't spam the forum...

I've had three guys who signed up for OF under their respective chat site names suddenly delete their OF accounts.

What could it be?
If they have deleted their accounts rather than just unsubscribing then two things come to mind:

1. Their wife/girlfriend found their account, or
2. You were their only reason for joining OF and decided the site wasn't for them.

Onlyfans pays out 80%. Chaturbate pays out 50%. I don't know what the other sites percentages are, but in terms of live experiences and content which would you rather have?
Would it be golden if all of us were on Onlyfans and broadcasting live shows? Sorry if this is confusing, I'm not really sure how to word it properly.
If you buy the larger token packages CB actually pays 62.5%, I think MFC and SC are similar. Having said that, I far far prefer the inter-activeness of the live experience. However, if a model has an OF account I will use that for large gifts (eg birthdays, christmas, etc.). I also think the payouts are better on sites like OF and clip stores because running a streaming service requires much more in the way of infrastructure (compute, network, and storage). If OF did start doing live shows I would expect the payouts to be about the same as the other streaming services.

I also like the custom apps and bots available on CB as it allows the model a little more freedom to customize the experience in her room. After getting used to CB I miss those features when trying other sites. Most other sites now look a little cartoonish, except for MFC... which looks like it was designed in the 90's and I am surprised there aren't blinking, scrolling banners.

I really dislike the animated porno gifs, but others like Elaine from Seinfeld doing her happy dance, fainting/swooning gifs, or fireworks displays are ok when used appropriately.

That's a tough one to answer. If I know the model, in that we have chatted extensively online, then the chances are good she knows my location. I never ask a model where she lives, but it not uncommon for a model to ask me where I live and I answer honestly. It also means the model does not have region blocking enabled. She will also know that I am a reasonably good tipper, I am exceeding polite and respectful (I read and learn from the threads here), and I am somewhat funny and charming. Also, if we have done any C2C she has seen my face so I might try to catch her eye from a distance and see if she recognizes me. In that case I would likely say something in a PM or tip note. I would never approach her, or even get too close, even if she was alone, without her prior permission. So I might say something like, "Hey I saw you in [some location], would you mind if I said Hi next time?". Ideally there would have been some sort of innocent event I could point to, i.e. "Hey, I was that guy that slipped on a banana peel and broke his arm."

If I didn't know the model well I would keep my mouth shut and respect her privacy.

Conversely, several years ago a model here went out with some friends to shoot content/clips and when she got back she posted some pics of her and her friends (just some selfies not the "content"). I recognized one of other the women in the photos as a model I see online frequently, but have never visited. Now I feel I can never join her room as I know more about her than someone who has never visited should know. I could just not say anything about it to her, but that would just feel... wrong.

OF does offer live stream (no private shows), but the interface is lacking compared to regular cam sites. Tips during live streams pay out 80%.

I think you are confusing the discount they give to members who buy larger packages with the model payout.

If you buy a larger token package, CB charges you up to 39% less per token than the smaller packages. But I don’t think that has any bearing on model payout percentage.

I can’t imagine they’re calculating how much each member spent on each token whenever a model gets a tip. That can vary even for the same member (if some of their tokens were from a small package purchase and the rest were from a large package).

One token is always a nickel to the model regardless of how much the member paid for their token package. Then exchange rates come into play for non-US models plus payment processing costs. I've seen fees as high as $40 per transfer.

Nope, the model payout is the same, but the percentage changes. If I pay $0.08 per token and the model gets $0.05 per token that model is getting 62.5% of my money.
^^this. Same thing on MFC.

The wording is what gets people. Obviously the "payout" is always the same, but if a member is considering how much of their purchase price is actually going to the model, the larger token packages provide a higher % in the big picture.
