Can you be held responsible for chatting to someone on Chaturbate who they later deem a minor?

Hi all looking for input thanks, as a long term member of Chaturbate i was banned and could not find out why via support@chaturbate.com I contacted @punker barbie who told me i was banned for appearing on cam with a minor (i have NEVER been on cam with or without another).

I now have been told that is wrong information and not why i was banned, i was banned for chatting to a minor who Chaturbate allowed to be on cam on their site.

Can i ask for an opinion, does that seem fair? If the site has let those people on and their profiles say they are 18+ how can I know they are minors so as to not engage with them? Is that my responsibility or the sites?

If someone writes they are underage in chat you HAVE TO treat them as underage even if it's in jest. Probably a customer said they where under 18 as a joke but you either played along or didn't ban them from your room immediately. CB cracks down pretty hard on any age play or age talk even if all the evidence says it's a person joking.

Thanks @sMuser59 absolutely makes sense it was someone else's room i was in as a member with them on cam so to be on there they would have represented themselves to Chaturbate as at least 18 or i presume they would not have been let on.

Chaturbate is irresponsible as fuck and lets people broadcast their cams before age verifying. It also happens on occasion that people use fake ID's or someone else's ID. And, finally, they ban people for being underage even though they're not, just because people report them for "looking underage".

Right? It's so ridiculous. I've never personally had issues with management at CB, but one of my friends was banned for looking too young even though her age was verified.

I've heard of Chaturbate for banning people for looking underage, even when they are verified models, so it wouldn't surprise me that they let the opposite happen. :\

Thank you all so much it seems so partisan, when you as a viewer engage with a cammer it is assumed that the site has acted to ensure no minor is on so I cannot understand why they would penalise me if someone 'underage' is on camera on their site

It does seem a lot of people have issues with support@chaturbate.com on here at least @punker barbie responds but Chaturbate makes no effort even though they are in effect accusing people of doing something and if they engaged they could improve their systems and preserve their brand, will keep you posted

I recently noticed a new Twitter follower whose Twitter page said he’s a 16-year old (or 15?) who loves porn. I blocked and reported the account, and made a tweet about it. Of all of the shit people like to retweet (sometimes people retweet the silliest things), you’d think folks would retweet/acknowledge THAT post, but nope.

I noticed a fellow sex worker being flirtatious with him (encouraging him to check her out, I believe). I’d like to think she just wasn’t aware of the fact that he’s a minor, so I kindly tweeted her a heads up.

It is so challenging Shelly, we cannot expect platform users to have to act as 'detectives' it is surely up to platform providers such as Chaturbate who have the capacity to check a user's credentials to ensure any 'minor' is unable to access their platform which exposes other users of adult platforms to 'risk'

A lot of things in Twitter only get retweeting if you tag big porn promoters, next time if you need something retweeting, tag my promo account @NoobsWithB00bs and I will ask people to rt it
