CharlesBot & MFC, new bromance?

First, I wanna say that I'm super happy for all of the models who've been wanting to get Charles and haven't been able to for financial reasons. Those models are the reason I made my extension in the first place. I think this bodes well for the future of models on MFC!!!

A quick note for those of you using, or planning to use, my extension

We (TheProgrammer and I) have approached model chat room automation from entirely different angles. Each with their own challenges, pros, and cons both from the user end and for us as developers. Right now, I feel that Charles and the Assistant are different enough for me to continue developing the MFC Assistant.

For the features i use.. I'm sticking with Moros's extention especially because of that. Moros's one does indeed post as 'me' so people cant put it on ignore.

I'm excited to see mfc making so many changes to improve our experience as models.

Today, MFC announced that Charlesbot will work for free in all of their chatrooms! I thought it would be helpful to have a thread just for this topic!

IMO I believe many members dislike CharlesBot ... but we just don't make a big deal about it. I have been binning him since shortly after he appeared. I simply click "ignore", so his irritating, over promoting, red fonted, spammy butt is dropped into my ignore bin!!!

IRL I like to watch the movies, but not with lots of ad breaks. On MFC, I can read all of the models promo information on her profile, so there is no need for the "train of pain" banner circus to be trundling through the chat every few minutes, repeating on and on... ad nauseam. Its annoying, very distracting, and kills the "frenzy". Personally, I like my chat room experience to be as "spam free" as possible... thank you!

Like I said before, not all of us use it to spam ads. Members putting Charlesbot on ignore hurts models who use him actively in chat participation like me. Extremely frustrating.

Also, it's ads for things ladies are trying to SELL on MFC. I know my sales went up when I got Charlesbot, there is a reason ladies use him for promotion: because it works. Most people coming by my room don't stay long enough to browse through my profile and a lot of people are on mobile where the profile view is annoying. I've sold many videos from CB's promotions in my room, someone comes in and sees it and wants it and boom... I have tokens and they have porn.

Another thing is that Charlesbot is also used for games and countdowns. I also have little things set up where it actually HELPS the flow of chat or encourages conversation, it isn't all ads. And honestly, I'd rather a lady have ads in her chat than constantly be stopping her side of conversation or a show or whatever to shill her stuff vocally. If people don't like seeing a woman trying to promote her work then I don't know what those people want out of a camsite? We're here to sell stuff, you're here to buy. I don't see what the big deal is.

Also it's every minute and a half at the MOST (most girls have it set to far longer than that too) and it's just text. Anyone that has charlesbot on ignore in my room has definitely missed out on good deals, funny jokes, entire conversation pieces, and GOD FORBID the very short ads for videos, products, and services I've worked hard on.

tl;dr - If you have Charlesbot on ignore then you're probably missing out.

EDIT: If you're the type of person that actively ignores my promotions you're probably not the type of person I want in my chat anyways.

Same here. I am excited to try Moros' assistant, I haven't had a chance yet. I'm all for posting automatically from my own name. If you're in my room, you WILL read my promos.

I think Charlesbot only takes up too much of the page if the chat is dead. If you go into a room and there are like 5 messages from Charlesbot still on the screen then that model has bigger problems than ad spam.

I would say Charlesbot is certainly way less annoying than the room helpers used to be though.

The minimum is 90 seconds btw for automatically posted ads. You can't schedule posts any faster than that.

True. but when a model has CB advertising her Twitter in one message, video deals in another, raffle in another, a game going on and so one it gets a bit cluttered.
