Hello. I have been thinking about starting camming and I don't have an issue with it morally, I also have sold shows and pictures and I'm ok with it.

I was wondering is it true that camming could ruin your image forever when you look for other job prospects? I want to work in social media content creation and marketing long term, also I sell books and I want to be an online entrepreneur.

I think it's ok if you show proudly your job, even that way if you want to work with children won't work. I don't want though.

I would like to know about your experiences.

This largely depends on your location and the type of job you will be applying for.

Jobs in the public sphere are more complicated to mesh with adult work, especially if they require respectability... for instance, if you wanted to run for office, become a judge, or maybe even medicine. Many companies and hospitals will have morality clauses that forbid their employees from engaging in activities that are deemed indecent and adult work would fall into that category most of the time. Education and any other work where you have to take care of children or the elderly will also be a problem.

If, on the other hand, you plan on working in a “creative” type of environment, in young and up and coming companies, say, as a designer or a photographer or programmer, something like that, it’s more than likely your bosses won’t care. Same if you plan on being a freelancer.

Now, if you plan on doing stuff publicly and on your own, and especially if you want to mix politics in, be PREPARED for all the horrible shit people will say about you day and night; for the character assassination campaigns they will launch against you, to have your credibility undermined and your body attacked and insulted in the worst kind of ways. The more famous you become on vanilla social media the more likely it is your adult stuff will pop up and the harder they will attack you. Especially if your audience Is from Latinamerica. I should know, I was a very famous journalist/blogger before camming and eventually decided to quit writing because I couldn’t handle the heat. Think about it long and hard if you plan on capitalizing on internet publicity and social media for anything unrelated to your adult work persona. Chances are it will be extremely hard to keep those 2 apart

I used to follow you years ago. Sad you quit because a viralized video was taken out of context.

I study journalism, wanted to be a political journalist and now I don't want to do anything with it and I prefer design and marketing.

Same people who fap on sex workers the same who hate them.

I have known girls who have quit bc of the heat.

A couple of examples I can recall about sex workers are:

1). A former adult performer (I forget if she was a cam model or porn star) started an exercise channel on YouTube which got very popular. She was originally from somewhere in the EU and moved to Los Angeles to take it to the next step with endorsements, and I think a fitness trainer. Word got out what she used to do, and she lost her endorsements and as I recall sold the channel so it could continue without the association to adult work.

2). Private schools can require morality clause contracts. A story was reported a few years back of a teacher suing her former employer from wrongful termination. Turns out she was in the adult industry but quit long before she became a teacher. IIRC, even before starting college. But, she had no case due to signing the contract.

There’s been other similar situations such as Mila went through. It’s very unfortunate and a huge double standard. But, people do need to think about their future and what they plan to do for a job. Not just adult work. But anything posted online can come back and haunt you in the future.

Depends on what you want for your future. To me, it's more important to retire early and be able to work my schedule the way I want. I see more pros than cons as I don't care to ever work for anyone else ever again. I've always been interested in being self employed and have the education and experience to back it up. So I'm not really worried about future job prospects.

As far as doxxing, it sucks but that's just a risk you need to be aware of before you even start camming. I have my own family established so while it would be uncomfortable initially, my husband is completely supportive so if some stop talking to me it's not the end of the world and it's more reflective of them than myself.

This is something only you can decide for yourself. If doxxing or future job positions are something you don't want to risk, then don't do it. Plan for the worst and work for the best.

If you dont want people to recognize you, change your appearance! Wear wigs, cover noticeable marks, change your voice in your streams and use makeup that will change how you look completely. For example, if you have big lips you could use makeup to make them look smaller, or change the shape. Use colored eye contacts (if youre ok with it), change your eyebrow color/shape, etc. It may help lower the risks of someone recognizing you. Also, NEVER give out private information. Good luck!!
