I wish someone would give a good explanation why most streaming service UIs are so completely useless at performing their only function. Why do these a-holes make it so hard to look through their content catalog? I JUST WANT SORTING BY GENRE CATEGORY AND A WORKING A-Z LIST THAT'S EASY TO GET TO! It's like these services actively DON'T want you to watch what they're offering. Finding something to watch should not feel like a punishment or a chore!

After years of suspecting, I got diagnosed with severe ADD. I don't know how to feel. It's nice to be able to put a name to it and know they're not personal faults or flaws, and I'm a little proud that I've done as well as I have in spite of it. I'm frightened to go on medication, but hopefully it will make my life easier.

Brazilian twitter is going crazy because someone exposed Bolsonaro as a subscriber to major porn site Brasileirinhas. That's the studio I did some films for.... don't really know how to feel about that 😅

One of my favorite memories of our former Maryland governor Larry Hogan (I'd actually liked him a lot!)...when some chick was being a hater on his Facebook status about a Covid-19 update, and he snapped back at her. I, and other people reading the comments, was DYING laughing! 😂😂😂 Some people just figured it was his social media rep. who'd posted that, but it wasn't. I've seen him confirm twice that it was indeed him who'd posted that reply, because he said that he was frustrated with the stupid comments...and that people can easily just unlike his page if they don't want to listen to him anymore. Listen, I ain't mad at him! I freakin' LOVED IT. :p

I'd be happy to know if some of our right-wing conservative politicians subscribed to porn sites, at least then I'd know they were "vaguely" normal. I don't get the double-standards of some sections of society and media. People are watching porn; why wouldn't politicians be some of those people?

in 2018 our deputy Prime Minister (sort of like the vice-president, except we don't hold our leaders in any sort of awe or reverence) fathered a child with one of his former staffers, the media blew up about it, personally I was just surprised that the pathetic excuse for a human being could get someone to fuck him :)

No, I was disgusted at the news because of his hypocrisy: this was someone who championed "traditional marriage" and "family values", this was he guy who voted against the roll-out of the HPV vaccine to women and girls to help fight cervical cancer because it would encourage promiscuity.

Sexual peccadilloes and infidelity, I can accept; hypocrisy, nope.

That's a very interesting input Ozzie. Personally what I actually felt about that in that sense is that this guy did so many outrageous things, so why would people pick on that?

There was a similar case of a Bolsonaro supporter and then minister who is a former porn actor and people were also outraged about it. Again, of all things, why this?

I think, as you mentioned, it's the hypocrisy - because they preach family values. But then again, why is it hypocritical to have both family values AND like porn? I'm a sex worker and the number one thing in my life is family. So I don't see a contradiction.

I do see in those cases, for example, that if you preach for families, why not ALL families? Gay couples, single parents and all? That's where I think the hypocrisy lies. Not in porn consumption.

I think this is something I feel strongly about. When I said that I didn't know how to feel about that, I was referring to the possibility of that dickhead jerking off to my sweet pussy 🤣

It's the taboo nature of it for politicians. They need these things to be underground and dirty in order to get off on them. Normalizing sex work normalizes their fetishes and makes women empowered enough to say no to demeaning and degrading sexual acts and no red-blooded misogynist on earth can handle that level of equality with grace and the dignity it deserves.

Prostitutes held council positions in ancient Rome. I mean Rome fell, but THAT wasn't the reason why.

It has always seemed to me that moralistic-authoritarian politicians are hypocrites who are attracted to having power. I think they also lack self-control because if they really thought something was wrong they could do what the rest of us usually do - just not do it!

Going by some cool history I've read re ancient Rome; yes, some prostitutes and madams had more or less accepted if not honoured status in society and could hold some public offices. But they were freeborn women who were cultured and literate. A prostitute/escort at that level was called a meretrix ("earning woman"), was entirely legal and licenced to work at night and go freely unescorted and pay taxes and enjoyed legal protection.

But they were the privileged minority. Survival sex working the streets and graveyards and sex-trafficked slaves and opportunism was normal from my understanding. I don't think Rome was more enlightened than contemporary societies, really. Plus ca change?

When you are trying your best not to be negative, but all you notice around you is negativity.
How do some people block it out? Or are they on some really good meds.

I think perhaps because much of "vanilla" society (particularly the media) is a bit hypocritical? It is like people complaining / condemning the portrayal of consensual sex in movies / TV but having no problem with violence, murder and mayhem.

Exactly, I might add that the clown in my example was anti-marriage equality when we had that national discussion here.

I agree, quite a quandary to think a guy like him was maybe getting his jollies looking at you. 😵‍💫

I think you're right, Ozzie. It looks like clear hypocrisy or double standards and moral condemnation as virtue signaling and scapegoating.

Honestly, I distract myself from it by going to MFC for an hour or so from time to time. I admit it is peculiar but it's not hurting anyone, far from it.

Been there, but the craziest stunt I ever participated in was having lunch hanging on a crane, hanging over 60 stories above the ground with literally nothing beneath the chairs and the tables. Scariest lunch ever!

True story! Even my usual purple style can’t hide the fact that I’m about to shit my heart down on the Persian Gulf😂

HAHA, Dinner in the sky, They did it here in Berlin too. They hired me to build up the technical stuff. The security measures were extensive. Honestly, I found it a bit macabre.

Aren't they surrounded by glass? Maybe I misunderstood...... but if people could fall, what about all the items on the tables, the chairs they're on etc?
I wondered about that too. When I did this job in Berlin they called it "dinner in the sky" but actually weren't allowed to take anything up that isn't fixed. The chairs were fixed to the whole architecture.

Nothing surrounding them if it’s same as the TikTok I saw

It’s Dinner in The Sky indeed, but the utensils and glasses are not fixed to the structure, and no glass surrounds you. Pretty stressful I have to admit.
