) last summer was cool, but seeing them from outside an Airbnb in Merritt Island, Florida (much darker sky there) was way better. I really wish I was back in a glamping tent at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park for this event, because that's a certified dark sky park...and the starry sky there is out of this world. I don't know if there are any New Yorkers here, but I found out last summer that a good dark sky in New York is all the way out on Montauk, Long Island...right outside of the Montauk Point lighthouse. I was able to look up and see The Milky Way!

I don't know much about animals, and tbh I was never really an animal lover...and then this year something in me just changed, and suddenly I'm ooh-ing and awww-ing over cats, and talking to them and feeding them. 
I do know that your cat is supposed to be considered part of your family. If you move and "can't" take her, you have options of where you could take her so that she's taken care of. Don't just leave her behind at the house where your boyfriend's brother lives (You're leaving her in his care???), just because you're likely assuming the nice lady next door (who's been feeding her and sorta bonding with her) will come to the rescue. I'm all out of cat food until I can buy more. But we've already had the discussion that I cannot take her. I'm disappointed that, between all of these people next door who've been staying in that house (and some who are still living there...and I know at least one of them has a car), someone didn't care enough to at least take Trixi to The Humane Society before M. moved out.
