Eastern Euro/Russian girls pretending to be in USA. Are the foreign studio people just dumb or what?

First of all, nothing against the models, they work hard and are just doing what they can to survive. It seems as if the managers/companies? that run these rooms are just idiots. As a regular dude in the USA who has watched cam girls (primarily on Chaturbate) for about 5 years now, I am floored by the generic / boring and stupid way these rooms are run. FYI I ONLY view rooms in North America, what prompted this post is that I see dozens of these rooms when I scroll through pages checking out models.

What's immediately obvious to me that the room is a studio:
-loud odd-sounding music playing (apparently to keep the audience busy because there won't be much communication otherwise)
-nary a lick of ENGLISH spoken (usually)
-VERY obvious fake bedrooms made to LOOK like a real girls room, non-western strange looking furniture / wallpaper / trinkets, room is usually polished-doesn't look like a real person lives there
-horrible grammar in the profile

Now the thing is, these rooms are generally found in the depths of Chaturbate, page 3, 4, 5, etc.

I am annoyed that they "pretend" to be in the USA in an obvious transparant desire to get more viewers / tips. I've stuck around in these rooms quite a few times, tried to communicate/tip but I just seem to personally have nothing in common with a girl who can't really speak english. If you are in the west and enjoy these rooms, more power to you, but I can't be the only one who feels this way because I've just about never seen one of these rooms at the top of page one or getting tipped bank. I simply can't understand why the people who run these rooms don't figure these issues out and make an adjustment.

Thoughts?

Ahah what I like the best is when they say different country names everytime they are asked where they are from.

That's because some of these models are camming on anywhere up to 7 sites at a time and on each one, or different ones at least, they have different locations in their profile.
I think sometimes they are unaware, other times they just don't care. However, I think the reasoning for them to be saying they are in Country X, is because they are hiding their real country.

Eastern European girls and studios are 100% convinced that the camsites use regional discrimination. In Russian language camgirl forums one of THE hottest topics is which VPN setting gives the best room placement. That's why they change location.

To be fair, some sites sort based on the visitors ip adress. Streamate does this. When i log on from germany my first page is entirely different than for someone who is from the US.
And for me Americans are the biggest % of my income. Can't blame them for trying to get the best placement if placement works like this. IDK about cb/mfc and if it is a thing there or not.
Just unfortunate, if your english sucks. I understand the frustration from a customers point of view, especially if you are into the social aspect or talk heavy type of shows.

Yeah sure :yawn::yawn:... because of course every model is just SOOOOO happy to divulge their home location to every member that constantly badgers them about it... 100 times a day!!! Jeez!

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

A cammodel lying about her location? I have never heard of this like ever.

Btw I am digging that OP has applied xenophobia to his masturbation routine.

My name is Ember and I live in the USA eh? *Pushes Tim Hortons wrappers and ketchup chip bags out of view*

Seriously, it may just be an attempt to shield themselves from being spotted by locals. Geoblocking is ineffective.

I've changed my location to the US because certain white labels for streamate like pornhub live use targeted ads. For Canadian traffic they will show Canadian models in their ads. Being one of few Canadian models with high placement at any given time that meant that as I surfed pornhub while I was live 4 out of 5 pages had my face on it on an ad. Leading to a lot of weird messages from people I don't even know anymore asking if it was me.

Most of them look like they are being held against their will and want to die.

I hope you are joking. Please stop adding to the stigma that sexworkers are being forced. If you believe someone is being held against their will, report it. Report it to the site and to the authorities. Don't add to internet gossip.

Part of this problem is hypocritical. Models won't stop asking for name/age/location either. I think it's more about understanding both sides want to remain anonymous. I've seen models asking these questions then moments later having a freakout when the questions are returned to them.

I have honestly never had an issue with any model if they have asked where I am from and I have said something along the lines of "i'd rather keep it a secret". I think a lot will understand as they know guys visiting camsites is judged a bit by friends, colleagues and family - or of course they have a partner.

If anything, the ones I know are bored because there's very few people in their rooms and they have to work their shift.

Exactly. I see a lot of studio models pulling really long shifts and then maybe only having a few hours sleep and coming back to do yet another 8hr shift. I don't think some people understand that models really do mean it when they say time is money. If they don't earn that day, they don't then somehow get paid by the studio. Or maybe some do know but just don't care - I know a lot do seem to try and exploit it

Not to sound cold on this. But, with a studio, it's a lot like commissioned sales. I know many people who worked sales for 16 hrs a day and made $50USD if they're lucky. It's all part of the job, some days good. Some bad.

I think you are overthinking this to imply that I am xenophobic from my post. I simply don't have much in common with someone I can't even speak to. I'm not some cheap demanding user who doesn't tip.

I really don't understand why models bother doing this. As far as I know, your display name is your name and your age & location are who cares and none of my business. I'm not a fan of small talk though, even IRL, let's get to the point of the conversation. I greet my friends with "bitch, you will NOT believe what my mom did this time!" and skip the "hi, how are you"s entirely.

What am I over thinking? You simply don't like Eastern European studio models who lie about their location being in the US because they aren't from there to get an advantage they normally wouldn't have if they listed themselves in EE because you are afraid you won't understand each other. Seems pretty xenophobic to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good for you for tipping cammodels, but you are complaining about women trying to get an extra advantage in a high competitive job that is solely based on commission. Just put that into perspective. I understand the frustration of not understanding someone, but just move on to the next.

I have come across one main reason and that's depending on your location, you're then "able to tip".
For example, I am British and live in England. If I let models know this, they instantly see ££ ($$) signs in their eyes and assume I am from London, thus making me have lots of money. I would assume there is a similarity to people who are American. On the similar feeling to this, if they say they are in X, Y or Z country that isn't very rich, then they have much less expectations. I think studio models are told this kind of thing though: to target (talk more to etc) Americans and British and other big tippers.

I have had plenty of models outright say to me when I have mentioned I am British, that I can afford to spoil them... Well no. It doesn't quite work like that. You don' know my [current] situation; job; living arrangement etc. BUT this appears to pretty much be with anyone I talk with online, they just think London and seem to think it IS the country lol. If I was rich and living in London in one of their £1million tiny apartments, I'd be able to get myself a trophy (gold digger) wife/girlfriend lol.

Well, my first thought is a question....why does this annoy you so much? I can't see why this bothers you at all. Models lie (for a ton of reasons) about location, age, material status, hair color, education level, children...the list goes on...why does this very specific lie annoy you so much that you wanted to vent about and get our thoughts?
If you are able to tell which rooms are doing this so much to call it "immediately obvious"....then just don't go to those rooms, and if you accidentally go into one without realizing, just leave.

I don't care if model pretend to be from US.
I'd be piss only if she doesn't understand and speak english.

I have my filter on MFC set to show only Australia, North America and the UK because I like to talk with people and talking with people who have limited English reading comprehension skill is not fun for me. Also the times I have spoken with studio models for the most part they seem to be working from the same three scripts, I actually had set up a text document that I could just copy and paste answers from and that show how predictable those conversations were. A surprising amount of studio models has sick family members, relatives and pets so there must be some sort of ongoing health crisis that the WHO probably should look into.

You'll be amazed how often this works though on mfc and how much money members tip for begging. During European day time there are 70-80% Eastern European models plus the ones that change location.

Why would you be "pissed" because someone doesn't speak English? Other languages exist and you shouldn't be "pissed" someone doesn't speak English. Just move on to a room where someone does.

Being "pissed" you stumbled across a model that doesn't speak English is absolutely ridiculous. Your language isn't the only language.
