im taking a week long camping trip with 20 close friends nothing like good food drinks and a floatie on the lake and then after words being so hung over you dont want to leave the house and so sun burnt you cant move but it was all worth it and cant wait till next year lol hope eveyone has a great summer

Bud, I laughed. That float makes me think- why bother with the pool then? Why not just sit around a wading pool instead?

Alas, I am boring. My summer plans are the same as my fall, winter, and spring plans. (IE- plan to visit someone far away, end up without enough money, stay home and mope.) Pathetic, I know.

On the other hand, I'm now playing Star Trek Online. It's free to play. Hurrah!

Also yeah :C I have three close friends.
And by that I mean I have a boyfriend and a best friend and then a girl in the UK that I absolutely adore and want to meet.

no now to think about it not 20 close friends i geuss i just think of them as that cause we have gone every year for the last 5years but really we all live in the same city and only see any of them for camping and maybe 2 or 3 times other then that threw out the year lol well but there all great people i dont have fun with all of them and just me other then the camping my summer is work school work and study so not so much fun

Summer vacation ? Whats that? I haven't had one of those since I 'gragimicated' from college and supposedly became an "adult" with a job and responsibilities.. lol. I do however like escaping to parts unknown in the cool months. Love snow camping, fall and spring cross country trips are the best but are fewer now simply bc of gas prices. Did take 3 days in early May for a float down the Comal River tho....

and yah, that floatie looks cool.

With work- it is very difficult to know what I can and can not do this summer. Work wants to know at the beginning of the year when I want to use my vacation- planning 6-10 months in advance is not my specialty, however, when I want to make any changes to said vacation I get the "We'll have to see how things are the closer we get to that date." So much of my summer will be spent living in the unknown.

What I would like to do is be able to go up to my cottage a few weekends, get out on the lake, relax, sit by the fire, light off some fireworks. I would like to take a few trips and travel and attend a few concerts.

The only certain thing in my summer right now is DragonCon at the end of august and many many 6 day work weeks at least.

Will be doing some weekend camping off and on the rest of the summer, will be going to the local county fair http://www.4hfair.org/ have been active in the club for the last 15 years and still have another 4 years at least that will be active. not counting all of the squirt gun fights and pool parties will also be practicing for bow season in the fall.

This summer is going by too quickly! My favorite part of summer is the great fishing and beach time!

My family was in town visiting and we took them fishing at our favorite shark spot

Lately its been around 103 degrees so we have been going to this secluded lil' spot on the river to cool off... :sunny:

I love summer! LiLredhairedgrl, that looks so relaxing.

I went to Six Flags yesterday, which is one of my favorite things to do in the summer. And this time, the weather was great, and I didn't have to deal with any weather-related ride closings.

I'm skydiving on my birthday tomorrow morning, and having it recorded. Other than my cheeks flapping like crazy in the wind, I hope I don't end up looking weird on the video...lol.

My boyfriend went skydiving last year, and he also bought the video. Not only do his cheeks flap, but his chin too! He is so embarrassed about that and is now totally paranoid of having a double or triple chin. I like to tease him about it sometimes... (though he is far from having a double chin.) :mrgreen:

And I am so envious of your Six Flags trip! I went to Great America years and years ago, and my favorite part was the free fall ride....they strap you in the chair thingy and shoot you up about 12 stories, leave you there for a minute to panic with your feet dangling through your rickety seat, and then SWOOP! They drop you faster than you can even scream for your mammy.....I have never been more terrified or exhilarated in my life! And that was only 12 stories! I can only imagine what a rush you will get jumping out of that plane...
