I don't have any input about this subject matter, but maybe other male models will. Actual porn production is much different than solo live cam stuff, so not sure if you'll get much info here. Let's see.

@KingMarti would be the person I trust the most however I don't think he's dabbled in contract porn and I think that's what you're talking about, if not please correct me.

OKay. So here's a really cool side thing about this industry. You can go to conventions and meet with producers and directors and all of those things and learn the industry that way. You can see convention schedules on sites like AVN.com and Xbiz.com

In simple terms, get a camera, film a video, put it up on clip sites. When you involve other people you need consent forms etc.

JustFor.Fans has a side app (think its called finder) where models can post up that they are looking to do scenes / collab. That would be where I would start. Other than that twitter, find people that regularly shoot with other people, make sure your tested etc. and message people, many who are open to shooting will have a booking email on their twitter.

The country you're in will also influence opportunities, including legalities.
If you consider relocating to get into the work, check visa/work rights and NEVER agree to surrender a passport or other original ID to any employer/agent/broker etc.

If you are in Alabama, North Carolina or Utah be aware there are extra hurdles and restrictions around shooting porn. I won’t get into them unless you say you are from one of these states.

If you are US based like you said, I’d start w following all the gay and bi performers you like, look and see who their agencies are. Follow them. Start interacting. Possibly reach out to a couple - you can always pay for a consult. Start advertising availability for colabs. Consider hiring a coperformer to help you get your first videos made (I don’t know how easy or hard it is for male gay porn performers to find unpaid colab partners starting out).

Follow all the industry news sources. Xbiz etc. sign up there.

start producing solo videos to get the hang of it.

Educate yourself on the testing requirements required in your industry (it’s different for gay porn and straight porn)

Iii don’t want to disagree here but I get portfolio pics from agencies all the time for models and they are typically all full body, showing hair and tattoos. Professional shots - typically I get 3-6 photos with 1-2 in underwear, and the rest nude.

I will caveat that i only hire female talent so I don’t get male portfolio pics.

Unrelated pet peeve but when I DO hire, from agencies it’s typically for fetish work that requires some acting ability. And many of these models are new, and the agencies don’t send video samples. When I go through their socials, if they exist, any videos are often reels with music, no speech. And any sex videos I find aren’t helpful either.

If you are looking for roles that might require you to speak, for the LOVE of god from a producer who is VERY much looking to find new talent…post speaking samples on socials.

just some dirty talk, or a video of you speaking introducing yourself and where to find your porn is fine! I just need to hear your voice and see how you speak to a camera

I only shoot G/G so I’m no help to you - sorry.

I don’t know about where people go for male talent but what I can speak to:

I cast from agencies, Twitter, sexyjobs (which is a cesspool), discord groups, telegram groups, Instagram and I also watch out for models on clip sites I like. BUt honestly MUCH of this is networking. I go to events, over years and years I get to know people. I get added to things.

On socials like twitter put your location and any travel dates in your username so it’s easy to see.

Example: someone I cast 3 years ago has moved into producing and is looking for Femdom and experienced subs for an event. She sent me an Invite, I declined but passed it to 4-5 producer friends I know that might be interested and they may pass it on as well. it’s just networking an it takes time.
