How to overide the standard "Performer is Away". It seems to take at least 10 minutes, sometimes even longer. It's really annoying

it's especially annoying after you've been cut off because of internet problems and you just want to restart the session ASAP but find yourself having to wait 10 minutes because the model doesn't know how to override the standard Away time once the private finishes. It's very obvious that some people know how to do it but most don't. I thought it might be as simple as just reloading your page as the performer but I don't think that works. Can someone please share the wisdom?

Sorry if this is a dense question but which website is this about? In my experience from the other end there is a button I can click to return to the public stream. At least on camsoda, chaturbate and stripchat I have a button I can press on my end to come back to public chat. I'm not sure if reloading the page works.

Yeah I assume he's talking about CB. On SM and MFC I can return whenever I want. On SM the longest you can choose to be gone is 10 mins, but you can return anytime you want. Maybe the performer isn't as eager to return as you are?

Yeah it's just a link to return to public. I often intentionally leave it up when I've left a private and log off but unless you're already in the room when I do that you wouldn't see it.

We have a 10 minute grace period for away after private so we can clean up and get sorted again.

And no there is nothing you can do about it, nor should you be allowed to...you have no idea what she's doing on the other side of that message.

I didnt understand the 10 minute part, did they add a limit recently?
It was what support told me when they hit me with a warning for being off cam too long when I forgot to take it down many years ago. Typically we can be off cam for up to 20 minutes at a time before we get hit with a warning.

Sounds like she may have been cleaning up after the private show, getting dressed, grabbing a snack, hitting the bathroom, touching up makeup.... these things take time!

As others have mentioned there is no way for you to "override" that message; If the performer is away then the performer is away. She may have answered a phone call, run to the toilet, or gone to get something to drink etc.

However, if you've exchanged PMs you can send a PM. If not a tip note will also work. If you've been dumped out of a show due to internet connection issues I've found that the models usually like to know that and that you didn't simply bail without so much as a "thank you ma'am".

Also, on a related tangent if anyone's interested, how it works on SM is you get 10 mins. If your stream then auto-connects and no one is there, the stream is ended. You don't get in trouble for it or anything, you just get a message basically saying; "we saw no one was on your stream, so it's been ended. Reconnect when you're ready." If you want to return sooner than the 10, you are able to anytime you hit the button to end your break.

There are times I have to use it to let my dog out real quick, and don't need a full ten mins.
Most of the time, I end my stream after a show, rather than use it.
But I could see on token sites how that would suck.

I have no clue the specifics of how it works on any other site, never paid close enough attention anywhere else.
