I feel like the "Elephant Man"

Just need to vent about a little something...

Last Tuesday morning I woke up only to discover that the right side of my face was all swollen from a painful infected tooth.
I went to the ER and got antibiotics and pain meds the other day, but the swelling still hasn't gone down. I feel like the Elephant Man here.
First, it was a big ass zit the size of a small planet attached to my face that was keeping me off cam, and now this case of "elephantiasis" has kept me out of work all week... but I simply can't afford to take another day off. So if you happen to see me on cam tomorrow with my one "Marlon Brando" cheek, please don't be cruel.

Are you sure it's a tooth? Way back when I was eleven, my came in to check on me and discovered half my face was swollen. Took me to the ER and, since I had very bad teeth at the time, they yanked them. Problem was, the swelling persisted. Turns out the problem was actually a blocked saliva gland, so they popped a tube in to drain it- the removal of which was one of the more painful experiences of my life.

Told me later that eating dill pickles would help the situation, I believe it was the juice that would help. Now, keep in mind I was eleven at the time, so I may have missed a few details. But it could be something to look into if your swelling persists.

I just want to say - and i know everyones experience may be different, but when i get on sick, or covered in zits or whatever - no i don't get as many new tippers but very often my amazing regulars take it as an opportunity to show me they care about ME (not just my body). Sometimes guys really like that opportunity to show the girl that she's beautiful to them even when she doesn't feel her best. Being honest about your insecurities, without being completely negative (ie. TAKE A COMPLIMENT WHEN YOU GET ONE) can really be to your best benefit on these days. members sometimes like the chance to prove they are not shallow - if you give it to them. Sick days - if only done occasionally - have been some of my best days on cam.

Hope this inspires you I think its important girls hear this so iim putting it in your zit thread too

I know this is such a belated reply to this, but you could try "oil pulling". You use organic coconut oil and rinse in your mouth for about 20 minutes. You can google it for more info. It helps with my teeth and gums since I have braces at the moment. Worth a shot!

This happened to me last year! I thought I had an blocked salivary gland, but it ended up being an infection on my dental implant, had to get a bone graft!! And it would NOT have been fixed any other way. Antibiotics made it go down a bit, but did not heal it. I needed a surgery. Better go to a dentist and see what they'll do to fix you up.

He was making a joke. If a guy had started a thread titled 'Elephant Man' then odds are it would have featured pictures of his gigantic dick. Elephant...hung like an elephant's trunk. He was hesitant to see that. Had nothing to do with being insensitive.
