I think I have been ripped off .
I made ask for a custom to made by a model on MFC. sent her the details of what I would like, and whether she is comfortable doing it and also to get the fee for making such a custom video. The model replied stating it is something she is comfortable doing and she would have it delivered by the weekend (request was made on Monday). The model request to paid with a $150 amazon gift card for the custom video. This was done after she confirmed everything is good.

The weekend passed and not word from the model. So I decided if I don't hear anything I'll contact her in the middle of the following week.
Sent a mail to her and got no reply. Two weeks passed got a MFC notification, she was online. I sent her private message asking if everything was OK and whether she got the chance to make it. She replied she did and it was on another computer system and she will upload the same evening and send me the link.
I checked my email the following day in the night and notice I did not received any email from her.
The same night ,I saw her online and sent her a private message stating I did not receive it. About half an hour passed and did not receive a reply from her so I asked her to check her PM message in public chat.
The some minutes passed and then I decide to message public chat and asked her if she saw the private message and notice that my messages are not being registered in public chat.
I though something must have been wrong with my system, then later found out on MFC wiki , that this is what happens when a member is placed on ignore.

Since that I have not got a message or heard from the model .

I figured by asking her what happening she would have told me then decide on the next action she would taken, but I did not receive a reply, so I don't know her side of what happened.

Right now I feel that the model doesn't want to have anything to do with me.

Has the gift card been used? Try contacting amazon support and get a refund or something?

Other than that you've learnt a very expensive lesson; only use the website currency as that way you may have some form of recourse (i.e. could complain to MFC and maybe they'll give you your tokens back - but its still unlikely as they've always said tokens = gift, so you are pretty much fucked whatever).

So, most importantly, only spend money on people you trust.

p.s. Trust is not having a nice pair of boobs and a rotund ass.

i would honestly cut your losses cause there is nothing that can be done. get customs from clips sites instead of camsites.

she may of chickened out on the custom. from my personal experiance camgirls are weird social creatures.

Not even...she just probably do that with everyone. That is just usual stuff some models do unfortunately. Take the tokens, never deliver a video or whatever she got the tokens for, put member on ignore and lifetime ban.

probably. but we know nothing of this girl. the fact that she asked for offsite payment is a redflag. i took a happy pill today, so I maybe I'm giving her too much benefit of the doubt? still shitty and crappy what she did to op.

Right now I decide to take the loss. What kinda burns is putting me on ignore when I asked about it. I figure for whatever reason she is unable to make it she could could have said just replied.
Well lesson learned and I will move on.:)

Sadly, your experience is not uncommon.

It's worth a few minutes of your time send details to MFC support. Since the payment wasn't tokens, I'd be surprised if they got involved but perhaps if there are other reports about her, they'd do so.
Also, send a PM to @MemberBlasts either on this forum or a DM on twitter. They are making an effort to name and shame (after investigating) models who do this kind of crap.

If it's an amazon GC if she has not spent it (even if she did redeem it) you may be able to get your money back by calling amazon.

I'm sorry this happened :/

I just started using the manyvids escrow system where a member pays for a vid then when i complete it, MV releases the funds to my account. I really like it so far and i'd suggest it to anyone with worries about this kind of thing. It is all too common for scammy stuff.. :/

Escrow systems are the best to buy vids for both model and member for future reference as it removes a lot of pressure and trust. Like in an innocent situation if a model accepts money for a custom then something comes up or she now cannot do it for whatever reason, she's already spent the money and it's hard to give refunds so she'll continue trying to force herself into it and the whole thing would become unpleasant for everyone, while with an escrow there are no losses for anyone. It also means for the member they cannot get scammed.

On MFC you can buy custom videos from models, but you should always get to know the model first IMO and know if she's good with producing custom content. Sometimes if for a model they aren't the main part of her business the video may not come to you within a few days or even weeks as she will have other things to do, though personally I prefer to get on with it as soon as I can. I think sometimes members think that once they've purchased a video that it should suddenly be the first thing they do for work, so if they see her camming and she hasn't sent the video they get annoyed, but that's just not how it works, nor is it how it would work in any company selling multiple services. Personally I try to get custom content in as soon as I can while I'm motivated, preferably on the day, but sometimes you miss an opportunity and life comes up causing delays.

I would also say, you didn't mention the price, but if a price is too good to be true personally I wouldn't trust it or would at least be cautious. If a model has a low camscore then 30 tokens per minute would be a decent enough deal, but anything over 2/3k and she's going to be taking a pay cut (unless that's why her camscore is higher). I have had random members requesting content from me offering ridiculously low prices who also complain about having been burnt, and I do think "well, what do you expect when you're trying to pay them less than minimum wage for exclusive, custom porn?". That might not be you, but it's definitely something to watch out for. Custom porn isn't really something that should be cheap to buy, in that situation it's likely that one of you is taking advantage. I also think the models who do scam will probably be more likely to do so as they know you're not willing to pay a reasonable price anyway so you're not worth keeping around. Harsh as it sounds.
Gift vouchers are also a bit of a warning sign as it's off site, most models are on MFC to pay their bills and to earn actual money. You cannot survive off amazon gift vouchers. I can only speak for myself but I will only accept vouchers for content if I know I am planning on buying something from Amazon anyway. There aren't many situations that you could go into a serious store or service provider and say "how about I give you vouchers to one particular online store instead of paying you in cash?".

It's a hard lesson to learn, and in this situation it sounds like she was genuinely scamming you from the start rather than it being a misunderstanding, but as the others say there's not much you can do except to see if Amazon will refund the voucher. Not all models are like this, in fact, most of them are not and will absolutely provide the content you pay for. Just look out for warning signs and don't use MFC for meeting random models and getting content from them. That's what clip sites are for.

Actually, he did mention the price $150, which is well within the range for a normal custom video depending on length and content.

Yeah $150 is not a too good to believe of a price but just about right for one that's custom. I'm sorry OP, she took the money and ran. Sorry but there is no excuse for that. He paid, gave her time, politely asked her after that time, she promised it was ready to go, and she then ignored him. That's a damn dick move and we all know it. If you change your mind a custom be a big girl and say so and return the money.

This makes it sound like she does this regularly. It's a regular scam that some models run, and it freaking blows. It's not right to do that to customers, and it often makes the rest of the models look bad.

I suggest anyone regularly visit a model for at least 6 months before ordering anything from them.
That does not mean not tipping her when in her room, but get to know her and judge if you can trust her for a major investment like this.

For future! Ask the model if she has a manyvids to take customs from, manyvids has an escrow system where she won't get the money until she makes the custom- meaning you won't lose the money either. You can also find it on extralunchmoney and I think iWantCustoms. I am sorry for that happening to you. :(
