I read this on another forum I frequent. It is a petition to make MFC follow the rules...What do you all think about it?

I honestly think it is an utter waste of time, and counter productive - and honestly, ridiculous.

1) Girls are forced to break the rules? Really? No, they aren't. They are only forced by their own greed for money. It is their CHOICE.
2) Again, the girls take a risk in breaking the rules. Some appear not to be enforced ever, so the risk is minimal. However, no-one forces anyone to take the risk - it is the girls choice to take said risk. By the way, a girl I like doesn't even strip to undies in free chat, and afaik doesn't ever get nude - yet has a camscore of 5000+ all the time. There is a dual responsibility, it appears that MFC has done far more than nearly any website I've seen in ensuring it is labelled to help parents prevent children from observing the material. Yeah, kids can get around those - but fuck it, I can visit online porn video sites where I just click to watch thousands of videos of girls being fucked by 3 guys all shouting and slapping her ass/face/and calling her all sorts of stuff. What I see on mfc is fucking tame.

4) Oh stfu. Seriously, it's their business - their business model. Don't like it, then gtfo! The girls all choose to work there.

I don't often get annoyed, but seriously... talk about getting all self righteous in trying to tell a company what you think they should do without actually engaging brain. Rules aren't laws, although admittedly some obviously will be to prevent laws being broken - but other than that, if you don't like it, don't visit. Girls aren't forced to break any rules, it's their choice to do so. If it isn't a viable business/job for the model without doing so, then she can quit/leave or move to a plethora of other sites instead. SIMPLE.

That's just my input anyway Yes, MFC could enforce those rules better and fairer to ensure that some really do mean "NO" (man on cam) - but if they do start enforcing EVERY rule, prepare to see every model repeatedly fined

p.s. Do I think it's fair to girls? No But life isn't fair either...but at least this life is a choice for the ladies, and they are free to choose to obey the rules themselves, and are free to leave if they don't like it. I understand concerns about kids seeing the content, but I would simply state it's also the responsibility of the parent more than MFC. Parents need to take responsibility.

Interesting first post. Introducing oneself to a community by asking people to sign a petition is not how I would go about things.

The models I frequent don't break the rules, and they do okay, so I don't have a dog in this fight. I sympathize with the sentiment, but ultimately what happens in free shows is market-driven and if there aren't free shows on MFC, they will happen somewhere else, and I don't think that will help anyone.

I think the MFC owners/admins have more than proven they are not in it to make the members happy; it's all about money for them.

The site I am on that posted this has girls who work many other sites so opinions are different. Yes, a petition to stop the Miss MFC competition. I can't say for sure because I don't know the people behind that petition and I just heard the story, but it was started by a model with support of some members and seems that MFC banned/suspended her because of the petition. So here you have the kind of reply you might get from MFC for starting a petition to change something there.

I just think a petition is silly, unless it includes the top 20's yearly income attached for speaking power. I don't think he thinks the site will get traffic if girls aren't fucking themselves for free as the site name implies. Anyway, my take on it is that it's useless. MFC is what it is. It's revolutionary in the cam world, and the admins are not going to change the way they operate just because people sign a webpage complaining about their actions. (BTW there's a good chance at least one of the admins has read through the multiple posts on this forum about MFC rules and all the folks outraged about them and haven't done a darn thing, certainly more than 25 posts (which is currently how many signatures the petition has.))

But just as we defend people who post useless stuff all over the forums to make themselves feel better, I guess I can see the petition as the same thing. Taking "action" to let off steam about something that irritates them.

idk if this helps or not, but since i've stopped "conforming" i now make almost double what i was making and i make it faster. just saying, i don't even finish my naked countdowns most nights because i'm too busy out of free chat. keep your head up, it's taken me since january to get this down.

No one ever pays attention to me. The donation has nothing to do with the actual petition. If you sign, it's signed and then the website asks for donations to keep it running. It flat out says it doesn't do to the actual petition. It also says it's not required at all.

This means THOUSANDS of dollars not being spent that used to be spent on women on every camsite on the planet.

Anyone who understands business, understands that giving away the product to thousands for FREE, is not good for business and will eventually lead to lower and lower and lower pay for ALL camgirls, since the supply and demand chain is completely screwed.

As proof of what I am saying, notice that all the women who have worked cam for YEARS (I am an old broad and worked it WAY back) can tell you that as the sexual content of free chat increased, the money has decreased. Combine this with the in sane influx of cam models caused by a recession, and you get a supply and demand chain that is now SERIOUSLY lopsided.

So much so, that Streamate has now added Gold and Tipping and is ignoring their rules more and more to keep up with MFC. And so it is spreading and soon the STANDARD will be free shows, and this is the equivalent, in my honest opinion, of the Tube Sites in the porn world.

Secondly, MFC signed a contract with ALL of us, stating there would be a certain environment when we worked. And to make money, many new girls are finding they have to breachthat contract (which lets face it, is absolutely FINE with MFC) to make money or compete.

I strongly believe that MFC wrote the contract and rules the way they did specifically to protect themselves and leave cam models out to dry. As if there is ever law enforcement or major lawsuits, MFC has plausible deniability in saying, we made rules, we tried “our best” to enforce them, and the ladies agreed not to do those things and did them as independent contractors. Therefore I think the hammer will come down on MODELS when it comes down, because MFC has set things up just that way.

Lastly, since MFC is pretty terrible as it comes to minors (they do the netnanny thing, but MOST families don’t have netnanny, most parents suck and don’t supervise their kids, and most kids are latchkey kids now and so we ALL know that kids get on MFC, and every model who has been here a while has had the 13 year old (or whatever) who admits it right out…and I have seen SEVERAL models who ignore it and DON’T ban the person.

So, free pornographic shows bordering on the legal classification of “Obscene” in Federal law in open chat, and minors present. It’s a bad mix, and even if legally we say it is the responsibility of the parents, we as women who do this job, should not be doing the open free shows that truly are harmful to kids. I believe that most folks would not get TOO up in arms about simple nudity as MFCs rules state…But if it ever hits the courts or media that women are using cucumbers as dildos in front of minors, the shot will hit the fan Hard.

For all these reasons, I truly think that the models and customers of MFC (the good customers who understand it is a business and should be treated as one) should band together and force MFC to take a good look at this and do some housecleaning.

If everyone started using MFC mail to mail the women who do these shows and ask them to stop. It would have an effect. If everyone who reads this writes a mail to AdminLeo, it will have an effect. If you write into 60 minutes and tell them you have a story, t will have an effect. The petition is JUST to get the ball rolling.

And there is no charge…once you get to the page where it asks for donations, you already signed it.
