Is there an issue with StripChat emails?

This issue has been raised a few times.

My own issue was around the email notifications on when a model went online - it’s a feature on there that you check a button and receive an email saying the model’s online - and always used to work perfectly, then it stopped.

I contacted support and received this:




Nothing in Junk email or similar. Apparently there could be a limitation in their email notification system?

I’ve seen a few posts about SC emails not going through and I’ve raised it with @Stella_SC already.

Has anyone else had issues with SC emails?

The email notification system has always sucked. I used to get an email about once every 8 hours that some random model I followed was online. I have not got any emails for a couple months now. They want you to use push notifications. it seems. I also used to get notifications on the site when a model I followed came online if I was logged in but that has been gone for over a year now. Now I only get notification if someone sends a friend request, A model makes me a knight, or some special like Halloween is happening on the site.

I used to get those on rare occasion but none for awhile now... Not one email

I reported an issue with not receiving notifications, although it was a loooong time ago, and I gave up pursuing it.
I got a similar response about limitations, and IIRC that was on the number of users who elected to receive the alerts, and the system not being able to handle more than a certain number.
So maybe the notifications become irregular or not at all if the number of followers requesting alerts passes a threshold?

Seems a bit daft for notifications for models/members who are already signed up but then people are reporting here the fact they’re not getting the verification email after signing up.

I’ve tested it and still… nada.

After their big Project Pulse this year you’d have thought this would have been brought up.

It's amazing other sites like CB or MFC can send you a notification for any model you follow that comes online, or a PM but SC can't deliver any.

With the multiple reports of emails not reaching recipients, I'd say they have a problem with the whole email system being limited. Over whatever capacity they are able to send out or whatnot.

Someone highly technical would need to look into it. It's above usual support email peoples' paygrade.
