Holy Hell a Jewelry thread and i didn't start it? i fail. Even so I'm still interested in any and all input here from Amber et al. since its my thing :-D

I've always disliked yellow gold. White gold or platinum, all the way. buh-ling!

I grew up wearing silver but it tarnishes so fast. At this point in time, I wouldn't wear silver anymore.

you need to find the rodium plated silver it dont tarnish anywhere near as fast and is even less expensive then 10k gold also they have those O2 absorbing packets that if you store it with your Jewelry it helps keep it from tarnishing

I don't wear much jewellery but I like gold. I wear a gold watch and ring, plus a friendship bracelet someone made me :)

guess i should include my jewelry tastes while we are at it I dont wear much but i have been collecting loose gems for the past few years and have started making some jewelry pieces for my friends and familly and soon hopefully as a new business I have this really cool Tiger's Eye thats in an almost tooth shape which i found in all my colecting that i ended up having made into a pendent

In order of preference:

Platinum
White Gold/Rose Gold
Silver
Yellow Gold

What no mocha or lime gold? LOL

Do those exist?

Gold comes in three colors: white, rose (pink) and yellow. Rose gold is the most rare and not very well known. White gold is next, followed by yellow gold.

That's the great thing about gold:

you know how you shouldn't mix gold and silver jewelery? You CAN mix the different colors of gold. My mother has a beautiful braided bracelet with all three colors... it's a bit heavy for my taste, since it's ropes of gold braided together, but I'd love a thinner one like it.

oooo, purple...

I know titanium is used in medical purposes for pins joints and such and i have done a bit of research and there seems to be only a 4% occurrence of allergy so being that it is light weight and biologically inert I imagine it would make for good piercings.

I don't wear any, but I saw a link a while back to a titanium/concrete ring or bracelet
looked pretty damn awesome, but is way too expensive

Is it bothering anyone else that this thread went to 3 pages and no one has corrected the spelling from the title? :)

Anyone notice how, no matter how you spell it, the word Jewelry has Jew in it?

Oh. Is this one of those humor vs humour and aluminum vs aluminium and color vs colour deals???

I can't help but say it all sounded out when it's spelled this way.

Joooo ellll errrr eeeeeey.

When spelled normal I say it joolreey. Less syllables.

i didnt start the thread so i didnt see it was my place to say anything however if youll notice when ever i typed the word i used the correct spelling :-D

I would if I remembered what the site was, it's been a year or two so it's long forgotten.

*edit*
quick google search found this site: http://www.e-potpourri.com/index.php/20 ... he-modern/
