I don't think you mentioned the price of tokens for members and what your plans to attract them are.
Get the right models and the members will follow. Price for tokens and spending rate for private shows is pretty much fixed in this industry, to change it either way would be a losing strategy.
We will also be looking to make some merchandise to give to some of our day one models!
Where will your models come from? How many do you have interested? Where will you recruit them? What would make them leave popular sites where they already have regulars?
I would focus on finding quality models.
A very interesting point split camming does affect the member experience even with popular sites. Every time a model does it she risks losing members from the site that she ignores. (One site is always ignored compared to the other.)and since a lot of the most 'quality' models are the girls with the power to split-cam, they might get some of these big name models signing up, but will it be the kind of quality experience users are looking for? multicammers tend to ignore their chat/audience almost all of the time, so having models of that calibre dominating your site might undermine the whole 'camming is a live interactive experience' type appeal.
given that there will be virtually no models at first who don't already cam elsewhere, what would be the incentive for members to sign up to this site instead of the established ones?

Clothing Etc. The investor owns a print and merchandise company so they will be provided to us gratis.like what? (that seems like kinda silly spending)
When MFC started they took models from other sites by word of mouth, and a better share of spending. The models took their top paying members with them. You will have to cover all costs within the industry share for models (or do better for models).
Solve the placement problem/ traffic problems inherent in all current sites and you will have something models are likely to switch for. This will take one serious organic style algorithm linked to your search and purchase functions. In simple terms, the faster paying members can find the right model over a popular one, the better your site will be.
Things such as page placement can then be based on other things, such as which type of member is currently on site, model history with clients, time on, or perhaps even by the look of a room. Whichever of these best helps the search function and purchase rate.
SM doesn't use tokens and it's system works. I think sites want to use tokens because they don't want to try anything new. There's always a better system out there.
Also models don't see how the token system hides their percentage. MFC can say they payout 70% because they don't sell a token cheaper than .06 and the models will always get .05. But what about when members are paying .10 per token, MFC is only paying out 50% at that rate.
You can look at the game companies to see they all got away from a credits system back into cash balances. I see sites eventually doing the same thing. Leaving a token locked at .05 USD might kill you if Trump puts the dollar into any sort of flux. A cash based pool system is adjustable to inflation.
LiveJasmine adjusted their credit rates a few years back. You used to pay exactly $100 for 100 tokens and now you pay $105 or something for 99 tokens. which means the model cut actually lowered on that site.
Models have the option of cam2cam in private.
Models can offer cam2cam in private.
Models can sell content and services.
Awesome.... all I need now is a selection of slim red head models, who jingle when they dance, have a genius gift for photography, offer a range of awesome content, and have a taste for maritime tattoos... entice one of those to your site and I am in.Search functionality is a core point of focus.
is there a non c2c option?
one of the things I like about chaturbate is my CPU overheads are kept low because I only have to worry about streaming my own stream (broadcast up and down (seeing my own broadcast), the PVTs on Chaturbate are all one-way streaming, and only 2-way chat.
what content and services are not permitted? CB for example doesn't allow "soliciting offline payments", yet Amazon wishlists/giftcards are widely offered as a medium for selling/buying underwear, usually listed blatantly like "1000tks or $50". they also have the word 'skype' itself as a covertly blocked word (a message including the word is not sent, and no one is informed that the message wasn't sent).

Yes you can accept C2C but you do not have too.
2. we do such a good job getting people there that despite the extreme effort going into codec tweaking and not exactly going for entry level servers (we went with the largest grade that was available with a standard ISP, so basically the best we could get without building a data center), that we have bandwidth issues .
what I mean is, is there an option to do privates where there's no expectation of you watching them. just them watching you?
I wish mic only was an separate option. I had the only way you can talk to models on sites is through full c2c. But I doubt these guys aren't using the same flashed based two-way system.
might be worth a cash incentive for model of varying hair colours to come month one.
what's your thoughts on the alleged 'bots' issue? (see the CB bots thread on the forum)
if you attract studio models whose behind the scenes people fake their way into the spotlight with a phony audience draining your resources, is there anything in place for investigating and handling that?
It was a joke regarding the very specific requirements that were asked for. Without offering an incentive for every body colour and body type i couldn't guarantee the request that was being made, sorry if the text came off differently. Please tell me this is you being facetious.
not into the games and competitions, and especially not into performing shows in free chat. on streamate i love that everyone who experiences my show, has paid for it. it encourages people to actually participate instead of waiting around for an hour hoping other people tip in so they get a free fap. i don't want to work on a platform when were are encouraged to give free shows.
my two cents.
No model has to perform in public chat. But fairly run competitions are good for the user and the site. WE are offering a variety of platforms including monthly subscription based. But you can comfortably sit fully clothed in a free chat with the premise that any real shows will only be given in private (which is how stream mate works).
