when I first started on MFC, I had a camscore of 352.

I am now at my highest ever, and super close to my long term goal of 2000 cam score! Many people suggested I start over and make a new account, but I was determined to make my way up.

I just want to point out that it did take me YEARS to get there, and a lot of work. Including quitting my vanilla job and focusing on camming 100% for income.

It absolutely can be done.

There were a lot of days I just had to say "fuck cam score" and keep doing my thing. I know it's scary to have a lower cam score, but please don't let it hold you back!

If you need a cheerleader, I'm here.

Also too, not to come across as defensive in any way, but in the 2 months I've been on MFC, i've dropped almost 600 in my camscore, and i'm doing just the same as every other model in MFC. Like I try just as hard, spend just as much time and money, and I get those kinda of results. I think honestly camscore is just a way to only showcase the bigger models who will guaranteed make money for MFC, which is sad.

All of this sounds like an issue, yo. Not the bit about you making less than other models, but the bit where you've fallen in to the trap of thinking that you should be earning the same as or more than, other models. That way of thinking only leads to a vicious cycle (that you may have already been sucked in to) that will affect nearly every aspect of your camlife.

I've seen it happen many, many times, and it never, ever ends well, for anyone involved.

  • Model becomes annoyed that other models earn more than her
  • Model develops sense of entitlement
  • Model convinces herself that rather than needing to change anything about herself, it's the system that's flawed
  • Model comes to resent the site she's working on and the models that are more successful than her and the members that aren't tipping her what she feels she's worth
  • Model becomes consistently negative
  • Members pick up on model's negativity/sense of entitlement/bitterness and tip less and less
  • Model becomes more and more disenfranchised
  • What few tippers model has left gradually lose interest when their tips are followed by model complaining about not being tipped enough on social media
  • Model has no regular tippers left, camscore has tanked
  • Model feels justified in calling the system flawed/the members cheap/the other models lucky and unworthy and leaves site
Not saying that any of that necessarily applies to you, but it's something you definitely want to avoid, innit.

I agree 100%
I was definitely guilty of doing those things my first time around and had to suffer the consequences because of it. It sucked all the fun out of MFC for me because I thought I had to earn 20k every week if I was gonna be worth anything.
It took a lot of growing up to learn that my worth is not measured by how many tokens I have and that I shouldn't be camming period unless I'm really going to enjoy myself. Yes, it's hard work, but if it really effects your self-esteem and makes you bitter, maybe you should try something else

Yeah that's true. I guess it's just stemmed from a long term self-esteem issue. See I was born without one arm, so I've been trying all my life to fit in with society, and be seen as normal. I guess I just get annoyed with MFC because I can't help but blame myself and wonder if it's because of my lack of body parts (for a better description) that is screwing over my cam career. I honestly try and be as positive as possible, but there are just some days that really bite back.

Just reading through this thread I thought of another one I've been working my way through that you might want to read: https://www.ambercutie.com/forums/threads/luck-and-its-role-in-being-a-successful-cam-girl.21836

There is a lot more advice in the Models Only section so definitely get verified and get in there as soon as you can, but search the forum for 'camscore' and see what comes up - there are a couple of really long ones, but scour as many of them as you can and take notes. We can't control our luck but we can control the work we put into things. I think sometimes members like to see a model working hard and putting effort in so even if you are doing so, it can help to try to keep up that appearance with a detailed profile, good photos etc. Some models have the spoiled brat brand down but even that I think must be hard to perfect lol. Just from having a quick glance at your profile, It seems like there isn't anything to tip for specifically - do you have Snapchat or anything like that? It could be worth listing something on there that people can tip towards that isn't just the countdowns :> either way a lot of us on MFC struggle with camscore and it is really slow at the moment so again definitely get thee verified and get to the Models Only section!

On your last comment - I can't say I know what it's like to be born without an arm so I won't pretend to know about that specifically. But whenever I'm reminded of something about myself that doesn't fit the criteria for 'conventionally attractive' I try to remember that there are people who will like those things, or not notice them, or find it cute, or whatever. There will be people who fetishize it as well, which you can choose to work with or not depending on what you're comfortable with. But either way, if it is holding you back, I guess the best thing would be to try to maintain the appearance of that not bothering you. If you manage to gain some regulars, they will get used to it as just something about you like having brown hair. Good luck :>

I hope I don't come across as being insensitive here. It's the easiest thing in the world to comment on someone else's hardships and it's obviously much, much harder to live in that person's shoes. But I have two take-aways here that you're obviously free to take on board or dismiss completely. Firstly, being "normal" is overrated and not something to necessarily aspire to, ya know? That said, you already strike me as being pretty normal, yo. You're a good looking, young girl with aspirations and hurdles to overcome. You have concerns and worries and you have goals. The things you have to overcome present you with unique challenges that I won't even pretend to fully understand. But having unique problems... is not unique. I don't want to downplay your disability - and to be clear, I think you're incredibly brave even trying to cam, and I'm sure there are aspects of your life that are harder than they have any right to be, harder than most of us will ever know - but if your main concern is trying to appear "normal", then you needn't worry. By any measure that matters, you are 100% normal, and it would take a hell of a lot more than the absence of a limb to change that.

I'd also echo what CherryChu says. MFC is in part at least, about standing out. About being noticed amongst a literal wall of beautiful women. If you have something unique to differentiate you from the crowd - and you're comfortable using it to your advantage - flaunt it. You'll attract all kinds of members for all kinds of reasons, and once they're there, it's up to you to figure out how best to monetize that, innit,

There is also an option to hide your cam score on your profile, so then you don't have to deal with members constantly asking "Why is your cam score so low?"

When you go to your Model Admin area, go to where it says "Settings" in green text, and right beneath it click "Model Settings" which is in blue text. Where it says "Privacy," find the section about CamScore. It asks "Display your camscore on your profile?" Select yes or no. Where it asks "Display your camscore on the site when you are online?," select yes or no.

I just wanted to comment- depending on your comfort level, you can use it to your advantage. There is I think a pretty strong community of guys who are into "amputee porn", you can find a lot of clips on Clips4Sale. http://clips4sale.com/list/en/category/705/AMPUTEE
If you decide to make clips, you would likely gain a following that are pretty likely to come find you on cam. For example, a couple years ago I broke my ankle and had a cast. I made some clips and got some followers (because there are very few girls making cast fetish clips) and even though it was a few years ago I still have cast fetish guys looking for me on MFC.. but when I had the cast I had whole group shows full of 10+ people just wanting me to talk about my cast...

My point is, you can absolutely profit off of differences

Another thing you might want to consider if you're comfortable with it is making a video to sell. If you have a few, start out selling one a bit cheaper (I offer a video to ANY tipper of any amount) and think of it like advertising for your work. I often have guys love the super cheap video I send and come back wanting to buy more.

You guys are all awesome, thanks for all your input ❤️ I've decided I'm gonna just plain restart, but start with Chaturbate this time. Then once I get a following and good rep there as well as some content to sell, then I'll move over to MFC. Thanks again you guys ❤️

Cam scores are definitely for big models who do big public shows.

I do small (mostly private) shows for a choice audience...My camscore is VERY low, and I'm a pretty boring young lady, yet I still get a pretty great income from MFC.

Over the years I've collected regulars that understand my boundaries and make it all worth it.
Who cares about camscore?? Worry about your income, health, and customers.
