Layla wasn't saying that ALL camgirls are breaking the law, for god's sake. But that a lot of the girls here are calling the kettle black by talking so much shit on Mila's arrest.. . . when YES, a lot of girls in the UNITED STATES could also be in an arrest situation if they were in a conservative community, had nosy neighbors, or has a landlord that cares enough about it.

Maybe I missed a few posts when I read this the other day, but I thought the majority of camgirl posts were of the 'That sucks that she was arrested for what we all do for a living, I hope she's okay because she's still one of us and I hope her babies are okay' variety. Saying that it was a huge risk/irresponsible to cam from a country where camming is illegal isn't shit talking.

Congratulations! You noticed all the girls in that article had aliases because they're minors! ...Right?

Here, for a light-hearted chuckle. I love the way this paper reports news btw.

http://www.pattayadailynews.com/en/2013/03/18/bad-karma-catches-up-to-lovesick-thai-thief/
A 22-year-old man stole a motorbike in his hometown Nakornsawan province and drove to Pattaya to find his girlfriend. But he was beaten unconscious by hoodlums on the beach, and later confessed to police that he stole the bike.

Mila isn't a minor. Assuming the age of majority is 18 in Thailand, the 17 year old suspect is.

However, it should be noted the the orignal 3 suspects of Thai nationality never had their names or photos released (all photos of them had their faces hidden). And in the next few days were considered 'witnesses' instead of suspects, even though supposedly they failed the presumptive drug test, as well. The original article mentioned all 6 people failed.

It's much better publicity and potential political clout for the police to parade the non-Thai people out to the media and leave the Thai people anonymous.

A more balanced assessment might be that the Thais weren't running the operation and are cooperating in order to provide evidence for the police and reduce their own liability.

I mean, if it were Mila who was the employee then yeah, I could see your point.

The manager of my leasing office DOES know that I cam for a living and when I was still doing hardcore photoshoots, he knew about that too.

And I say try about those things, because if you actually did attempt to report me, the leasing office manager and the cops would just laugh at you after tossing out my old prescription for me and then helping me water my plants.

Summary: Your assumption that all camgirls cam illegally from rented homes is untrue and mildly offensive. Some of us actually do follow the rules: no nudity/masturbation in public chat, no reselling of capped shows, telling our landlords what we do, etc. Some of us actually do care about not partaking in illegal activities just for the record. :twocents-02cents:

Just out of curiosity I looked through my rental agreements. I've rented an apartment at two places in my life so I only have two contracts to look at. Neither mention anything about not running a business in the dwelling. Honestly if it did I'd make them strike it out and reprint the contract before I'd sign. They aren't written on stone. Most apartment managers will do that if you tell them you need that change before you could agree. Actually most things in a rental contract are negotiable. And if they have high vacancy rates at the time they are even more willing to do what you want.

Depending on applicable zoning laws this might actually be illegal (and thereby also void the contract).

If you responded to this thread more then twice, I blame you for the 30 mins it took me to read all of this.

Not one girl is concerned about their local obscenity laws and how something like this could happen to them?
I was always perplexed by the free platform. Especially if I live in the Bible Belt and enjoy fucking my ass. Will I be arrested? If I live in Illioniis and I smoke pot daily on cam and ILLINOIS is not a legal pot state, will I be arrested?

I have a great overall concern if this will start a windfall of investigations. Or if any bitter rivals may attempt to set eachother up. There's a lot at stake doing shows in a free chat..

Anyone know where I should change my location to, ensuring protection from frivolous sex laws?

Finally. Mila. I am a mother of twins. Premature twins... I cannot stress enough how crucial those first few months it was to be there. I took 6 years off after their births... You were my muse untill you got pregnant. At Christmas you said on Twitter that "you already got an offer for their first private".
Joke or not babies are to be protected. Not used as a promotional tool . I hope they offer some sort of rehab over there so when she does get out she can make better decisions for her babies...

There are several acceptable ways of saying it - I'm surprised you didn't notice this when you googled it

Often times it enters into the language of the contract because of zoning laws.

Yes, some of us are actually. Some of us live in/near the Bible Belt and are very concerned for our own safety, children/families aside. :twocents-02cents:

This post is directed to everyone who said that camming in some US states is illegal. When I first considered camming, one of my friends told me it wasn't legal, referring me to New York State obcenity laws. I did a little research (meaning I clicked on the first page google gave me) and found that pornography is not considered obscenity and is legal unless it is made available to minors or exploits minors in any way. I even shot Colleluori an email to verify and while his reply was short, he confirmed that camming is not illegal in NYS.

Whether or not camming is illegal in a state depends entirely on the state's definition of "obcenity". There are a select few states which could prosecute a camgirl but even then with the right lawyer charges would be easily dropped. Hell, just mention feminism and the fact that prostitution is legal in Canada and any jury would be hard pressed to find you guilty.

I think there's a reason we've never heard of a girl being arrested for webcam broadcasting before. It's probably never happened. If anyone were to be charged with a violation of a state's obcenity law, the case would have every liberal and feminist jumping at the throat of the white, male, conservative prosecutor who's probably a porn fanatic himself.

If by some chance the girl's attorney was a dunce and lost the case, the judge would be hard pressed to give a long sentence.

She was arrested for commiting bank fraud, which she got 2 years of probation for. Webcamming is perfectly legal in Romania
Do you have an article to quote that says she was arrested for bank fraud? And she wasn't in Romania when she was arrested. I'm not sure how that's relevant. Not trying to be an arse here, just asking for a bit of evidence here before rumors start.

No, she hasn't been charged with tax fraud because a) she's not actually defrauding the authorities because she's not making an assessable income, she's making an illegal income. It's not possible to defraud taxes using criminal money, at least not the first time through the laundry.

Yes it is. At least here in the U.S.. America has a long established rule that any income is to have taxes paid on it. Failure to report income, even those illegally gained, on your taxes is another crime in and of itself. I could cite statutes but that would be boring, so I'll simply give you two words: Al Capone.

Thank you. As i could not remember which mobster had been caught just for this alone. Which is why US citizen camgirls pay US taxes regardless of if they live out of the country for periods of time. Mila would do the same. She would not need to hide her camming income from Austria where it is legal to do this job.

Actually you have to pay taxes to whatever country you reside in, not the country your citizenship is of.

She resides in Romania and got arrested in Romania.. I'm not sure why you say she wasn't in Romania when she got arrested...it's pretty clear she got arrested in Romania.
Unless you think that the other poster was referring to Mila, which he wasn't. He was referring to JessyRose - who is the girl the linked article was about. :)

Aw, I see! :) Thank you for pointing that out. I was wondering where you were coming from! Milan's post began and ended on Mila and I only glanced at the article but it's not in English. So I assumed "she" was referring to the girl mentioned most often in the quoted post and who this thread is all about. My apologies! What language is the article in, btw? It looks complicated.

A few points:

1. Karma is the belief that when someone does bad things, bad things will happen to that person.

Saying that "Well, she did bad things to the other camgirls by trying to ruin their lives with false accusations, so getting caught camming in Thailand where she already knew it was illegal is Karma" is not a slander on her, it is not an expression of glee, and it is not a joke. It is simply stating the truth as the person stating it sees it.

Yes, I do believe this is Karma.

2. Whether you think MilaMilan is a good person or a bad person, she is still a person. She has good points, yes, but she's no angel. She has bad points, yes, but she's no demon. She's a human being. Everyone makes mistakes. Some mistakes are more costly than others. Her mistake is incredibly costly, and not just to herself, but to her children.

3. I believe the gentleman who said that a mother who cares won't be in the sex industry didn't mean it that way. I believe he simply left out the "where those things are illegal" on his declarations. And while I believe that a caring mother shouldn't do sex-work in a country where it's illegal unless she has no other option (which MilaMilan clearly has other options), I don't beleive that her making the wrong choice means she doesn't care. She obviously cares about these children, if she didn't, she would've had them aborted. Remember- she has an apartment in NYC. That means she has access to abortions if she doesn't want children. (one of the reasons I'm for keeping abortions legal and relatively easy to get is that it means no American child has to wonder if they were wanted. At the very least, their mother wanted them enough to put up with the 9 month pregancy, instead of having them aborted somewhere in the first couple months.)

4. People talking about their personal experiences with MilaMilan is not spreading rumors. If it were, every fact ever is just a rumor. When I say that Mila was slandering BustyAn, it's not because I heard it somewhere. It's because I saw it happen for myself. When I say that Mila was slandering many models, it's because I saw it for myself. The threads in which she did those things are still available to be read here on the forum. In contrast, the threads where she did the good things... well, those are here, but mostly in the model's only section. And all of them were from at least a year before the bad thread.

5. The only connection that we definitively have beteween MilaMilan and money laundering is that she was accusing other models of doing so. That is definitely not any sort of proof that she was doing it herself. That falls under the "wild speculation" and "spreading rumors". I have no clue how taxes work in Thailand. Unless you know how taxes work in Thailand, then anything you say on that matter is pure speculation based on thin air.

For the record, I do not find any of this funny. I think it was bad for her to flaunt her illegal activities so blatantly while she has young children. I do not think she is a bad person, or an uncaring mother.

As I said earlier regarding JessyRose this is malicious and hateful campaign being waged on her by a guy called andrei, current user name v_bellarose.
And yes I will name him because this is not the 1st, 2nd or 20th time he has done this kind of thing.

JessyRose has not/never been charged or convicted of any kind of fraud.
Funny that on a 12 page article Vlad picks a former post that was ignored as having nothing to do with this posting.

cancan.ro can be about as much believed for it's content as Mickey Mouse telling you Tom is dating Jerry.

No way she's getting outta there, the lock's almost the size of her head!

Kudos etc PB but if you think you can do anything to get her out you're being naive. Ask the families of those executed for drug trafficking each year. At first, they usually don't believe this can happen. You step on that soil you are subject to their laws. End of story.
