Chaturbate does A-B testing often, what was the significant update?
complete new design , floating DM icon in your screen , special DM page etc.
you can now sort DM in all / unread / tipped / following / followers

i expect soon all will have it

If they finally added a delete option, then I'm really looking forward to that being rolled out in my location
It is a big improvement. Everything is accessed by a little floating chat bubble in the bottom-right.

Delete was the first feature I looked for and was delighted it's there

Well, that change finally occurred for me overnight. Very pleased to be able to clear out that DM inbox now!
Thanks Chaturbate developers.
(Only other comment I'd make is that the floating DM button now sits directly over the 'send' button on the bottom left of my screen, so I keep opening the DM window by accident when trying to send a message.
Sure, I can resize my window to relocate the 'send' button, but it's in the optimum screen scaling already).

Cleared out the DM box with updated DM features. I seldom get them now as most were repeat offenders. Wish you could move or close the floating button, sure you can use the enter button to send messages in chat but it seems daft to have the buttons on top of each other.

You can always send support a message with screenshots of the floating button. That will probably help fix that issue if it gets reported.

Hopping on this months later (and don't hate me for it) but I finally got my peeps complaining about random models (not even relevant rooms lmao) DM'ing them as soon as they tip me (sometimes without even tipping). Did tell them to change their DM settings, but... it's rather aggravating having multiple people telling me this on a weekly basis and I'm like "I knoooow.....we all knooow... nuffin I can do about iiit....". Is this related to Fanberry in any way I wonder? Or is it a feature I'm missing?

Can't really add anything, but yes I've also noticed that these DMs seem to begin as soon as you send a tip (maybe there is a min amount that triggers it though, IDK).
When the new site DM feature first appeared, the messages always seemed to come from an account that was in the same room (i.e. appeared in the user list), but lately it's automated and the sender account never appears in the room - guess it's just another bot function.

I've noticed a sharp increase in random models DMing me. To be fair, cold calling is the least effective means of marketing with me. The biggest pain with it is that sometimes I go to the popout DM panel to delete them and forget that it can take you out of the room you are in. Some of these messages are just the worst drivel and are definitely automated. Most of them do nothing more than open the conversation by saying my username.

On SC models can only message you if you’ve been in their room, right?

I just ignore if I don’t want to engage further - not a hindrance, really 🤔 certainly nothing to complain about or mention to another model unless a member wants the model to know ‘how popular they are’, for whatever reason.

I haven't experienced this at all, but maybe because I stick with only 2 models on CB.
I only visit one room, and I get these DMs regularly - usually about 4-5 every hour. A while back I was getting them when offline, hence this thread, but that seems to have stopped. But definitely seems to be linked to tipping over a certain threshhold.
I just avoid opening any messages until the show has ended, then I go in and ignore all the senders.

Well my last tip to one model was $450 (for what she got - 9,000 tokens), so i think that is big enough(?). Although this was in a password show so yeah they would not have seen that. But she is a small no-nude room, maybe that could also be why? Or maybe because I always keep as a Light Blue on CB, I couldn't care less about being purple and flashy.

Most likely because of the password show. My room is small, also non-nude, and my fellas get the randoms even from 1tk... Password shows & private tips won't count, but I still can't figure out WHERE the other models see who tipped who...

I don't get nearly that many, but it is annoying as hell. I always report the sender for spam before blocking. If they've put me in a real foul mood I'll visit to tell them I have reported them for spamming and soliciting in another model's room.

You're technically harassing them by doing that, don't do that. I'm not in support of the feature itself but I don't want you to get banned for being hotheaded.

To be fair, there's a lot of fuss here about nothing and certainly nothing worth getting banned for harassment for. We've all been receiving spam emails in our inbox for years now. This is no different. Just delete and move on.

I'm harassing them by reporting them, or by telling them I am reporting them? That seems kind of odd... however, I've only done it twice maybe and I'm not a total ass; I usually do it in a tip note 😉

As far as I know nothing happens most of the time because most of the time they don't say anything that will get them in trouble. If they say it in such a way that it's obvious spam then yeah but as far as I know they don't do anything for generic greetings.
