Most common reason for geoblocking?

All my friends know that I'm doing this but I don't want a random barista in my city yelling something about me sucking a big dick so I prefer geolocation. More safe. People from my country doesnt spend much money on porn so not a big deal.
I'm thinking about changing this at least in Streamate because of the traffic.

I blocked my entire country (Canada) in the beginning because of security reasons. I didn't need random old friends or family finding me shaking my booty for tokens on the internet.

In 2012, the government investigated my taxes on a deeper level and because I had all of Canada blocked, it saved me oodles of cash and time because I did not have to separate which tokens originally came from Canada and which did not. I am still not 100% sure why this is, but I keep all of Canada blocked on my accountant's advice. I may be missing out on some tokens but life is super simple come tax time.

I block my home state. My family knows and (sort of) supports me, but I'm also quite politically active and I don't want to lose credibility with those in the community that have political power. Some of my friends know, and I'm pretty sure the rest of them wouldn't care.

Home state blocked and I wish it was bullet proof. Also a few more stated because my family is very religious.

But if they find out the very first thing I told my lifetime partner to tell to whoever is pointing fingers at me(or us because he is my partner in crime:smug:), is to ask...

So what the hell where you doing in this type of website to begin with the finger pointing and slut shaming?

That pretty much shut up the judge mental people. Don't judge if you don't want to be judged.

Simple like. That. ;)

Are they Mormon?

I geoblock so I don't get seen - not so much for my family we aren't that close but for my day job. I am the only female in here and just the thought of 'my guys' as I call them creeping on me is too much :( lol.

I geoblock one state because I have A LOT of family from that particular state. But, somehow, I don't even think they would notice. I'm kind of introverted as well, so I would be surprised if anyone noticed me. I'm not going to do it on SM though because it would affect my earnings.

Dunno if this is an ongoing joke but they are somewhat. But I'd be wondering why they're on such as site lol.

@Guy, sweetheart, I know that you're just trying to make some connection between anti-pornography people and religion, but this thread is not about the relation between pornography and religion. This thread is about why girls geoblock. Hell, you're the one who started it!!!!! But every time someone responds, you're going totally off-topic by asking if the people they're talking about are religious. STAY ON TOPIC. If you really want to know if their family/friends/coworkers/Great Aunt Edna are religious, then make a separate thread for that.

If you went into a restaurant, and the waitress tells you about the burger special, you wouldn't then ask if she's ever been to a zoo or milked a cow, would you? No, because that would be silly.

Yes, restaurants have food. Some of that food comes from animals. There are animals in a zoo. Hamburgers come from cows, and cows have milk. But these subjects do not go together in that context. I implore you, Guy; please, please, PLEASE don't ask these asinine questions that are extremely off-topic in the wrong threads. Make a separate thread about whichever subject you want to know, that way this thread (and the others) can stay streamlined and easily-understood.

Is the waitress religious?

Don't want to be found "irl", surely that's the most common reason?

Can just imagine the conversation over Christmas dinner... "Pass the gravy please dear daughter-in-law? by the way, nice squirting skills..." muahahaaa XD

Though I am still newer to camming, I have already been spotted by someone I know because I didn't use geoblocking. It was a friend of my ex who has always liked me. He didn't out me in the room thank god but it makes me a little worried. I've thought about geoblocking my room but I do have a lot of guys from my state coming into the room who may become future tippers. I'm kind of a hermit (agoraphobic), I've moved from the suburbs to the middle of nowhere (rural-suburbish town) where finding me should be hard but probably not impossible. Would you recommend geoblocking at the risk of income loss? I've lived in PA my whole life. I just moved from one county to the neighboring county.

I blocked UK, Hong Kong and Taiwan. For me, MFC is my weekend job (I do it mainly for fun); I work full time in graduate level job therefore I prefer to keep my real life and internet life separate. Honestly, I think if I didn't block those three regions I would definitely make a lot more since there are so many high paying members from UK.

I actually don't geoblock. I figure there are SO many ways around it that it's not worth my time. Also, it could cut into a lot of potential income. I only have a few very close friends/family, so if someone did find out by being on MFC, they'd be just as culpable as I am!

I guess the only thing I REALLY worry about is someone coming up to me off the street, but I haven't heard of that happening too much (especially with newbies like me!) so I think I'm good.

Is your dad religious?

Not at all, still not something he want's to see his little girl doing :/

Well, most parents will consider their child a failure (and themselves a failure) if they find out they do sexwork, no matter how much money the child makes or how happy he or she is. They would rather have you legally rob people as an insurance agent or bank employee, or screw people legally as a cooperate lawyer..

This has got to be the most realistic statement ever.

Personally, I usually geoblock my personal state and then tell others that I'm from a different state. It's to protect the model's identity so that the horrible things can't happen to us.
