I chose Personal Reasons because it's vague yet can be serious. I don't like it because it's vague so a poor liar wouldn't have a response to any further probing about the personal reasons and might come up with something stupid. My secound choice would have been "Busy working long hours in order to obtain money for tips." because even though it has a bit of the cheesey factor, it's pretty likely that many of us have done it before.
As for the shocking happening in the room... I reckon you're in the wrong room if you're hanging with Amber and get shocked easily. I mean... she attracts people like Jawbs. That should tell you everything you need to know about why I have that opinion.
