I am looking to buy a tablet for my work (need word processing), but my second reason is gaming. I am planning to go with Android and leaning heavily toward an ASUS Transformer Book. Now I am VERY tech unsavvy and am a bit worried about making a mistake with my purchase. I have been reading that tablets with Intel chips may not run some apps. Anyone here have this tablet? I REALLY want to get Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition from the Play Store, but I am unsure if it will run. Google has not been very helpful.

Anyone know about these tablets and whether there really is an issue with apps?

PS: I already know choosing a tablet for a single game is dumb.

PPS: Sorry for the jumbled mess of a post. Hope it actually makes sense.

You can play games on a tablet but gaming is not possible.

 took me a second to digest that. Noted

And yeah, that's what I meant :P

Been reading SO many articles on app compatibility and I am no wiser

I'd check through the reviews on Play first. I don't play mobile games myself, but if there are complaints about an app having a lot of problems running on people's devices, I don't get my hopes up.

Wish I had thought of this. There are obviously many other apps I hope to run, including for my work, so I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a paperweight
