Okay, didn't know where to post this question, but figured this would be the best forum. I've asked this in MFC Lounge, of course I get blasted with rude comments left and right for a simple question. Hoping that another MFC member/model could answer this. I've seen people use emotive expressions which on the chat screen it would be like: *<Person's name> makes a silly face at you. Can't for the live of me find anywhere the command to do that :? . Hopefully, my question makes sense. Thanks all.

:hello2:
If you're talking about how its in thin line italics and not chat text,
yah i know what you're taking about but I don't remember how to do it...
One of those 'if ya don't use it ya lose it' things.
I'm sure one of these fine folks will tell you the process.

Yeah, I don't know why I can't remember that code. lol There's something similar in AOL's chat rooms and IRC "channels," but I've always forgotten to write it down. :)

Type it exactly like this, except... ya know... yer own message.

{*emote*}makes a silly face at you

I can't recall if a space is needed after the } before what you want it to say.

I always wanted to know how to do that.

Well see, this would translate to:

SoTxBob JJ to the rescue

Doesn't quite make sense. An emote means it's an action by the person typing it. So

{*emote*} does a silly dance

Would translate to:

AmberCutie does a silly dance

So if you use it correctly it can be cute, but if you use it incorrectly, it sounds sorta weird.

Hey ! Maybe I wanna be weird... :tongue3:
But ok, I wasnt thinking in those definitive terms for the reply but ...

{*emote*} said JJ to the rescue.....
:-D

Cool chocolate covered beans! Thanks all for the command :thumbleft: . I would have never expected the command to be that! Now to think  of cool little things to use as emotive actions in the rooms!
