recommendations for a small remote/keyboard

So today I stole my little Rii i25 remote with keyboard from my bedroom HTPC.... It was way nicer than using my wireless logitec keyboard with the trackpad built in (that classic almost full size one from 15 years ago that everyone still uses today). I want to get one specific for camming now, but I couldn't stand the keyboard on the one I have. It was super mushy and typing was slow af. I'm looking for recommendations for something that still has the air mouse but types nice. I remember the first batch of smart phones had full slide out keyboards on them and I could type pretty quick on them, I'm looking for something that feels sort of like that. Not looking for a full size wireless keyboard but one of those modern cheap things thats like the size of a tv remote. What do yall use and what do you like about them?

ps. I have tried an old smartphone before and put an app on that controls the pc and uses the touchscreen keyboard but my hands have lube on them a lot of the time and well yeah touchscreen yata yata.

I use what I assume is the same logitech keyboard, or some random mech keyboard I picked up becuase they stocked it on the wrong shelf and I was like "that's a good deal" no, it wasnt it was 3x more than the tag they had it in front of (went back in after and they stacked the entire shelf infront of the wrong tag).

I think most of the remote style keyboards have the mushy key problem, aliexpress has 100's of them in different styles and you can normally pick them up for like $5-$10 so might be worth ordering a few different types if you dont find something else.

The HTC Dream / G1 would be basically what you are looking for I think, physical slide out keyboard and a track ball but it's so old ( I think it was the first android phone) that I doubt any of the apps that connect to the pc would run and I doubt you could get it up to date enough with a custom rom either.

Yeah, I have a feeling I'll be trying a few different ones before I find one I like (if). It's almost perfect as I don't have to have it sitting on anything to type on it, just those mushy keys are SUPER MUSHY lol I'll be reading some reviews and such over the next few days before I order another one or two. So far the ones people online are saying have more tactile keys look like they still have that same material old tv remotes use for their buttons. Maybe I'm being too picky lol it's just if a small cell phone from 2010 can have more tactile keys, why not a remote?
