Hi everyone,
I’m posting to request help escalating a recent ban on my account, Viviandela97.
The ban notice says I violated the guideline against broadcasting television shows or movies, and that broadcasters should only broadcast themselves and/or content they created and 100% own.
I want to be honest about what happened. I had YouTube videos playing in a small portion of the screen while my main broadcast was still focused on me. I was not playing a television show, movie, Netflix/Hulu/streaming-service content, or anything I understood to be a film or TV broadcast.
At the time, I misunderstood the rule as being specifically about TV shows, movies, or streaming-service content. I did not realize that any third-party YouTube video visible on-screen could be treated the same way, even if it was small, casual, and not the focus of the broadcast.
After reviewing the terms more carefully, I understand that Chaturbate expects streamed content to be original or content the broadcaster owns or has the legal right to share. I accept that I should not have had third-party YouTube videos visible during my broadcast.
That said, I am asking for a manual review because I believe this was a misunderstanding of the scope of the rule rather than intentional piracy, intentional rebroadcasting of movies/TV, or an attempt to pass off third-party content as my own. The ban notice specifically referenced television shows or movies, and that is not what I was broadcasting.
If reinstated, I will keep my broadcast limited to myself and content I personally create or fully own. I will not display YouTube videos, reaction videos, music videos, movies, shows, or any other third-party media on-screen again.
I’m respectfully asking that the account be reviewed manually and that the penalty be reconsidered as a warning or temporary suspension instead of a permanent ban, especially because this affects my ability to access earned tokens from work already performed on the platform.
Thank you to anyone who can help escalate this or advise on the best way to request a manual review.
