hello, after several months following a Russian model, I realized that your system shows different chats depending on the language localization chosen by the user.
in my case, I followed the chat on https://it.bongacams.com/name_model, the banner of the tip menu, the messages of the model and very few messages appeared, while on https://rt.bongacams.com/name_model the public chat contained a lot of messages from users of that localization, which were not shown in the Italian localization.
in practice, in the public chat, the messages of the active users in the Russian localization are not shown in the Italian chat and vice versa, the messages of the Italian one are not shown in the Russian one.
I looked in the FAQ but I didn't find this specific information, can you tell me about the documentation that deals with this topic?
thank you.
___________________________________________________________________
has anyone already noticed this fact?
how can this be explained?
maybe, they didn't impose the official language in the chats and so they had to keep chats with different alphabets separate?
thank you.

As I figured out, the sorting system is tied to the users' location. So, on the first page, you see the models from your country if such models are online. Also, you see the models who have specified in the profile your country language. Further are placed all other models.
On my end (I'm the model) I can see all messages no matter what language is the message. Not sure how messages displayed on the users' end.

the question arose because there is a user on the Italian localization (and, I think, on other "Latin" locales, but I am waiting for bonga's answer) who keeps trolling the model, but in practice only she and I see the messages of the troll, while all the other (hundreds) "Russian" users, including the moderator, do not see them.
then the model asked me why only she and I saw those messages, I did two tests and I understood ...
therefore not even the models know that their chat is not the same all over the world (as on CB) but it is split into different branches not communicating with each other and dependent in some way on the localization of the users.

i dont think that's something new. i've noticed it a long time ago in chat bots. you can add show prices for different languages and prices will be shown differently for members from different countries. it seems that's a feature, not a bug.

Hello, blackuser!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Our system is indeed configured in a way that certain messages are not displayed in the chat for customers accessing the site from different regions. This is implemented for a more convenient use of the website for members who speak in different languages.
Please, do not hesitate to contact our support team in case of any additional questions or concerns.

I’m curious how Bongacams determines which languages a specific customer should not see.

Example: I’m in North America and my first language is English. However, there are numerous different languages spoken where I live, and a large number of our citizens are bilingual (or at least literate enough in a second language to have a basic idea what’s being discussed in a chat).

In my case, I wouldn’t want Bongacams to decide for me that I shouldn’t see Spanish language chat messages (just for one example). It’s not my first language but I know the basics. And even if I didn’t, I would still want to see all messages so I can decide for myself if I want to read it (even if via translator).

If I see a lot of messages in a language I don’t speak, I would still want to see them. At least then I can make my own decision if I want to translate it and follow along. I can’t think of a situation where I would want the website to make that decision for me.
Just my opinion as a customer.

as far as I understand, also given my explicit request, there is no documentation on the site that deals with this topic, so I would make an attempt to deepen here while waiting for official documentation or indications on site.
can you be more specific when you say:

?

do you have a list, table, graph, diagram etc. where are "standalone" chats represented?

or, in the upper right corner of the portal, I see these flags
Senza nome.jpg
is it understood that each of these flags, with the languages and / or countries it represents, has an "autonomous" chat, that is, only and exclusively the users logged in that localization can write / read messages in the public chat? clearly, all the messages of the model are visible in all chats and equally clearly all the messages of all the "autonomous" chats converge on the model's screen.
moreover, are these chats "autonomous" only from the linguistic point of view, or can the model decide on price ranges, menus, initiatives differentiated by country?
thank you regards.

Hello, blackuser!

We do not have a separate section showing information about different standalone chats. In regards to flags in the top right corner of the site, they only represent different languages that our site is available on.
Our goal is to make each member feel as comfortable as possible while using our website, and our system works using a fixed algorithm to ensure the best user experience for our customers.
Please, do not hesitate to contact our support team in case of any additional questions or concerns.

Thank you!

I have just been appointed moderator in a room and a question immediately arose related to this subdivision of the chats: if I am logged in on the English chat, I do not see and therefore I cannot moderate the messages of the Russians and vice versa if I log in on the Russian one I do not see the messages of the English one. logging into both chats is impossible because the system keeps only 1 chat logged in, i.e. the one logged in last. how do we get out of this inconvenience?

Hello, blackuser!

For moderators, messages in the chat are displayed in the same way as for regular members.
In case of any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact BongaCams support team.

yes, I had understood this even before thanks, in fact I was asking how a moderator can moderate a room divided into several chats (we do not know how many, as you have not provided documentation) separated by language, if he, like other regular users, sees only the messages of the chat in which he is logged in.
I do not know if I have expressed myself correctly, as I have the impression that I have not been well understood ...
I give an example: if a troll starts to annoy the model in the English chat and the moderator is logged in the Russian chat, he does not see the troll's messages, only the model sees them, who in addition to being annoyed by the trolling must also moderate the user, and this is to the detriment of both the model's and the moderator's work.
thank you regards.

Hello, blackuser!

At the moment moderators can only moderate messages in the chat which they are logged in. Usually, models have several moderators in their chat rooms, which allows them to be able to see messages in different chats.
We will definitely forward your feedback about this function to our specialists for consideration.

Thank you.

yes, but the models themselves DON'T KNOW that bongacams splits the chats by language, because on the site there is no info about it, so IF (and I say IF) they notice it, it is because they begin to be insulted in a language that it is not theirs (or it is theirs, I did some tests, writing in Cyrillic in the English chat, the message is shown in the English one and NOT in the Russian one), they ask for explanations to the moderators and they, not seeing those messages and not knowing themselves about the split chats, they think that the model is crazy or that she has some problems with her pc, or that private messages arrive to he.
in short, a big mess ...

I quickly figured this last week when I started streaming w Bonga. There are too many languages in Europe, so it's more convenient for them I guess? I don't know if this is big of a problem tbh.
