It happens every time on mine Jessi. The jumping up and down. I just instead hit the Tab then V button and it auto takes it as a video file so i can upload then and not have a jumpy screen.

This is odd. There's nothing special about that form input, it's just a standard HTML item. What browser/OS are you guys using?

Chrome, like many MFC models (our browser only 'officially' works in chrome).

Video upload issue seems to be working now btw!!

Good news about the upload bug.

It's odd that you'd have an issues in chrome. It's pretty much the main browser we test against, and I've never seen that issue before. Did you try clearing your caches?

I did and it still happens. It doesnt seem to be a function issue it just *looks* spazzy and weird

Do you girls use two screens?

I know that when I use a browser on my second screen, the drop-down auto-select for web addresses doesn't work, even though it works fine on my main screen... (not site-specific, it's just in general, drop-downs don't show up on my second screen, but I can still select from them, so I have to be very careful about where I click)

Attention:

We pushed an update that replaces the regular code creation pages with popovers so you don't have to bounce between so many pages. We'll be doing this to as many pages that it makes sense for.

Sorry for the post spam, but we added another feature I didn't think we'd get to tonight (or I'd have waited to push the first one).

Promo Codes:
You can now create a single code for one file that can be redeemed multiple times (you specify how many) up to 100. This is good for posting things like a trailer or sample vid on twitter or any other public site. To access this feature choose "Promo Code" from the site menu.

Promo Codes show up in the "My Codes" section with all your regular codes, but look a little different. Instead of "Code" it says "Promo Code" and instead of "Number of Files" it says "Remaining Uses". We will clean this up so they are easier to identify and track in a future update.

I signed up yesterday, before I read the whole thread.

I have the drop box "shivering" too (chrome user).

And I don't have many photosets or videos at all so for me the model of buying ticket would be the "best" option for me.

I'm new to modeling and have been using this site so much as a resource that I decided to make an account.. so that's why my profile isn't set up yet.

Anyways, I love love love that somebody decided to make a site like this. It's exactly what I was looking for to be able to share videos with my clients.

Just reporting that when using the promo code feature in Chrome: I click the dropdown to choose the file, and it just flickers over all the options instead of letting me pick one. :)

Is this what you other ladies were talking about, too?

Yes. But i've been able to choose on, it's just irritating.

Emergency Maintenance
Please read if you are a user of our site.

As some of you may have noticed we have had some serious performance issues of late. This is due to the unexpected and immediate huge influx of traffic as a result of Mediafire cracking down on cam model content. We deeply apologize for the issues this may have caused, and are going to fix it ASAP. Long story short, our virtual host cannot handle the massive influx of new traffic. We will be migrating to a dedicated host over the course of the next two days. Unfortunately, in order to do this we will need to shut the site down for up to 48 hours. The process is pretty manual, and pretty slow. We will need to download the 175GB of content that was uploaded to our virtual server, and then re-upload it to the new server (the downloaded copy of all of this content will be deleted as soon as testing is completed) on top of migrating the actual website code, and testing functionality. In order to accomplish this, we cannot have any changes made the website while we are actively working on it. As a result the site will go down for maintenance tomorrow at 2PM EDT. The site will be down for up to 48 hours (but we hope to get it done as fast as humanly (or digtally) possible).

Our new server will be physical, and dedicated to *only* our website. It will have almost triple the memory we have currently, 4 times the processing power, 6 times the amount of storage, and 5 times the bandwith allocation. As a result the filesize limitation will be increased to 2GB, and we expect to see *HUGE* performance increases. The downtime is a huge inconvenience and we apologize, but the site is borderline unusable on the current web host, and this change is absolutely vital to getting the site back into a stable state. You can follow us on twitter @camredeem to keep up with updates about how the maintenance is going, and our best estimates as to when it will be back up and running. I will also post here when we finish the migration to let everyone know the site is back up.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we think the end result will be well worth the downtime.

a model can pretty much do all that stuff on her own with out any special services. Sure it might take a little extra time and effort you always own your own content. You can generate dl links that have time and/or dl limits. You can mass watermark photosets with sequential numbers so you know who got what set (and trace it back to that person if you see it posted online) etc

This would be a really cool feature to have. If it watermarked the picture with the d/l code, you could go through your links you sent and see who you sent that one to...

But then what? So you know who's sharing your content to the web... Maybe you tell the guy off, and report him to MFC, and the website the content is on. Oh well, now 500 more people have already downloaded those same images/videos before they werer taken down and are uploading them to more places. :woops: It only serves as a little keeps-you-honest device, but a dishonest person will be dishonest regardless.

This is true. All this does is piss off the legitimate paying customers who are stuck with watermarks in their photos. There really isn't any easy legal recourse for content piracy. All you can do is try and make it a little more annoying to distribute. Not being able to just post a link on a forum will probably reduce it by a large margin in and of itself.

While this may be true, you clearly do not know any models. Try mass watermarking photos and manually creating DL links while in the middle of a show. Oh, and 5 people just bought all of your 15 videos so you have to do that for each and every video for each and every person. This is simply a hassle to do while you have 200+ people watching your every move. We built this service around the idea that the above scenario could be handled in a few mouse clicks. I don't understand the resistance by guys in this thread to the service we are trying to offer. We're not even charging yet, and I will be spending a significant amount of my own money this week to migrate the site to a much more expensive dedicated web host so our customers get the level of service we want to provide. I generally ignore comments like this, and maybe it's because it's so late, but I find it insulting for someone to come in here and say "why waste your time using this, you can just do it yourself" when my team and I have invested a few hundred hours of our time, and a lot of my money into what is essentially a free service at this point.

Please go make your own thread with your pearls of wisdom.

PS: Sorry for the lack of professionalism in this post, but I think it's just bubbled over from all the "just use dropbox" comments when most of these guys have no idea how our site even works. The model community here has been extremely supportive and constructive. Please do not think this is directed at any of you :).

As purchaser of quite a few of camgirl videos, I have been frustrated with the process of downloading video on several different services most recently mediafire. Since most services T&C don't allow porn it has always been tricky for camgirls to stay ahead of the censors. I have experienced using your site to download videos, and while it wasn't perfect it was a significant improvement compared to most services, especially the download speed. Good luck on the always painful migration and rest assure that some of us members along with the models appreciate what you are doing.

I didn't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been suggested.

I think it would be nice to have a "copy to clipboard" button on the page that says, "Give your customer the link below to download their file(s):"

I don't know if that's even possible. And it's not like it's THAT hard to highlight and CTRL+C. :)

As a new user to your site, I have to say I really like it! :D All the members who've bought stuff from me have had such an easy time using it. I only had one complaint, but I didn't do anything. I just sent him the same link, and it miraculously worked. I think it was user-error. ;)

I agree with you, and don't worry about the skepticism of some members. You created the site for MODELS, and what's important is that most of the models using Cam Redeem find it useful and are happy with it. With so many NON-adult friendly sites (MediaFire, PayPal, etc.) out there, it's nice to actually have a site which doesn't have a stick up its ass about sex...lol. THANK YOU again for this service.

For what it's worth from a 'video buyers point of view' cam redeem seems to be one of the better ones I've run across for downloading videos. So far it's easily clickable to get to it. No waiting period after I click I want to download and it telling me i can actually start downloading. I've not been inundated with really obnoxious ads (I'm guessing you'll probably do some after the Beta is over. Please try to keep them not too annoyingly placed). And you've got one of the better download speeds I've run across. Many of the other hosting sites throttle the speed, which means that half gig HD vid takes 3 hours to get. :angry4:

Since your responding in this thread I'd like to ask you a question I've been curious about. Scenario: I start the download of a file. Since Chrome (or other download managers) have taken over I no longer need that tab open. So I shut down that webpage. If the download gets interrupted will I be able to click the link again and restart the download? Will the website recognize the download had not completed or will it block me because that code has already been 'redeemed?'

Will I be able to do that if the webpage itself is still open?

I've been curious about this because I've always been worried this would happen mid-download. I would hate to have to bother the model again for a new code and explain all this.

ps: by 'really annoying ads' I'm specifically referring to those jackass ones that look like you should click that button to download the file but really it just wants to install ilivid software. HATE those. I get pissed when I see those. Also annoying popups whenever i click anywhere on the page. And then those popups can't be shut down unless I click on another box asking if i'm sure i want to do that.
So far your site doesn't have those. I applaud that. If you do get them in the future I will bitch about it publicly here and to everyone interested in hearing. Just to let you know. ;)

If you redeemed as a guest, and it's within 24 hours, the code will work again from the same IP address it was redeemed from originally. If you create an account you will have access to the files forever (or until the model deletes them from our website).

Maintenance Starting Now

We anticipate the site will be back up on the new host within 24 hours. We are doing a direct server-server copy so it should go faster than we originally planned.

We will update on twitter @camredeem and in this thread when the maintenance is complete.

Maintenance Complete!

We are now live on the new webserver. It may take an hour or so for the site to start loading for you (when you point a website to a new server it takes some time for it to show up in different parts of the world). We've done some testing, and feel things are functioning normally. Please let us know immediately either via this thread or on twitter if you see any new issues since the change has been made.

Thank you so much everyone for your patience. We understand that the site being down literally cost some of you money today, and we deeply apologize for that. Unfortunately, the site was so unstable the past week that we had to take drastic action to prevent it from going down in flames on the old server. You should see speed increases across the board, especially if you've been experiencing the crushing slowness that's been plaguing the site the past week or so.

Thanks again everyone for your patience.

 Still praying for multiple code/file deletion.
I have 319 codes to delete, and it will take 3 clicks to delete each one.
319 codes, 3 clicks = 957 clicks.
Plus the two seconds it takes for the codes page to load again :( Sure its not a lot of time out of my day but it still feels tedious.

A couple useful things I noticed during my 24-hour use of Sendspace:
- Optional code expiry
a) Delete this code on [date]
b) Delete this code after [#] downloads
c) Delete this code expire after [#] hours
d) If code is not used by [hours/date] [#] delete

This way we could have some codes delete themselves instead of having to go back and do it.

We should also be able to see how long unredeemed codes have been sitting there for. When paid version comes availible it will be a waste of tickets to have unredeemed codes lying around for weeks.

We will have something like this before the site leaves beta. Also, there will be an unlimited plan that will make sense for most models. In fact we may be able to keep the cost low enough that we abandon the ticket idea completely. We do like models who don't sell many videos having the option of not having a recurring charge though so we will probably not go that route. We will also be removing the ability to delete redeemed codes. This function really serves no purpose other than introducing the risk that someone doesn't get what they paid for. Admittedly the "my codes" section needs the most love right now, but it will be getting it.

I'm just wondering why it keeps auto-logging me off. I uploaded a video and it took forever. After I tried to pic the thumbnail it auto logged me off. It was just annoying more than anything. :/

I did some looking into this, and adjusted the session length. It shouldn't be an issue going forward.

This is something that I would find really useful if it were possible.

When I sell videos I have different groups. There are 7 vids which I sell together, then there are another 5 I sell together and then there are 3 which are together. I do sell them separately, but when I'm on cam I want to quickly send the vids. If I could have them in groups so I have the option to send all of those videos together, so I click on the group and all the videos go into the second box where it shows how many tickets there are it would greatly save on time. I always worry that I'll make a mistake in my haste and send the wrong videos as I have to look for them to send them.

Not sure if that made any sense... but yeah, it would be an extremely useful tool and would make life a LOT easier! :)

Another thing I wouldn't mind would having an option to leave myself logged in on my computer. No one else goes on my laptop so it'd be great if I didn't have to type in my password every time. It may sound lazy but literally the faster I can send out vids means the less time I'm distracted in public chat!

edit to add: Other than that I'm loving using it as a site, have had absolutely no complaints from members, it's ridiculously easy to work, would recommend it to anyone!

Knowing that some models have sold videos on streamate using mediafire links, I asked about this site.

The response was

Bottom line, these two rules MUST be followed:
1. No exchange of personal information (no private emails, no #s, no
addresses)
2. Do not take the member off site

So, if you are selling pics and sending them through our mail system or
giving out direct download links for videos, that is okay. However if
either of the above rules are broken, a suspension/termination and forfeiture of earnings may occur.

What I'm getting from that, is that the member needs to be able to click the link and have the download happen automatically... so, not sure if these would fall within the rules.

I don't know if any ladies here have tried selling videos through streamate using camredeem. If you have, please let me know? Personally, I can't risk my place on streamate to try this without knowing other ladies have been successful. I'm pretty sure they'd give a warning, but I'm not entirely sure...
