Hello, this is a collection of some advice for small rooms on CB (and other), for models who just started or rooms that stay on one of the last pages of CB.
How do I know? I have been on cb for quite some time and I tip a lot, whenever I have fun. I am not an expert for managing sex work, I am not a professional coach, just a normal guy with some psychological insight (from my profession) and I know I am not unusual. Thats why I mostly describe my own experience.
You may think it is important to have many visitors and then some of them will tip. And it seems to be true because on the first pages you see popular rooms with 1000s of visitors at the same time and they get a lot of tips. But most visitors of these rooms (likely 95%) are grey or anonymous and even most of the others are not tipping. Most of the visitors of these rooms are young and they are out for free show. They scroll around on the first or second page till they find a nude model they like to jerk off to. But they will mostly look for models or couples who are naked and doing stuff they can watch for free. There are lots and lots of these visitors.
But what can you do to still get some tips, even if your room is not on the first few pages of CB? Actually you don’t need all these thousands of guys in your room, you need just a few visitors with tokens, who stay with you for a while and send you tips or maybe even go private with you. And you want them to visit more than once, become your regulars. These are usually older generation guys, older than 50. They typically don’t want just a quick masturbation show, they are out for some sort of relation to the model. They want to be seen as a person, not just as a moneybag. They want the illusion that you like them and that you want to please them personally. That’s why verbal or written communication is so important, not just the show. And if these guys have that (illusion of a) relation they will tip for the show and if they liked your show, they come back to your room in the future and tip you over and over again.
Most of these guys want (the illusion) to be in control. They tip because that gives them the power to show you their gentleness and love and you will give them back some of it wth your show, that’s the “relation” they look for. And they especially don’t like to tip for something that others get for free. The following yes/no-advices are for the little and almost unseen less popular rooms with less than 50 visitors at the same time, even less than 10 visitors. These small rooms still can earn some money with the kind of visitors described above, exactly because some of these visitors don’t want to share their personal experience with thousands of others mostly anonymous. These visitors rather like the small rooms with fewer visitors, because they want the said intimate “relation” with the model.
All of the following is debatable, because its from my personal experience. And of course im ready to discuss. Because im a straight male, the advice refers mainly to female model rooms, but most of these can be useful to small male or couple rooms as well.
Yes: sound ON and nice atmosphere with well-chosen pleasing music, nice pop or rock style, dancehall, soft music or jazz or reggae (from the 1970s thru 2000s)
Yes: offer music requests for a small tip
No: sound off
No: techno, punk or hard rock music
Yes: inviting room with nice colours not too full of furniture and stuff. A bed is fine or a seat to cuddle in, cushions and blankets (that also can be used for teasing activity).
Yes: good lighting, so visitors can see the details of your beautiful body
Yes: big mirror, so visitors can even see more of your body from all sides
No: laptops, phones or cables to be seen lying around
No: chaotic furniture or messy room, mountains of clothes, cosmetic or soap bottles, rests of your meals (esp. pizza packaging is a turnoff)
Yes: give visitors the impression you are there for them personally
Yes: look directly at your visitors through camera (they think you look at each of them personally)
Yes: Smile and laugh (at their jokes)
No: Grumpy face or looking bored (yes, I know camming can be boring, if there are only few visitors that do not tip, but if you look bored, there won´t be any tips)
No: watching a screen or smartphone (you seem not interested in their visit, they will go away)
Yes: talking to the visitors, answering their (not naughty or mean) public comments directly by voice or text, many want to talk first before they tip, because they want not just sex, but a little more of a relation
No: talking on the phone with others (visitors feel left out and unnoticed, they will leave after a minute without tipping)
No: accepting naughty or mean talk without tips, because if the visitors (the ones you want) see that you accept these naughty or mean talk, they will think you are poor or cheap
Yes: accepting and answering naughty talk in tip notes or in pm (as a teaser)
No: starting naughty talk yourself (visitors will think you are low or cheap)
No: naughty invitations to guys you dont know by DM
Yes: teasing or dancing (fully dressed or in underwear) touching your tits (with bra on), touching your pussy (with panty on), doggystyle position and moving ass (with clothes on)
No: nude show without tipping (why should one tip if you offer it for free?) or showing tits or pussy, spreading legs or fingering or using sex toys for free (don´t do anything that makes men cum without tipping)
Yes: starting your show dressed at least in underwear and get dressed again after nude show is over
Yes: doing house chores or “normal life” while online (washing dishes, laundry, cleaning the room, putting on make up) – but dressed. You can offer to get nude for a reasonable tip.
No: asking visitors for tips in public chat or pm (this breaks any illusion, they think you will do anything to get a few tokens, maybe they tip once, because they want to be gentlemen, but they will not come back)
No: accepting less tokens than in your tip menu from a first time visitor (they will think you are cheaper than your tip menu, they will never pay what you deserve).
No: doing free show or free pm in hope they will tip afterward. Some may do that out of sympathy, but they probably don’t come back, because they think your show was cheap (you gave it for free!) or you are in need of a free chat with them.
Yes: giving away extra minutes of show after they tipped. Example: they tipped for 1 minute fingering, and you give them 2 minutes (gives them the illusion of a special relationship and they will return the gift on their next visit).
Yes: for regular visitors accepting less tokens than the tip menu says (they will tip more because they want to return your friendliness)
No: pm for free for first time visitors
Yes: pm for free for regular visitors
Rather no than yes: lovense stuff (older guys usually don’t like the unnatural way of giving pleasure or looking at pink plastics in your vagina)
Rather yes than no: Dildos and sex toys you can play with (for tips!)
If there is more than one model in your room:
Yes: couples, that are intimate with each other (for tips!). Older guys often like to watch couples having sex and they are ready to pay more for the show if there is two or more of you.
No: one interacting with visitor, while the other person in your room is left out/sitting around idly. This is weird for most visitors and they don’t want somebody in the room just watching what they paid for.
Yes: all models interact with the visitor, so the visitor feels like being part of the party and can control what the models are doing with each other
No: loud talking or laughing with each other, so that the visitor feels left out of the party
