Today Vampire Bloodlines is on sale, it's based off the old World of Darkness Vampire the Masquerade. I don't know much about it other than that. $5
I also picked up Chantelise for 10% off which made it $9. Same people that made Reccetear which was awesome. So I bought it based on that.
Dino D-Day looks cool, but has a horrible metascore.

On Origin (EAs version of Steam basically) they have the Battlefield games on sale. Namely Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Bad Company 2 and Bad Company 2: Vietnam. All $5 each.

Today on Steam we have Naval Warfare. For only $2.50 you're not risking much. It looks cool but I've never played it before. Or even heard of it.

Also Amber needs to make a steam wishlist.

Video games baby. Yeah! To be honest with you, I spend so much time with computer screens for my job, that I just don't have it in me to look at a screen during other parts of the day.

So busy.

Can you make your signature bigger? It's too small to read

Missed the Midweek Madness

First up, the whole Paradox pack. Unadvertised in that is ALL the games in the pack are on sale individually. Hearts of Iron III, Europa Universalis and Victoria II all have some good Metascores. I own EU3 and V2 but haven't played either. I have played previous games in the Europa series and have loved them.
Also on is Anomaly: Warzone Earth. This looks and sounds cool. I'll be picking it up.

Vampire Bloodlines is EPIC, though you'll want to download the large fan-made patch for it. But yeah it is seriously a fan-fucking-tastic rpg. Was made by Troika, which is a bunch of guys who previously were part of Black Isle (Baldur's Gate 1&2, Planescape Torment etc)

I have Europa Universalis III as well, and agree it is probably a great game but to me trying to get started and learn how it all worked was pretty daunting so I haven't played with it since. Sometimes the most complex and detailed things have the most depth but the highest learning curve.

King's Bounty is on sale today. Always thought this looked cool. 78/100 metascore for the latest expantion (Crossworlds $4.99). 79/100 for the original ($3.24). Armored princess ($6.24) has a 82/100.
$8.74 for the whole package.

Doom and Quake are also on sale. 50% each title or 65% for the complete package(31 games, $69.99). If you pre-purchase Skyrim and Rage you can get the complete pack for $39.99.

Correction, the 69.99 pack that you get for 39.99 is the QuakeCon pack. It includes Fallout games, Brink, Wolfenstein and a ton of other stuff. All are on sale by themselves as well.
The Complete pack is 29.99. 19.99 is you preorder Rage.

Terraria is on sale for $4.99
GET THIS GAME.
Srsly. U nEEd it. Iz gud.
Ok, so you have a game like minecraft. Open world with a crafting system, simple graphics. Mine for your materials. Now we have challenging bosses, more of an adventure game than Minecraft. Some platforming gets thrown in. Seriously, this game is awesome. $4.99 for it is a steal.

I was going to buy a 4 pack of Terraria and send them out to forum members, but I can't since I already own it. Fuck man, just refuse my money.

Anyways, Beat Hazard is on sale. I bought it. Can't play it right now though, family thing.

One part music.
A dash of Raiden (just a dash)
And a hand full of LCD.

I got that one with maybe an hour to go while it was on sale- very good game.

Ok, some good weekend deals here:

Dungeons- Really fun game where you get to build up the dungeon, summon monsters and watch heroes squirm. $13.50 (DLC at about $1 each)

Tropico 3- Sure the 4th one is coming out soon, but this is cheap. Control a small island nation, cheat elections, etc. $7 for Gold, $5 itself.

Patrician IV- fun little trading empire building game. I enjoyed this game. $10 game, $7 DLC

A ton of other awesome looking games are lurking around here.

Burn Zombie Burn is a fun little game for $3.33 today.
You basically run around the screen being attacked by zombies and have to kill them. Simple enough.
Arcade feel with lots of power ups and tons of weapons.

Gratuitous Space Battles is up for sale and I love this game. You get to pick out a fleet (that you can design off stock hulls) from something like 4 races. From there you customize their orders and priorities and then let them loose on the opposing force. The computer handles the devastation so it's all up to your planning. $5 one day only

Hoard is 50% off. Awesome game. Run around a map burning knights, towns, towers, archers while stealing gold and princesses.

The controls on that game made me want to strangle puppies.

Not steam but similar....gog.com is a digital download service by game developers CDProjektRed... this weekend only they have their game The Witcher 2 at $29.99. You can get it on Steam but for like, I dunno $60 or something.

Easily the best RPG of the year, aggregate reviews somewhere around 9.6-9.8

Weekend deal is Warhammer 40,000
Seriously if you don't have anything, just buy the complete pack.
Dawn of War is amazing. It's easily one of the best RTS games I've ever played (and I've played a lot). I love it. Best way to go for all of it is Dawn of War Platinum (includes DoW, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade) $15 and Soulstorm $10.
Dawn of War II is pretty good. This one focuses on a team of 4 units instead of armies for the campaign. Still very good. Dawn of War II is $10, Chaos Rising is $10 and Retribution is $15.
The complete pack includes all of this, PLUS all the faggy DLC for Retribution AND Space Marine ($50 value). All for $100

Heh you know what blows major ass? it's $179.99 for me, over steam, just because I live in Australia they jack the price up. Seriously wtf??! It's a digital service...that's like MFC charging me 1.8x the price of tokens compared to US citizens.

I'll keep that in mind next time I need an extra person for a 4 pack.

wow wait so you could get someone in the cheapest place to buy it, to gift it at the cheap price lol

All things Counter Strike are on sale. Complete pack for $7.49. This is all thanks to Counter Strike: Global Operations. This game has been the most played action PC game in the world since it was released as a mod for Half Life.
All things Borderlands are also on sale. Game $5. DLC 7.49. GOTY edition 7.49 (includes game and DLC). 4-pack for $14.99. I LOVE borderlands. You can of course play four player co op. If you wanted a good cheap video game to use as a raffle prize or a wall game prize, this would be it. $5 each and you get a free one for yourself. However after this weekend, it's back up to being a $20 game. So if you have 3 copies up for grabs on a wall prize you it's worth 200+ tokens to a winner but only 100 tokens to you. So if you can get 150 tokens out of it (roughly 9 spaces at 50 tokens each with 6 free to you prizes to break even) you'll just need to pull in 450 to make your money back. Add in some other tasty prizes and you're on your way to some profit.

Another 4 pack game for today. This one not nearly as good as Borderlands, but looks fun. The deal here is only 50% off.
If you wanted to use it for a prize you're looking at needing 50 tokens per game to break even. Unfortunately that's about what a person would pay for it in cash ($5) since you only get roughly half of the token value.

You forgot to say what the game was :P

Is it Steel Storm?

Steam emailed me back about the game prices and said the publishers set the price not steam...which is pretty obvious now that I think about it.

Wow, kind of an obvious oversight on my part. I can't believe I forgot. Yes, it is Steel Storm.
