He needs an address yes to send the police to however all he would have to do is believe he has a case of human trafficking going on and the police WILL investigate it. They will go and question the girls and such and see if they are being held against their will, if they have their papers if they are foreign, and things like that. You can call in a wellness check for anyone at anytime so dont forget that.

The thing is they get a lot of foreign girls either by kidnapping or with promises of work in the US and they get them here and keep their passports (if they have one) and force them to work by camming, stripping, escorting, etc and the girls arent supposed to be here and they DO deport them when found. Its pretty hard to be granted amnesty and such even from war torn countries. The girls will recieve medical help if needed but other than that they get sent back.

Now again indentured servitude and sex trafficking is very rare compared to the rest of the world and this girls story sounds like beyond crap but it does happen and can happen. Many of the girls do not reach out for fear reasons or deportation fears.

Occam's razor - the hypothesis with less assumptions is the one that should be chosen.

She was hard on her luck. No family to help. Signed illegal contract. Prisoner in her studio. Evil overlord boss who won't let her leave or see people. Yet is able to cam and have contact with thousands of people daily. Forced to work 84 hours a week, or more if she doesn't meet a quota. No way out except to make lots of money to pay off her illegal contract.

Or, she's a lying con artist out to bilk money from an easy mark.

Which makes more sense?
I lean a little more towards con artist myself. But I don't think I would be able to rule out the first scenario based just on Occam's razor.

It is entirely possible that there is a person being coerced here. If it was me, I would invest just enough to try and put my mind at ease one way or the other.

But regardless of whether she is a victim or not, the situation as a whole is most certainly a scam.

Not to be argumentative, but where things like this occur, I believe it's SOP to first obtain the cooperation of the local police and political officials. That's why the girls are usually deported, to keep them from being available to press charges and testify in court cases.

As for the United States, I would suspect, based upon first hand testimony I've heard from people in immigration, health & human services, etc, that a lot of the sex trafficking here is tied to illegal immigration from mexico and central america, but in those cases, I would expect the girls to be involved in prostitution, not camming. it takes a certain amount of intelligence, language skills and social skills to be successful as a cam girl, and anyone possessing those qualities and having access to computers and smart phones and living in the united states is not going to be held against their will for long. I'm not saying it's absolutely impossible, just highly unlikely.

But in the scenario described above, I have no doubt it's a scam, and it would take a lot to convince me otherwise.

People have different skillsets - I know lots of people who are really good at some (or all) of the aspects you mention, but are almost illiterate when it comes to technology. Then all it would take to make them not try to get away/ask for help is providing enough 'evidence' that they are being monitored 24x7 that it would make most people very afraid to try anything. To give you an idea of how this actually plays out, I recommend this NPR article about how access to easy spying tools is being exploited by domestic abusers to control their victims.

Thank you for that sobering wake up call. I've spent so much time in the command shell; it's hard for me to remember that not everyone is comfortable with computers.

I wont say who cause it was said in MO but another camgirl just recently found spyware on one of her old computers her ex had put on it to monitor her without her knowledge. It's very easily done and these programs can be very advanced. From reading every key typed to being able to turn on a webcam to even watch the person or listen to them all remotely. These programs even keep logs and save everything. They are available to put on cell phones as well. It would not be hard or even very costly to keep a victim in check from asking for help with stuff like that.

I hate when they tell us these stories...AND WE DON'T FIND OUT HOW THEY END!
